  1. Hi all, May urge every MCF members here to educate their friends, colleagues, kids, relatives, spouse, in-laws, etc when come to opening car doors. Kindly tell them to open slowly and not to hit their doors onto the cars parked beside them. This is really an act of being considerate and civilised, and such values should start from simple acts such as this. Many car owners suffers unnecessary dents, dings, scuffs, scratches, etc all because of inconsiderate people when opening their car doors. It is not difficult to open slowly and avoid banging their doors onto the car parked beside. If everyone can do this mindfully, our driving stress will cut down a notch because we know we have considerate drivers around us who will take care of our parking environment. Thanks and please spread the word.

  3. Will be heading in to KL this Saturday morning, crossing Tuas around 6.30am. I have always driven in one breath(plus toilet breaks of cos) all the way from SG to KL without taking breakfast stops along the way. However, because there are some "VIPs" in this trip, a stopover at Malacca(or maybe some other towns) is planned, preferably not too far off the NS Highway. That means exit NSH > stop > jiak > pee > continue trip. Any good restaurants serving timsum or local style foods in Malacca or towns to recco? Should be looking at reaching Malacca around 8.30 to 9 am. Food price is not an issue as prices there are always reasonable.
  4. Hi Guys, I have to drive up to Malacca tomorrow to attend a funeral. This is a totally unexpected trip and I have not driven in for the past 5 years. Can someone provide me with contact numbers for reliable breakdown/towing services please? Also the relevant charges if you know them. Thanks very much.
  5. Hi all, I am going to work in Middle East for few months and rent car for daily transportation, try to collect some Middle East driving style, can Singapore driving lisence be using there? many thanks
  6. Hi All, Pls check your battery condition prior to CNY. It is no fun to be stuck during CNY period where u are going to visit relatives and friends. Also for those who are very good in "calculation", it does not make sense for you to call for roadside assistance if you breakdown in the middle of nowhere, you will be charge higher on outside service on the battery replacement and if you are savvy enough, should you call for roadside assistance in 1st 2 days of CNY, you have to give an red packet as token of appreciation. You have till this weekend to check and have your battery replace. Good Luck and Happy and Prosperous Lunar Dragon New Year to All of You!!!!! cheers
