  1. 2024 MG3 hybrid. Combined output at 192bhp. Petrol engine itself generates 105bhp. 0-100kmh in 8.0sec. Hmm..under COE classification, I wonder it falls under CAT A or CAT B. https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/mg/mg3/362380/new-mg3-hopes-disrupt-renault-clio-and-vauxhall-corsas-supermini-dominance
  2. Another new Paris Motor Show launch from Hyundai-Kia, this time the 3rd-generation Hyundai i30. Like the Kia Rio, the 2nd-generation i30 was only sold locally for a few months before Komoco pulled the plug and brought in the Accent instead, which I think is a pity. The interior looks particularly pleasing, taking cues from their Ioniq hybrid. Hope this gets brought in to compete with VW Golf and Opel's latest Astra. Source: https://www.netcarshow.com/hyundai/2017-i30/ Launched in Korea as well, engine choices includes 140PS 1.4-litre GDI Turbo, 204PS 1.6-litre GDI Turbo and 136PS 1.6-litre diesel. http://www.hyundai.com/kr/showroom.do?carCd1=RD008
  3. Mitsubhi just launch another budget car From review, its another plastic car and engine should be the same as attrage. Price only $2k higher than attrage
  4. TL;DR – A Honda Fit turns right onto oncoming traffic and casually makes an illegal U-turn straight after. It’s not every day you get to see a small hatchback like a Honda Fit make a super-wide U-turn. How wide, you ask? Like driving against oncoming traffic before making an illegal U-turn kind of wide. Watch the 31-second video to find out what I mean. What happened It all begins at a discretionary right turn at a cross junction, location unidentifiable (if you know where this is, do let me know in the comments section below). A Honda Fit makes the turn but accidentally turns into oncoming traffic. While most drivers would hit that panic button at this point, this Fit driver calmly makes an illegal U-turn, cool as a cucumber. A very expensive u-turn As noted in the caption of the post in Roads.SG's Facebook page: But there are some other considerations as well: Driving without due care or reasonable consideration for other road users – 9 demerit points and $300 fine Reckless or dangerous driving – 24 demerit points and prosecution in court Personally, it feels like an accident, and the driver made a calm and composed decision to rectify the mistake as soon as it was safe to do so. But as always, let’s see what netizens think. Online Chatter Hmm. Doesn’t seem like it though. That's quite funny. Is this comment targeted at the driver, or the comments flaming the driver? I'm confused. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!

  6. Heard that this model will be launching in 2016. Looks like Qashqai but smaller version, the exterior and interior looks pretty cool. Should be made in UK too like QQ. I estimate for price for this model should be in between note and QQ, and Abt the price of Jazz ba. Anyone interested in this model too? http://m.sgcarmart.com/articles/articleinfo.php?CT=n&AID=10400 Pic of Pulsar
  7. basically, a re-skinned MB A-/GLA-Class...
  8. Do you prefer Toyota Corolla 1.8 Hybrid Sedan or Toyota Corolla 1.8 Hybrid Hatchback?
  9. Honda's a genius in churning out state-of-the-art small cars. Here's why. The 2014 Honda Jazz is 4cm shorter but it offers 138 liters more cabin-space volume and nearly 13cm of extra rear legroom - compared to the predecessor. Here's how Honda engineers eked out extra room in a shorter car. For starters, Jazz's wheelbase has been stretched further apart by 3cm allowing its rear seat bench to move back outwardly by 7.6cm. Next, engineers made the centrally-mounted fuel tank located beneath the front seats thinner liberating more space for passengers but retains the same liter-volume as previous models. Plus, the new Jazz could be served in a hedonic shade of lemonade yellow to go with its packaging.
  10. The entry point into BMW's lineup is now front-wheel drive. So the new car may have lost the old one's unique selling point, but is the new one still everything you'd expect from the 'Ultimate Driving Machine'? Of course, the drive layout isn't the only thing that has courted controversy with the new 1 Series, watch to see what our testers think about the new car's looks! There's now of course, 381 litres of boot space thanks to the new drive layout, but it looks like there still isn't enough depth to pass our auntie trolley test! And there is also increased space in the rear, but is it enough for three? Can you guess what Jon's pet peeve about this car is from this picture? Watch the full video to find out what the two think about the baby Beemer!

