Vratenza Supersonic March 10, 2016 Share March 10, 2016 For whatever reason the spandex guy is on the right most lane, even if he had originally intended to turn right and maybe last minute he got his sai at the anus because of the starbucks latte he drank before he started riding.... He wanted to ride to the to the nearest jaam buun.... He should have just slowed down, turn his puny cerebralled head to check and hand signal before going straight. Most people will not fault him for that. ↡ Advertisement
Mercury1 Turbocharged March 10, 2016 Share March 10, 2016 I am not a lawyer, so I don't really know if what I interpret is correct or not. But RTA did state that all slow vehicles have to keep to the left. They just repeat the same thing in the section for bicycles. So I don't think it is illegal to use the right lane if a cyclist wants to turn right. Whether it is inconsiderate or not is another matter. Some might consider it inconsiderate and some won't. Vehicle to keep close to left-hand edge of roadway 5. â(1) Every vehicle which is moving at a slow rate of speed shall be driven as close to the left-hand side of the roadway as possible. (2) Every vehicle shall at all times be driven in such manner as not to obstruct vehicles moving at a faster speed. http://lumoshelmet.co/ Introduce this helmet to every cyclist you know. Lol. It has signal lights and brake lights. But got to wait till Sept to get it. The ones I know use park connectors mostly so don't cause any issues on the road. Thanks for the link didn't know such a product exist will mention to others
Nzy Twincharged March 11, 2016 Share March 11, 2016 Reckless in dictionary means: careless, thoughtless, incautious, Purposely means intentionally. So doing it on purpose is not thoughtless and being cautious? For whatever reason the spandex guy is on the right most lane, even if he had originally intended to turn right and maybe last minute he got his sai at the anus because of the starbucks latte he drank before he started riding.... He wanted to ride to the to the nearest jaam buun.... He should have just slowed down, turn his puny cerebralled head to check and hand signal before going straight. Most people will not fault him for that. I think cyclists need to learn how to use hand signals or get some sort of signal on their bicycles. Hardly see any cyclist signalling when they want to change lanes.
Beregond Supersonic March 11, 2016 Share March 11, 2016 I ran into a member of the Spandex group this morning, what kind of pissed me off was that he was cycling on a turn left lane but didn't make any indications if he was going straight or turning right. Had it been a motorcycle I would take it they would go right, but of course bicycles being king of the road I thought not to cut in front in case he wasn't going right. Anyway I honked him cause he kinda pissed me off by making me 2nd guess his intentions. Video no sound cause I cursed too I thought I overreacted a little so thought I post it up and see what you guys think? (Also I have no idea why is he on the right side of the road if not turning right??) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aauXxjnVy_Q&feature=youtu.be they not even suppose to be on the right side even if they want to turn right. unless I am mistaken. they have to find the nearest pedestrian crossing, and push the bike across. in any case, is proven, they are king now. they hit pedestrian , they win, they hit car they win. car hit them. they win also blast them with the horn is the next best thing we can do

Leinad8919 Turbocharged March 11, 2016 Share March 11, 2016 I met a cyclist and ask him for his particulars so that I can report him using my video. He did not give me. I asked if he thinks he is right, why not just give me his particulars. Then he fark me and ride away. A sure way to ruin your day bro. Anyway, you doesn't have the authority to take down his particulars....what do you expect

They are vulnerable commuters. cyclist hits pedestrian, both fall and injured, cyclist hits car, he falls and injured, car hit cyclist, he falls, injured and if severe, he died. blast them with horn, he panic, he falls and injured, if unfortunate gets run over, he died. Don't think any cyclist or any of us want the above. Just live & let live. inlinesix Hypersonic March 11, 2016 Share March 11, 2016 Yep you are right bro, I have absolutely no authority. It was a combination of naivety and optimism that prompted me to ask him about his particulars. However, I had wanted to achieve either 1 or the 2 below: 1) If he thinks he's right, he will give me his particulars and I will proceed to send video to TP; or 2) He didn't give me his particulars in this case, and he was indirectly acknowledging to me that he might be wrong, albeit with a "fark you and your car" parting shot. A bit more on this guy - I saw him rode across 4 lanes to the right-most lane at park connector pace (I reckon circa 15-20kmh max, I didn't have a speed gun so I might be wrong) without checking blind spot whilst at it, and no indication of lane switching with his hand. It was mayhem from lane 1 to 3. I don't think it was a very safe thing to do, notwithstanding the legality of this act. Did he turn right after that? As cyclist, i will stop at traffic light & shift myself to the correct lane to turn right. That's the safest way to turn right on such a wide road. As driver, i will hold my car horn until i song. After farking me, he rode to the side and made a call. What u suggested above is quite palatable to me at least. I hope more cyclists follow your way. It may be a one off incident; or the cyclist doesn't cherish his life as much....just like there are many reckless drivers or incident we come across on our roads.

Pedestrain crossing a traffic junction with green man on still have to watch for traffic on both sides while walking. Do not assume. Cyclist travelling on the road have to abide by traffic rules as well as road courtesy and sensibility. Motorist driving or riding on the road have to do like-wise. Green light in your favour does not mean you can ram a jay walker or an errant cyclist. Be it professional cyclist or hobbyists or weekend warriors, if you are not ready to take responsibility of your own safety as well as sensibility but simply depends on "legality" argument points (legal to cycle abreast, legal to cycle in bus lane, legal to make a right turn) and insisting on your "right of way", then I can only say Sorry when the law of natural selection comes knocking.
