  1. both the RX-7 (FC) and RX-7(FD) are powered by rotary engines...what's so special about rotary engines?and how much they able to punch out so much HP and torque from such a small powertrain(1300cc)?does it have any weak point?
  2. Breaking News : Soccer star Pele, Brazilian legend of the beautiful game, dies at 82 Andrew Downie and Gabriel Araujo Fri, 30 December 2022 at 3:08 am SGT By Andrew Downie and Gabriel Araujo SAO PAULO (Reuters) -Pele, the legendary Brazilian soccer player who rose from barefoot poverty to become one of the greatest and best-known athletes in modern history, died on Thursday at the age of 82. Sao Paulo's Albert Einstein hospital, where Pele was undergoing treatment, said he died at 3:27 p.m. "due to multiple organ failures resulting from the progression of colon cancer associated with his previous medical condition." The death of the only man to win the World Cup three times as a player was confirmed on his Instagram account. "Inspiration and love marked the journey of King Pele, who peacefully passed away today," it read, adding he had "enchanted the world with his genius in sport, stopped a war, carried out social works all over the world and spread what he most believed to be the cure for all our problems: love." Tributes poured in from across the worlds of sport, politics and popular culture for a figure who epitomized Brazil's dominance of the beautiful game. The government of President Jair Bolsonaro, who leaves office on Sunday, declared three days of mourning, and said in a statement that Pele was "a great citizen and patriot, raising the name of Brazil wherever he went." Bolsonaro's successor, President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, wrote on Twitter that "few Brazilians carried the name of our country as far as he did." French President Emmanuel Macron said Pele's legacy would live forever. "The game. The king. Eternity," Macron tweeted. Pele, whose given name was Edson Arantes do Nascimento, joined Santos in 1956 and turned the small coastal club into one of the most famous names in football. In addition to a host of regional and national titles, Pele won two Copa Libertadores, the South American equivalent of the Champions League, and two Intercontinental Cups, the annual tournament held between the best teams in Europe and South America. He took home three World Cup winner's medals, the first time as a 17-year-old in Sweden in 1958, the second in Chile four years later - even though he missed most of the tournament through injury - and the third in Mexico in 1970, when he led what is considered to be one of the greatest sides ever to play the game. He retired from Santos in 1974 but a year later made a surprise comeback by signing a lucrative deal to join the New York Cosmos in the then nascent North American Soccer League. R.I.P ⚽⚽⚽⚽🙏🙏🙏
  3. <A 670-HP Lancia Delta Integrale EV Will Tackle World Rallycross in 2022 With the FIA's WRX series going electric, now's the time to revive a true classic. Ahh, rallycross going electric. It feels like someone invents a new version of it every week, probably because rallycross sort of has the ideal format for cars with limited range. The races are just 6-9 minutes long, but it's also tough actually making electric cars you can rattle the absolute hell out of around a jump track while keeping the safety standards somewhere north of acceptable. And then there are the costs. The FIA World Rallycross championship is, after years of skirting the issue, finally taking the plunge next season. One of the entrants, French outfit GCK Motorsport, is bringing things back to the old school by using the 500-kilowatt, dual-motor electric powertrain and battery from Kreisel (the people who are also bringing you insane hydrofoil racing) and fitting it to a Lancia Delta Integrale. That car's a volatile legend of rallycross' past, as well as a six-time World Rally Championship title winner. GCK Although there's obviously gonna have to be a fair amount of screwing around with it, this really will have a Delta Integrale chassis, somewhere in its base. The Integrale wasn't the Group B Lancia–that was the completely haphazard Delta S4, a beast with, as you'd expect in rally, more horsepower than sense that could reportedly pull up to 800 hp in a final race. Instead, the Integrale was a Group A competitor that still won over everyone's hearts. But rallying and Lancia Deltas go together like me and standing by the side of the course getting a face full of gravel, so this is more than a welcome development in any case. GCK already made a restomod version of the Lancia Delta Integrale that looks mighty lovely zooming around a smooth circuit because it's a car that's shaped like the most satisfying box and it's got the handling of a modern EV. That's all nice and good and I definitely wouldn't be angry if someone offered to let me (or preferably Stef) hoon one round the Nordschleife. But it's not the roaring, angry, roughness of whatever makes people want to snout rallycross cars around dirt tracks like 670-horsepower truffle hunters. LANCIA The WRX series is very keen to make some, frankly, fairly wild claims about the cars accelerating faster than F1 (yes, for a short period and if the F1 car doesn't have ERS). To be honest, when you're as obscure as rallycross has ended up these days, you can pretty much say absolutely anything and it'll either please all 15 incredibly passionate Estonians following the championship or everyone will just ignore it, anyway. For sure, at least, WRX has a decent grid put together for next year with 14 entrants to the 2022 title. And y'know, 671 horsepower and 880 newton-meters of torque in cars this size is going to be rude and fun as hell whatever you do with it. It took less than that to impress Ken Block, after all. At the very least, this is a more dignified progression of the Delta into the future than what Lancia actually did with it, which was to take on a very 2021 process way back in 2009 and turn what used to be the symbol of manic, gutsy handling into a completely vile crossover it hurts to look at. Please don't bring this one back as electric, Stellantis—you're on watch. LANCIA>
  4. came across the story of this guy recenlty... very amazed by his "achievements" 🤣 he played for 13 seasons, some years at big Brazilian and Mexican clubs, without kicking a ball and always used the same reasons to siam playing lol the most recent football scam I can remember was the infamous Ali Dia, who faked Southampton to sign him lol

