Jman888 Moderator October 28, 2016 Share October 28, 2016 Time tor TP/LTA to do their job. All PMD is not allowed on public roads and property. What has TP/LTA done so far? i mentioned before charge them $500 insurance premium upon purchasing of the bike. Any violation of rule get fine $1000, just have to catch a few to warn the other, no need full force of the TP on the road to catch everyone. ↡ Advertisement

inlinesix Hypersonic October 28, 2016 Share October 28, 2016 how to regulate ebike/scooter when they cannot even regulate normal bike, (simple rules like cycling on left side also cannot regulate liao lol) TP can't even regulate "Keep left unless overtaking". What can you expect somemore? apply to both lor There are strict rules on electric bicycle now that applies both to users and sellers. PMD is clearly NOT allowed on the road now. Has it been enforced?

Hallo, electric bicycle is allowed on the road. Only PMD including electric scooters are not allowed. Once accident, it is up to AG chamber whether to charge or not. NOT LTA. Once charge, up to court to decide the responsbility.

13177 Hypersonic October 28, 2016 Share October 28, 2016 (edited) 2 dead, 1 injured in accident involving 3 e-bikes and a container truck along West Coast Highway The Singapore Civil Defence Force deployed two ambulances to West Coast Highway at the junction of Pandan Crescent just before midnight yesterday. One casualty was declared dead at the scene; another died from critical injuries later on. The third casualty suffered leg injuries — presumably the rider with the least damaged bike. West Coast Highway is known for its abundant traffic of heavy vehicles, with lots of big trucks and trailers utilising the road near the southern shipping ports of Singapore. Though e-bikes are allowed to ply the roads, cyclists have to wear protective helmets and the bikes are only allowed to reach a maximum speed of 25 km/h.
