utterly disappointed with HDB (whats new?!) Long story short: collected BTO flat keys Feb 2016, punggol along waterway area recently spotted master bedroom toilet door starting to split at the edges from the bottom. first noticed in July 2017. called HDB and was informed past warranty period. nothing can be done. gave me contractor's contact for quote, contractor bo huh me. fine few days ago, spotted common toilet door starting to split at the edges from the top. emailed into HDB feedback. received call from the same officer who spoke to me the first time and regurgitated the same "out of warranty" story. when i refused to budge, another lady spoke to me and said it may be due to the owners not doing proper maintenance and due to usage issues. seriously? how to use until the edges split? bang the door daily as a hobby? if its only one door, fine, i suay. now its both doors. obviously its quality issues! we topup for optional components for inferior products! kaos. (no idea why after attaching the picture was rotated) any bros encountered anything similar and managed to get HDB do something about the issue? can share? im so sorry for starting in the wrong section.. how can i move it to non-car related! sorry!!

A while ago I was traveling at CTE. Traffic very good, not much car. I was at extreme left. I do all my signal as usual. I don't anyhow change lane. Travel at 80km/hr Out of no where, a MPV from behind me 4 car length hi-beam me for nothing. Thinking maybe he accidentally hi-beamed me. So I carry on driving. Next he hi-beam 2 times continuously. After 5 sec again and again. While he hi beam, he still 4 car length away from me. I start to get angry and at the same time telling myself to cool down. A few sec later I'm able to cool down and carry on my journey. That MPV again, hi-beam like drinking water. I'm glad that I exit Moulmein staying clear away from that "SIAO driver". A RESIDENT at a local condominium who claimed that he was assaulted by a top Saudi Arabian diplomat on Jan 9 over a parking dispute filed charges this week 'because I expect to be protected by the law'. But the law is clear. A diplomat is immune from prosecution for all criminal acts. Singapore is a party to the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. Under it, a diplomat and members of his household may not be arrested or detained. This case comes on the heels of another in which a Romanian diplomat was allegedly the driver of a car involved in two hit-and-run incidents last Dec 15, leaving one man dead and two others grievously injured. The diplomat left Singapore for home two days after the incidents, and has since made scurrilous attacks on the Singapore Government while refusing to come back to attend a coroner's inquiry into the death.

SINGAPORE: Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has said it is puzzled by comments made to the media by the former Romanian Charge d’Affaires linked to a hit—and—run case here. Dr Silviu Ionescu had said that prosecutors in Singapore were accusing him long before they had the right to do so. The Ministry said this in response to Dr Ionescu’s remark that there should be a preliminary inquiry first and that this was clearly a sign that he should not return to the island—state. In a statement released Friday, MFA said no charges have been made and no judgement has been passed on Dr Ionescu. "As Singapore has made clear, the Coroner’s Inquiry to be held from 3 to 10 March 2010 into the death of Mr Tong Kok Wai is not a criminal trial. The Coroner’s Inquiry is simply to ascertain the facts and circumstances of the death," MFA said. It reiterated that police investigations have revealed that the driver of the vehicle at the time of the two accidents was Dr Silviu Ionescu. It noted that Dr Ionescu has denied this. "As we have said many times, if Dr Ionescu was not the driver as he claims, then he should take the opportunity to attend the Inquiry to give his account of the events and pose questions to the witnesses, in order that the true circumstances surrounding the accidents may be determined," MFA said. "Singapore’s legal system is well—known internationally for its integrity and transparency. The Coroner will make a finding based on the evidence presented before him." There is a Coroner’s Inquiry next Wednesday into the death of Tong Kok Wai. MFA has sought the assistance of the Romanian Embassy to request Dr Ionescu to return to Singapore to attend the Coroner’s Inquiry as an "interested person" and not as a potential defendant. It said that the Public Prosecutor has not decided whether it is appropriate to charge Dr Ionescu for any offences. It added that the decision will be taken only after all the facts have been clarified at the Coroner’s Inquiry. "If the Coroner rules that Dr Ionescu was not the driver, no charges against him will be made. For this reason, it is in Dr Ionescu’s interest to return to Singapore to put his version before the Coroner or to appoint a lawyer in Singapore to do so on his behalf," MFA said. It also said found another comment made by Dr Ionescu "shocking". Dr Ionescu had reportedly said: "Someone died. It’s not something solitary, but happens all over the world. I was really bored by some school kids (teenages) and old people who reserved seats in the library next to where they are sitting not because they have a friend but because they want more space to do their reading especially in the newspapar/magazine area the staff do nothing about it and if it is crowd those people who canty find a seat just stand and read how come so selfish Library visit ruined by unruly students ON MAY 6, I visited the Children's Section at Bishan Community Library with my toddler. To my dismay, I was assaulted by noisy laughter and chatter among a group of secondary schoolboys in uniform. They were sitting on a bench meant for cosy reading by parents and kids. Also, one of two small tables with small chairs was occupied by a group of secondary schoolgirls, also in uniform. They were engaged in casual talk, glancing and giggling occasionally at the boys. Nearby, in one of the aisles, were a boy and girl, yes, in school uniform, sitting on the floor and getting acquainted. Oblivious to this were the library staff, who were pushing trolleys and shelving books. Frustrated, I chose the books I wanted to borrow for my toddler and shelved the idea of sitting down to read with her. I decided to leave the library as soon as possible as I did not want my toddler to learn ungracious behaviour from her older 'brothers and sisters'. Can the National Library Board (NLB) look into this unbecoming attitude of some library users? If it is not nipped in the bud, it could create a generation of ungracious adults. This slow attitude has come to the notice of USA , the pupils of the fast and "do it now" brigade. This no-rush attitude doesn't represent doing less or having a lower productivity It means working and doing things with greater quality, productivity, perfection, with attention to detail and less stress.It means re-establishing family values, friends, free and leisure time. Taking the "now", present and concrete, versus the "global", undefined and anonymous.It means taking humans' essential values, the simplicity of living. It stands for a less coercive work environment, more happy, lighter and more productive work place where humans enjoy doing what they know best how to do. It's time to stop and think on how companies need to develop serious quality with no-rush that will increase productivity and the quality of products and services, without losing the essence.
