  1. Should Singapore Bring in Ford Focus ST Wagon? I have watched some of the media launches ystd from Taiwan media and was shocked that the Focus is a well-positioned and well-liken car in Taiwan! I wish that Singapore will have such responses towards car like this too! Maybe our TP can consider too?

  6. [extract] With its dynamic good looks and handling prowess, the Ford Focus is aiming to be the international best seller for year 2012. According to Ford, the brand sold 522,821 Focus models worldwide during the first seven months of this year. This puts it ahead of the Toyota Corolla and the Volkswagen Golf in terms of global sales. According to Aaron Bragman, an automotive industry analyst for IHS Global Insight, the Focus has several advantages over the perennial best-seller, the Corolla. The offering from the Blue Oval brand is newer, features better handling and styling, has superior technology and a much nicer interior than the Corolla.
  7. Just when you thought how Ford manage to squeeze 123bhp out of the tiny 3-cylinder 1.0-litre Ecoboost engine, Superchips, a British company specialising in electronic engine tuning, upped the ante. Through an engine control unit (ECU) upgrade, the UK firm managed to boost the output of the engine to 145bhp at 6,169 rpm and 227Nm of torque at 2,656 rpm. This is done by rewriting the ignition, fuelling and boost control parameters of the Bosch MED17 engine management found in 1.0L turbocharged Focus. The British tuning firm claims that the remap will not cause the fuel consumption figure to fall below that of the standard 123bhp Focus as long as the car is driven in a

  10. Performance cars usually rely on large displacement engines that deliver high power. But technologies such as turbocharging and direct injection have changed things nowadays and Ford is looking at a more powerful version of its 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine. Ford officially introduced its 1.0 litre turbocharged three cylinder EcoBoost engine late last year. It was developed by Ford engineers in the United Kingdom and the engine generates around 123bhp. The engine will be used in the Ford Focus and a 100bhp version will be introduced in Ford models such as the C-Max, Grand C-Max and B-Max. Normally, we won

  14. [extract] It has been quite some time since I saw a full page advertisement on the Ford Focus. Hence, the Ford Focus advertisement (Refer to the blog photograph above) on The Straits Times on 2 July 11 immediately caught my attention. Initially, I thought Regent Motors was competing head on with Volkswagen Singapore (which happens to advertise the all new Jetta on the same day) with the launch of the all new Focus. However, on a closer look, I realized that the car in the advertisement is actually the existing Ford Focus on sale in Singapore. However, Focus fans need not be disappointed as the advertisement is a sign of things to come

  16. You don't have to oogle at the new 300bhp Ford Focus RS anymore because its coming to town. Though in limited numbers, the new RS version will be making its way to our shores sometime in April. Due to the high demand in Europe, there just aren't that many to go round the world. Luckily though, a few Singaporeans will be able to get their hands on the wheel of this hyper hot hatch which is set to compete with the Golf R and the new Megane Renaultsport RS. With 300bhp on its front wheels, you'd think that there will be tons of understeer but Ford has promised 'exceptional handling' with their new front suspension. It seems that hatches these days are becoming increasingly popular and so is the demand for higher power. I can't wait to get my hands on this one for a drive.. Pity there just wouldn't be a proper place to push this baby to the edge. Unless Ford is ready to get an open area like Jaguar, Audi and Mitsubishi have done in the past to showcase the new RS, driving it on normal roads just wouldn't be the same and having 300 horses lurching you forward with your skull glued to the headrest. Now that's what I want to feel..
  17. [extract] Say hello to the new Ford Focus. This stunning new model is set to make heads turn.. It has all the hot-hatch ingredients with massive driver appeal, a handsome look to it, and technology that is up to date. Set to go on sale in 2010, the third generation of the family car will showcase a dramatic new look that
