    Fiat Bravo

I have recently noticed the increased presence of this small Italian family. Fiat brand was labelled unreliable but till date, after 2yrs of ownership, I beg to differ. I have waves of gesture on the road from ferocious Bravos & hot looking Puntos. Anyone booked a new Bravo despite the hike in COE? Hope to see more joining our family Ciao
  3. Ok ok, it's a little late for Halloween, but we thought we would still share with you this interesting video has been shared on 9gag.com, wherein somebody has fitted what looks to be a Fiat Bravo with a rather interesting car seat. Perhaps a closer shot of the prank... But here's the best part. It looks like it might actually be possible to hire this car for your trip to work! Top kudos to all our private-hire drivers out there putting in the extra effort to decorate their cars! Having trouble dealing with idiotic vandals at your carpark? Or are you the neighborhood serial prankster? This car seat might be ideal for you! And if you happen to see this car at your multi-storey, you have been warned! If only the maintenance bills on old Fiats was only half as frightening... Know of any creepy carparks that just give off the wrong vibe? or perhaps a have a car-related supernatural experience to share with us? Comment below! Check out the full video here. ----------------------------------------------- Or check out our own guide to creepy carparks across Singapore so you know where to avoid during those special months! -----------------------------------------------
  4. Hi all anyone has info on e servicing cost n maintenance of fiat bravo t-jet manual car compared to jap car? Is there any issue to look out for? Thinking of getting fiat bravo. All help is appreciated.
  5. i saw one on sgcarmart here looks tempting cause of the low end torque and fuel efficiency. anyone knows how is the reliability, maintenance costs etc? is there parf rebate on diesel cars, is it similar to normal car?
  6. I am driving a 2006 Toyota Vios and got this second hand. I've this for about 10 months and my gripes are: 1. No road presence 2. Pickup is slow and boring and lousy interior 3. Bread and butter car and car does not show any character 4. Not a fun car to drive 5. Noisy at high speed and pickup is slow..... Advantages: 1. Its an automatic 2. Fuel Consumption at 14km/litre 4. $4.3k dep per year I'm looking into changing my ride and have shortlisted Fiat Bravo 1.4 T-Jet. Looks like it has a better interior and I've to drive a stick. Cost wise, its about $2k more per year in terms of depreciation. Anyone have taken a look at these 2 Fiat 1.4 Bravo T-Jet? http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...945&DL=1034 http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...750&DL=1034 They were posted in November and so far, there've been no takers. Anyone knows the history of the cars? BTW, what would be the fuel consumption like for a 1.4 T-Jet?
  7. my car came with the orig 16" rims. look puny and want to up size to 17 or 18 inches rims. but seems hard to find. where to find?
  8. Warning: it's a long article but very well written. Afterall, all we ask for is a little respect and appreciation for the folks in green. Note, this thread is not about the competency of officers or specs so let's leave that out http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=387069094648913
  9. Switched from my Mk-2 Punto into a Bravo T-Jet. Was no sure at first, given so many choices in the price range. Tried the new Mitsu Lancer EX - didnt't make the cut. IMHO, hugely disappointing. The Civic was the next choice but it feels boring, even compared to my ex 1.3 Punto! The Civic interior is top notch though. Then called my Fiat salesman and he invited me to try the new Bravo. The NA Bravo was nothing to shout about but smooth and had the "Italian Sound"! Then he let me try the Bravo Turbo aka T-Jet. I was hooked man. Pure shiokness. Booked a black one on the spot(without my wife's knowledge) . Now 2500km I have no regrets at all. Next need do some mods and change from 16" to 17". The Original rim damn difficult to clean. Any bros here with same car. Need to share idea how to mod.

