  2. Not likely to happen here anytime soon I guess... Any MDA MCFers here? Not enough Canadian porn on adult TV: regulator Published on Mar 07, 2014 3:14 AM OTTAWA (AFP) - Canada's broadcasting regulator wants to see more locally-made porn on Canadian television, judging by a notice on its website that accuses three channels of failing to meet licensing requirements. The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) said three Toronto-based adult channels have failed to provide a minimum of 35 per cent Canadian content. The rules require a portion of programming to be at least partly written, produced or presented by persons in Canada, in order to bolster the local industry and showcase Canadian content. A hearing has been scheduled for April 28 to decide whether the broadcasting licenses of AOV Adult Movie Channel, XXX Action Clips and Maleflixxx should be renewed. 3. if you have 4 adults in your household, congratulations you are a US$ millionaire household. Also average singaporean household only have little debt despite high COE and property prices. But i have a question, what is the definition of non financial asset? FROM BT THE average household wealth per adult here jumped 129 per cent from US$112,800 (S$138,654) in 2000 to US$258,117 in the middle of this year. Credit Suisse Research Institute, announcing the figures on Wednesday, said this made for an average increase of 7.1 per cent a year. In its latest annual Global Wealth Report 2012, it said Singapore's average wealth per adult puts the country as the third wealthiest nation in the Asia-Pacific, and eighth globally. Here, more than 80 per cent of the population have assets above US$10,000; 48 per cent have assets above US$100,000. Household total assets here are divided roughly equally into financial assets (48 per cent) and non-financial assets (52 per cent). The average household debt of US$45,600 is moderate for a high-income country, equating to 18 per cent of net wealth; the average is 20 to 30 per cent of wealth in advanced economies. As a nation, Singapore's total wealth shrank by US$25 billion or 2.5 per cent to US$1 trillion in the past year, mainly due to reduction in household financial assets measured in USD. Globally, aggregate global household wealth fell 5.2 per cent or by US$12.3 trillion in current dollar terms to US$223 trillion between mid-2011 and the middle of this year, due to the Eurozone debt crisis and the global economic slowdown. The report also noted that the Asia-Pacific overtook Europe as the world's largest wealth holding region in current dollar terms by the middle of this year, after Europe lost household wealth of US$10.9 trillion

  7. - I have 2 kids under 3 yrs old, so using 2 forward facing child seats. - Wife currently using the Honda Stream to drive them around. - When we put 2 child seats in middle row, Adult cannot sit comfortably in between - Now put one child seat in the middle row, and one child seat in the last row - Personally do not like this arrangement because worried about safety of child in event of rear end accident. As you know hatchback style cars got no boot, so if rear end collision means last row kenna jialat - wanted to deactivate the front passenger airbag, and put one seat in front, but Kah Motors say will void my warranty So my question is, from your personal experience, which cars can fit 2 child seats with one Adult in between comfortably? (It can be an MPV with a wide middle row, or it can be a car with a boot, doesn't matter) was thinking of Toyota Estima or S-class, anyone with feedback on these or alternatives? look forward to your recommendations

  10. Save my house, Hollywood Desperate homeowners let in film crew to earn $3,000 a day, but risk getting nasty surprises January 20, 2009 HURTING from the current recession but love your home too much to sell it off? Some Los Angeles homeowners have found a way to earn extra cash while holding on to their houses - they called Hollywood. These enterprising homeowners have laid out the welcome mat for film crew, offering their homes as sets for movies and commercials, reported Bloomberg. Said MrJoseph Darrell, who runs Joe Darrell Location Service, which sources locations for film sets: 'We are getting a lot of calls (from homeowners). They say, 'Can you help me to bring a production to my home, because I have trouble making my payments.' But letting in film crews is not without setbacks. MsMarylin Bitner, who owns PlanA Locations, said one client 'almost had a heart attack' when he saw that his living room had been painted fluorescent yellow. But another was quite happy to have a new gate installed in front of his house, MsBitner said. He called it the 'pay-it-forward' gate. Clothing and jewellery designer Jayshree Gupta too is happy to let cameramen tramp about her 3,000-sq-ft Bevely Hills penthouse. 'I am doing it because I need money to maintain my lifestyle. A lot of my money is either gone or tied up. Right now I am hurting,' she said as crew members laid protective paper over her hardwood floor and moved in lighting and camera gear. Her home is being used for a day as a set for a TV commercial for a day. She declined to say how much she was being paid, but Mr Darrell, who landed the deal for her, said the going rate for filming work in a place like hers is US$2,000 ($3,000) to US$3,000 a day. That amount would pay half her monthly household bills and maid service. Added MsGupta: 'I am praying, praying, for more productions to come in. 'I thought it was a brilliant idea to help myself.' MsBitner told Bloomberg that she has been getting more than a dozen calls from homeowners each week, up from about two a week a year ago. She said: 'We're getting all sorts of houses. From small homes, where owners are hoping production money will save their house, to very large mansions, where owners hope to avoid having to dig into their savings or having to sell stocks.' Still, there are some perks to letting your property out for film-making. For one, income from residential filming for fewer than 15 days a year isn't subject to federal taxes, according to the Internal Revenue Service. For another, you may get to rub shoulders with a movie star. Said MsBitner: 'We've had Alec Baldwin, Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr, among many others. They are always posing with our clients' kids.' But it's not just homeowners that are trying to make their properties earn their keep. More owners of commercial buildings are also letting in film crews. But many are willing to settle for less than the US$6,500 or more a day that was previously offered, said MrDarrell. Meanwhile, one desperate homeowner, Mr Jerry Mendoza, was hard up enough to go to compromise on his integrity for more cash. He had hoped to sell his four-bedroom house in suburban Burbank, which he built in 2006, for US$1.3 million. When the tenants he rented the home to left in November, he leased it for filming. But the most he had received for a day was US$1,300, he said. So he offered his home on an Internet notice for the adult-film industry - because he had heard it paid up to US$5,000 a day. Maybe the homeowner can be part of the acting crews for the adult-firm industry :)

