Yesterday, my Jap car alternator broke down. Car suddenly experience loss of power and electric steering became heavy. Lucky was near my usual regular workshop. Mechanic told me alternator gone. Quoted me 8-900 for original Jap alternator, 600+ for taiwan OEM, 3-400 for recon set. I decided to call the various stockists to check price for original Jap alternator for my Jap car model. Call three of them. 1st quoted S$580, 2nd quoted S$800 n 3rd quoted S$800 but no stock. I re-confirmed with the first and its definately original so I bought it from them. The question, why the big difference in price 580 to 800 between the stockists??? I tot all of them should be ard the same price thereabouts??? So next time to check with different stockist.

My friend has search the net for a 4 inch speakers to fit her BMW 320i without cutting big holes in her door panel. She said the Infinity 4022i or 4032CF seems to be the right size to just fit into the car, as indicated in overseas BMW car forums. http://www.dealtime.com/xPO-Infinity-REF4022I Where can she buy four of the speakers for her BMW? Who is selling this particular model in Singapore? Or die die have to oder thru the internet as a last resort? She went to a few audio shop and none of them sell this model in 4 inch size, 5.25inch seems to be more common. Anyone knows where to find this particualr model in SIngapore? THanks.

Hi Fellow bros, Anyone knows where I can find good spare parts shop for Proton? I checked our distributor list http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/LIST_OF_AU...537419/#2537419 but found it's not really updated. Many of the numbers are 7digit. Added a 6 prefix and the call is not correct. Trying to urgently buy a Ignition Distributor for a year 2000 Wira. Found in JB cost around RM500-600. But strangely, I managed to call 1 shop in SG and they quoted me $120? or so. So big diff. Thought Proton parts cheaper in JB? Need to buy it around 9am tomorrow coz I'm going to export it to east msia. My BIL hand carry it back. Any bros can advise? Thanks!

Hi all, My nephew in Malaysia has asked to check for him the price of the power steering set for his ride. He was quoted about RM4000 there. Does anyone know where in Singapore I could check for the price? BTW, his car is FIAT Tempra 1.6 MPI (1995). TIA.