    A better Bravo

Fiat has announced details on its 2010 Bravo hatch, which has received a few minor cosmetic revisions for the model year. On the outside, the Bravo's upper and lower front grilles have been re-trimmed and are now offered either in black or chrome finish while the headlamps on all models are smoked. Furthermore, the mirrors and door handles are finished in the color as the body on all trim levels while Fiat added two new colors to the palette (a different shade of gray and a pear finish). A new set of available optional packages and refreshed designs, colors for the seat and door panel upholstery complete the list of changes. There has been no mention of any updates to the powertrains, so expect them to remain similar to the current offerings. The Bravo's sales has been lacklusture in the Singapore market thus far. Perhaps, some aggressive marketing efforts by TTS Eurocars would be required to raise the brand's awareness among motorists, just like what Audi, Volkswagen and Alfa Romeo have done in recent months. The revised Bravo came just in time to face off against newer models such as the Opel Astra, Ford Focus and Renault Megane. However, my opinion is that the minor cosmetic changes is insufficient to fend off the fresher competitions. A more powerful 1.4 T-jet engine for the automatic version would be on my wish list.
  16. Anyone here letting go of their used Bravo's 6-speeder gearknob? I'm intrested and if no, wher can I get and how much for a new one? Many thanks!
  17. http://www.sgcarmart.com/news/review.php?AID=44&PN=1 TTS' latest project is a re-chipped Bravo T-Jet to 185hp and 272Nm - it's quite nice, but I hope they do something to the hopelessly light steering and pedals :S Gave the Golf GT quite a scare...hehe Ignore the car info listed in the article below. It is not quite ready/correct yet. The car costs $2000 more than the standard T-Jet and comes with bigger rims/original body kit. Any feedback appreciated!
  18. Hi Guys, Want to get your feedback on the above two cars(overall, including engine performance); the remap Bravo 185hp v/s the Golf GTI 200hp. I drove both at different times, and the GTI seems more torquy while the Bravo seems more responsive(maybe because I was controlling the gear on the manual). The Bravo also looks classier, but the GTi looks more luxurious....
  19. http://www.sgcarmart.com/news/review.php?AID=3 Saw a number of good reviews on the Fiat Bravo T-Jet recently. Happily driving one... kekekeke Bravo bros, please fall in...
  20. i know there's quite a few Bravo posts lately....but this commercial looks impressive. can't imagine what power celebs can hold. but damn it, Fiat owns nearly all italian anyway, so they can get their superstars to endorse. see the link- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M27j_RuXV1M
  21. Wonder which recently launched hatchback would you choose, taking their slight different in prices into account. And did I miss out any great small cc hatchback?
  22. Today been to test drive both cars briefly. Below are my personal thoughts on the 2 cars. Exterior: Its something very subjective, but both cars have just what it takes to make me take a 2nd or 3rd or 4th ....look at them should I encounter any on the road. Interior: Both the Bravo's & 147's interior looks futuristic with very good fit & finish, instruments are very well laid out & designed for great ease of use, however, the 147's interior seems more sophisticated with all the sexy curves smartly planted within the car. The red speedometers & illuminators the 147 is simply wicked The drive: Road holding around corners is especially good on both cars, however, the Alfa 147 still feels moreplanted during aggresive cornering. Perhaps it might partly be due to the rims. The bravo is running on stock 16" steel rims as opposed to the 147's 17" sports rims. One thing I like particularly about the Bravo is the small turning radius. Perfect car for doing illegal U-turns The steering on the Bravo somehow feels lighter than the 147, even at speed . This might not be a good idea if you are those that likes to break the legal speed limit along NS highway. However, parking with the Bravo is simply Coming to road noise, this is where the Bravo really excels. The cabin is very well insulated against the road & engine noise. While driving at more civil speeds (or RPM The moment you slam on the pedal from 2500RPM onwards, the car will just shoot off with the engine pulling very lustily punctuated by a sweet engine note that is very similar to the 147, except it is not as bassy and before you know it, the engine RPM is already knocking off the rev limiter at 6000rpm ...a little too soon compared to the 147. Nevertheless, both the 147 and Bravo have very beefy and linear torque from 3000 to the redline range. Although so much has been said about how good the Selespeed is as it is being used in the F1 cars, I still prefer the good 'ol manual system found the Bravo (its 6 Speed!). Probably, I'm not very used to the paddle shifting on the 147 whereby it will take slightly under 1 second for responding to each tap with a slight jerk. Verdict: On paper, the performance specs for the Bravo looks better than the 147 as its max torque comes in at under 2500 RPM! However, as all the Alfistis know...The sting of the "serpent" is very deadly My heart will say "Give me an Alfa". My wallet would pull me back to reality and point towards the Bravo. Though I'd choose the 147 anytime over the Bravo, but it does not mean Bravo is inferior. Its just that the andrenaline sucker side of me will prefer the rough, deep & ecstatic note of the engine coupled with the wild handling of the 147. Perhaps, if I'm as blessed as some of the forumers here with a 6 figure annual salary, I'd get the very comfortable, executive & classy looking Bravo for commuting on the weekdays, blowing off pesky taxi drivers with the massive torque on tap, and the 147 for some weekend fun
  23. hi guys.. its me yet again.. as usual, its rented.. just to say a few words about it and post some pics i've taken which turned out quite bad.. anyways, enjoy n feel free to comment. will post some pics first n i'll talk about the car after that..