To celebrate his success, he asked his men to chop off the penises of each member of the defeated army. He arrived home with 13,000 penises. His ancient monument at Karnak has a detail of which penis belonged to whom -- Libyan generals, Libyans, Sirculians, Etruscans, and Greeks.
  12. Hi MCF bros n sis, I'm a brand new driver of a brand new Nissan Latio. After a few days driving, really enjoy it. But After scrutinized detail figures in the brochure, I realized that its Gross Vehicle Weight is only 1415 kg. After minus its 1110 kg kerb weight. The payload is only 305 kg. So if I got to carry 5 adult (include driver), average of passenger's weight has to be below 61kg (305/5 =61). If there's any load inside boot, the passenger weight limit has to be lower again. Anyone has idea what's average weight of singapore adult? Based my own observation, 61kg might be below average weight of singapore gentlemen. Now, I dare not to volunteer carrying my colleagues out for lunch as some of them are as big size as Ang Mo guy, at least above 85kg leh. If one such big guy sits in, the other 3 have to be below 51kg/each as I myself is 66kg. Isn't it ridiculous for an owner of 5-seater sedan to have such worry? Would like to hear from other Latio user on this point. p.s. Compare below table, I really overlooked this issue before signed the dotted line. Gross Weight Kerb Weight standard man+load * (Gross - Kerb) Latio (sedan) 1415 1110 305 Sunny (EX) 1605 1110 495 New Vios (J) 1505 1040 465 Altis 1600 1175 425 * info from below thread which is the most closed thread in MCF. http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi...%20gross;#73453
  13. Voluntary HIV-screening for all adult male inpatients at hospitals By Julia Ng, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 18 September 2007 1702 hrs Voluntary HIV-screening for all adult male inpatients at hospitals SINGAPORE: By year's end, all adult male patients admitted to hospitals will be asked if they would like to take a HIV-screening test. Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan told Parliament on Tuesday he is also changing the Infectious Diseases Act soon so that no one will be able to claim ignorance of one's HIV-positive status as defence against charges of high-risk behaviour. He said: "All individuals who engage in high-risk sexual behaviour must go for regular HIV-testing. The Infectious Diseases Act makes it an offence for someone who is HIV-positive to have sex without informing his sexual partner of his HIV status. I will soon come to this House to amend the Act to clarify that ignorance of one's HIV status will not be a defence for those who engage in high-risk sexual behaviour." There are 3,338 known HIV-infected patients in Singapore, with 278 infected in the first eight months of this year. But what is worrying, Mr Khaw said, is the prevalence of undiagnosed HIV. A Health Ministry study conducted early this year found this to be 1 in 350, or a prevalence of 0.28 percent. In 2005, United Nations AIDS estimated that Singapore's total adult prevalence of diagnosed and undiagnosed HIV patients was at 0.3 percent - higher than the 0.1 percent for Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Korea. Later this year, Singapore hospitals will start testing adult male inpatients on a voluntary basis. Some MPs have asked if the screening could be made routine for the entire population, but Mr Khaw said this move may not be cost effective. Dr Lim Wee Kiak, MP of Sembawang GRC, said: "Perhaps the Ministry could consider adding HIV-testing as part of the testing so the entire male cohort of Singaporeans can be screened regularly when they're doing their re-service or when they go back to NS (national service) at the age of 25, 30 or 35." Replying, Mr Khaw said: "Population-wide screening or testing will, of course, have a trade-off that we have to make in terms of cost to the screening. And also you don't want to cause unnecessary inconvenience to the vast majority. "That's why if you study the US CDC (Communicable Disease Centre) recommendation, they are careful in that even in hospital setting, they recommend voluntary but routine screening only if the prevalence is above a certain level. "And in our case, our adult male prevalence rate has exceeded the threshold, but not for females. That is why we're doing (this) step by step. "And I think the first step that we'll be doing before the end of this year is to start offering HIV-testing on adult males. With the benefit of those data, we can then plan our strategy, going forward." Mr Khaw added that so far, no country has made HIV-screening compulsory. Whats ur view on this? Why only male? I think female also muz check...
