Hi, started this thread to find out more about Thule racks. Would like to request folks who have used Thule racks before to share their experiences. For me, I am currently exploring the possibility of fixing roof racks + roof box onto my Toyota MPV (Sienta). I have some questions that I hope can find some answers. 1) For cars without roof rails, how are Thule racks fixed onto the roof? Is any drilling of hole on the roof required? Read that cars with screw-holes on their rain gutter can be use to fix racks. Is this also possible for Toyota cars? 2) Besides Pro-RV, any other shops in Singapore that sells Thule racks? 3) Any problems that can result from installing roofracks? Eg, water leaking into car from the roof. 4) Any issues with height for entering MSCP? 5) How badly is FC affected with the empty box on, and also with just the rack without box? 6) Is the installation permanent, and cannot remove easily if we don't want the racks in future? 7) They have so many boxes, hard and soft type. Which model of box have you tried and which is good? I guess too big not good too small also not good. 8) The picture I found at the bottom is RV-INNO rack nd box. Any place selling this RV-INNO brand in Spore? Thanks for any contribution.

Does anyone know where I can procure a bike rack(not roof) for my Lancer EX? Is the rack easily detachable and does anyone know the approx price of such a rack? Also, how safe is it to park the car with a bike attached? Have there been cases of bikes or bike parts being stolen? Thanks!

I bought some racks with shelves for my bomb shelter 1 year back. These shelves are made from MDF. After a few months, i realised that they keep having some dust flake off on the underside of the shelves and the smell is terrible especially in an enclosed storeroom. Basically all my items are partly covered by this dust and i really get irritated when i have to go inside to take something. No more MDF boards for me. Is this a common problem with people using MDF boards for their storeroom racks? Hence, I'm looking for suppliers of plywood shelves. You guys know any?

Folks, Has anyone mounted a bike rack onto the hatchback that has a rear spoiler (no gap between)? Meaning that the bike rack basically ledges onto the rear trunk and the pivoting straps (of the rack) basically runs along the spoiler surface.. My wife is driving a latio sports hatch that comes with a rear spoiler. The spoiler does protrudes out a fair bit. We will like to mount our Saris bone bike rack onto the rear, but afraid that the spoiler can't take the weight of two bikes. The spoiler does not have a gaps between to allow the rack straps to follow the contours of the car rear. Thanks.

Hello everyone, Found a small reddish oil patch on the car porch tiles this morning. Dropped by workshop during lunch and was told the power steering rack is leaking, an entire replacement unit cost in excess a thousand bucks. As I'm planning to scrap vehicle in 3 months time, mechanic advised me to perform a check every morning and top-up if necessary. Is there any way to plug the leak temporally? Was told leak will get worst over time. More importantly, are there any safety issues to be worried about? Thank you.

Hi, thinking of installing Thule roof rack but heard that it can be noisy at high speed, even with the Thule Aerobars. I want to leave the bars on the car when not transporting my bikes. Not too concern about FC but particular about excessive wind noise. Thule have new product call Wingbar, claim to cut down noise to almost cannot hear. Anyone use before can comment if it really works and really is noiseless? Is it worth it to pay more for Wingbars? Normal aerobars New Wingbars -

Hi all, I found bicycles taking up precious space in a HDB home. Parking outside along the corridors subject to theft and mischief (what to do HDB living is like that? ). Asking around.. any bro know the W210 steering hydraulic rack who to get from recon? current one is leaking but repair shop say they don't want change the O ring as they did a few times other car and always spoil. ask me buy the whole rack assembly. any bros got lobang? recond price was quoted about $900 Thanks