  7. My kids exams will finish early, so I was thinking of popping over to Port Dickson for a 2D1N trip. http://www.legendiwh.com.my/location.htm I was recommended the pool villa at the above resort, and as usual, there's a fair mix of "fabulous" and "won't go back again" reviews. Anyway, I'm not about to be detracted. 3 hours in and 3 hours back, but if I go early, I'll have the better part of 2 days for loafing at the private pool and enjoying the facilities. Any f/r on this resort?

  9. Or maybe legendary haolian? I find him one of the more colourful characters that make Olympics fun to watch. On one hand he can self declare legend, strike that silly pose and even tell his teammate beforehand he will win. But on the other hand he is really fast. That relay match looked like a close call until Bolt ran the final stretch. So what do you think of the currently fastest man on Earth? I also find that USA cannot accept losing. If others win, there must be some cheating involved. Only good thing I can say is they are not "racist" in choosing who to call a cheater. Asian or Black all kena labelled cheater equally from them.
  10. Hi Anyone been to this place and heard that it's so popular the coming Vesak Holiday is fully booked. Perhaps, anybody can tips off any sources of securing a room.

  14. Hi bros, planning a trip up to P.D. IWH this end of October 28th to 30th for 2 nights. Relac relac trip. First time driving up north so wondering if any experienced bros can guide a newbie or interested in going around those dates too? Understand it's around 300km so would take 3-5 hours depending on breaks and jams. Would be travelling at speed limit to avoid unplesant encounters. Also concerned about food as research mostly states that availibility of restaurants and eateries around there are a drive away and limited room service hours. So should I stock up snacks and tidbits along the way? For the IWH, any advice for preference? Understand that some of the 'private' pools are facing each other so are there certain rooms where the pool is enclosed or open but private? Thanks in advance for any advice given. Cheers!

  19. Today I had the privilege of meeting Mr Valentino Balboni, the man that has driven every single Lamborghini model produced since 1968, including two cars that held the record for the World's Fastest Production Car. He has driven the car that opened the Monaco Grand Prix (with Prince Ranier and Princees Grace behind the wheel), a car that he personally fitted the engine to. He has also driven a V12 engined SUV, and has his own Lamborghini named after him. It is a humbling experience to meet such a man that is truely a part of motoring history, and a very very rare opportunity. (sorry, tomorrow is family day, I won't be back to post again till monday)
