  1. Hi all, just got my new ride but i have not bought the season parking yet, so right now I have to put those coupons? Or is there anyway I can pay online, axs of wat? I do not have the season parking disc yet... Ialso do not has singpass yet...
  2. Just to highlight my experience at ICA building carpark. I fetched someone to collect her passport. Parked my car in a lot at the public carpark and waited in car - windows down and engine stopped. Auntie passed by (they super on), and asked me to display parking coupon. I was reading newspaper inside. I am not arguing that she was wrong, because technically she was correct. However, when I do the same in HDB carpark lots, no warden has asked me to display coupon. Why the different practice? Anyone has the same experience?
  3. dear all , Just to remind & warn all forumers about my inccident . On 15 sept at 1455 hrs I parked my car in Century Square carpark which is offer per minute charge and after 1501 hrs will be charge at SGD 2.10 flat rate on weekend and PH . It was very shock to me when I driving off at 2055 hrs as my parking fee amounted at SGD 17.00+ !!!! After I clarify with Metro Parking ( Mall Tenant ) the SGD 2.10 flat rate only apply for those drive in after 1501 hrs and before 1501 hrs will charge all the way at per minute basic ????? This very misleading for us and feel that they try to play monkey game !! The Metro carpark staff even can tell me that how come I never read the terms & conditions displayed at barrier ?? How can expect us to stop and wide down the window to read every single word before enter to carpark ??
  4. I know is CNY, and everybody is visiting each others, but have neglected the parking attitude. sigh, even red lot also ganna parked, i have no lot for myself except to drive down a few blocks to park. I have to clarify, not all red lot is 7am to 7pm, and i think still got drivers is either ignored, thinking there wont be attendant around, or thinking is 7am to 7pm. ridiculous siah

  7. Here's a sequence events that occurred today. 3:15pm - Decided to wash car and walked towards washing bay. To my dismay, a Van was parked slanted there, occupying all the washing bay lots. The owner was nowhere to be found. 3:20pm - Tired of waiting and decided to call for HDB enforcement. Went home where I can have a good view of the washing bay. 3:40pm - Enforcement officer arrived in his scooter. Waited for about 5 mins before taking out his device to punch in something. 3:45pm - A man ran frantically towards the officer and seemed to explain something to him. He immediately re-aligned his van such that it only occupied one lot. Enforcement officer drove off after that. Throughout the process, no ticket was issued. 4:30pm - The van is still parked at the washing bay, owner nowhere to be found. My mum told me he was spotted helping out at the void deck wedding. WTF...
  8. Hi to all, Tried searching for any info related to this in the forum but couldnt find any, so pls pardon me if topic had been discussed before. Just noted one police officer taking numbers of all the cars parking illegally outside a shopping centre, then went back to his police car and drove off. Reckoned its from nearby NP Post. Anyone knows if it would lead in a fine? Will they refer to HDB or TP to issue a fine?
  9. Hi ppl, Can the old season parking label be replaced when i receive the new one? I find it a damn hassle to remember to put it on the 30th or 31st every month... Putting 2 labels on my windscreen is also an eyesore. Since i pay by giro and it can be seen on the label, is it necessary to follow the label's effective date? Because, theoretically speaking, in order to have my giro set up, i would have to be parking at the particular location for abt 2 mths at least right (which renders my previous label to be valid)? thks.
  10. Can I re-use coupon under the following situations - Q1. $2 coupon reused to park at different car park lots with $0.50 half hourly charge. Q2. $2 coupon used to park 1 hour in CBD ($1.00 per half hour) and re-used outside CBD ($0.50 per half hour) for another 1 hour. Q3. $2 coupon parked 1 hour in CBD ($1.00 per half) from 4pm to 5pm and carry on using same coupon after 5 pm in the same CBD lot (which becomes $0.50 per to hour after 5pm).
  11. Pardon me for my ignorance. I've seen several cars with a clip on mirror over the side mirrors, presumably for parking/blind spot. Where to get huh?
  12. THanks for reading.. Got help from it already.
  13. Dec 20, 2007 Ugly Singaporeans rear their heads in carpark I WISH to share these experiences with readers. These happened twice over three days at the same carpark next to the Tampines Regional Library. I had noticed at least three Singapore-registered cars lined just before the exit with drivers at the ready. As I approached the exit barrier, two cars immediately dashed out and tailgated my car, supposedly joining the queue to exit. However, I was very perturbed when the drivers revved their engines, trying to inch closer to my bumper and, as I exited, the car immediately behind mine sneaked past the barrier. I tried to slow down and stopped as I exited but was honked at. A similar incident happened again two days later at the same car park exit. My question is: Why do the carpark authorities allow such blatant abuse? The ugly Singaporean surfaces everywhere - not only at the buffet tables. 15. I think that coupon parking is a very obsolete system liao. URA and HDB should install more of the those nifty little "ERP" in carparks. Ha ha... this must be an invitation for fire for those who cheated, I know. To be honest, I don't cheat when it comes to parking, but always kinda fine for the wrong reasons like tear wrong date, expired a little more than 5 minutes, etc. And I hated it when you are in a meeting and the meeting went beyond your expected time frame and you constantly have to fear being summon. And also, if you are in popular carparks, 1/4 of those lots are taken up by people waiting!!! They just want to save $$$ but you kena made to wait! So with the ERP system, one need not worry about tearing wrong dates and expired coupons. In addition, these ERP system charge by per 15 minutes block? So who cheat here? Com'on! Admit it! ke ke ke...

  20. There you have it.. 3 cars that can't park properly.
  21. today's ST reports heavy commercial vehicles (below 1.8ton) will be allowed season parking in hdb carparks (previously allowed only if unladen weight < 1.5 ton) knowing the gahmen, this will create demand > supply, so be prepared what comes next