  12. BMW's all new 1 Series hatchback has been shot in action many times by spy photographers and they can now reveal how it looks like inside. This is the first 1 Series to use a front-wheel drive platform and from the photos shown here, the car seems to be M135i xDrive with its souped-up body kit and blue brake callipers. Thanks to Carscoops, we can now see how the car looks inside too. Drawing inspiration from the latest 3 Series, the dashboard is clearly driver-focused and features a digital instrument cluster. It remains to be seen whether variants lower down in the range might be equipped with an analogue instrument cluster instead. Unfortunately we can't yet tell the switch to a front-wheel/all-wheel drive drivetrain has given the car more interior space than its predecessor. Hopefully, the new entry-level BMW will get a larger boot space too. The all new BMW 1 Series is expected to be launched later this year, likely at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.

  14. New Renault Clio 2019 unveiled with stunning new interior ahead of official launchhttps://www.express.co.uk/life-style/cars/1079285/New-Renault-Clio-2019-launch-interior-car RENAULT has unveiled the interior of the all-new Clio - Here’s what’s changed in the radical new update.Renault has unveiled the all-new Clio hatchback which has received a number of updates an upgrades. Most notably among the changes is the awesome revamped interior which is a vast improvement compared to previous generations. Immediately the vehicle looks more high-end and premiums due to the new refined interior layout with obvious improvements in the technology, seating, and overall design. At the centre of the dashboard is the Smart Cockpit, the 9.3-inch multimedia screen (twice as large as the 7-inch version) is the biggest ever on a Renault model. It is a vertical screen and is more contemporary than some of the integrated units in its rivals. This central screen comprises the multimedia, navigation and infotainment features. Renault has also apparently used more premium soft-touch materials on the redesigned dashboard which has been reshaped to give the impression of more space and width in the Clio. The centre console is also higher and features a smaller gear lever all of which, in conjunction with the newly redesigned seats is for ergonomics. There is also a myriad of customisation options which allows the vehicle to be specified in a number of different colours to match the exterior. While the interior has been extensively updated the exterior has been left relatively unchanged. It is a minor evolutionary upgrade with tiny alterations to the grille and bumper. The body has been lowered by up to 30 mm for better aerodynamics and extra athleticism and the car can be specified with 17-inch wheels (depending on version). Other added details include the shark fin antenna, the 100 per cent LED lights, the flush tailgate, and the chrome-plated side-window surrounds. Two new exterior body colours are available now which are Valencia Orange and Celadon Blue, which join another eight body colours and three exterior customisation packs. Clio will make its official public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

  19. Do you like the All-new Kia Rio Hatchback??
  20. So for the last 2 weeks in a battle to select one HB for missus Citroen C4 SX. Decided to go for a new one new as it made more sense as the depreciation is no different from used one. Below are my personal FR where most are conti based made choices with budget below 120k: 1.Opel a. Astra K: Good looking and with most features under 100k but alas, no more selling. Would have want to choose this. b. Crossland: Too cartoon like. Next........ 2.Audi a. A3: Looks handsome but most pricey at 120k. Though FL but profile does look a bit dated. 3. VW a. Golf: The entry golf is just below 100k but features are rather pathetic. Halogen lights and no keyless start. 4.Nissan a. Note: Made in Jap but whole car looks budget and from the 80s. 4. Hyudai a. i30: Looks good with fresh design inside out. But lacked the conti feels although its czech made. 5. Honda a. Fit/jazz: Looks and feels much better then Note and both cars rear legroom is generous. Its an understatement to say its big. 6. Mini a. One: Impressive build quality and cutest of them all with a BMW 3 cylinder 1.5L unit. Drive is good and the handling is impressive that points to everywhere you wanna to. Ride a bit jittery probably because of short wheelbase 7. Seat a. Leon/ibiza/ Ateza: None with build quality that impressed me. 8. Skoda: a. Rapid: As above of Seat. 9. Used (fairly new) wowo V40 a. could not stand the ah pek style steering wheel. Next...... 10. Infinity Q30. almost want to go showroon but was a diesel unit and she travels too little for it. Next.... 11. Pugeot a. 308/2008: rear legroom small and uncomfy. No discount or promotion. What would be your choice and we have decided it, more like i decided for her.

  24. Hot on the heels of new Verna (Accent), here is the brand new Kia Rio to be officially unveiled at Paris Motor Show next month. Think it looks more grown up than current Rio hatchback (which was on sale for a short period of time locally). Curious to see how the 4-door saloon model will turn out to look like. Hope to see C&C bring in both 4 and 5-door model when it eventually arrives here. Source: https://www.netcarshow.com/kia/2017-rio/
