  2. New Renault Clio 2019 unveiled with stunning new interior ahead of official launchhttps://www.express.co.uk/life-style/cars/1079285/New-Renault-Clio-2019-launch-interior-car RENAULT has unveiled the interior of the all-new Clio - Here’s what’s changed in the radical new update.Renault has unveiled the all-new Clio hatchback which has received a number of updates an upgrades. Most notably among the changes is the awesome revamped interior which is a vast improvement compared to previous generations. Immediately the vehicle looks more high-end and premiums due to the new refined interior layout with obvious improvements in the technology, seating, and overall design. At the centre of the dashboard is the Smart Cockpit, the 9.3-inch multimedia screen (twice as large as the 7-inch version) is the biggest ever on a Renault model. It is a vertical screen and is more contemporary than some of the integrated units in its rivals. This central screen comprises the multimedia, navigation and infotainment features. Renault has also apparently used more premium soft-touch materials on the redesigned dashboard which has been reshaped to give the impression of more space and width in the Clio. The centre console is also higher and features a smaller gear lever all of which, in conjunction with the newly redesigned seats is for ergonomics. There is also a myriad of customisation options which allows the vehicle to be specified in a number of different colours to match the exterior. While the interior has been extensively updated the exterior has been left relatively unchanged. It is a minor evolutionary upgrade with tiny alterations to the grille and bumper. The body has been lowered by up to 30 mm for better aerodynamics and extra athleticism and the car can be specified with 17-inch wheels (depending on version). Other added details include the shark fin antenna, the 100 per cent LED lights, the flush tailgate, and the chrome-plated side-window surrounds. Two new exterior body colours are available now which are Valencia Orange and Celadon Blue, which join another eight body colours and three exterior customisation packs. Clio will make its official public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
  3. Third AMG GT Roadster variant sits between the current GT and GT C, with 0-62mph taking 3.8 secondshttp://www.autoexpress.co.uk/mercedes/amg-gt/103486/new-mercedes-amg-gt-s-roadster-unveiled https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sT73b5jQwI The new Mercedes-AMG GT S Roadster has been revealed. It’s the third variant to join Affalterbach’s drop-top sports car lineup, and it sits between the current GT and GT C in terms of performance and price. Under the bonnet sits the same ‘hot vee’ eight-cylinder twin-turbo used in the rest of the AMG GT range - and indeed almost every other current 63-monikered AMG. An output of 515bhp places the GT S between the standard 469hp GT and the GT C’s 549hp. The 670Nm peak torque also sits between the other two - 10Nm below the GT C but 40Nm above the GT. As a result, the GT S covers the 0-62mph dash in 3.8 seconds en route to a top speed of 191mph. Similarly, the chassis spec sits between the two current Roadster incumbents. The GT S features an electrically-controlled limited slip differential and adaptive damping - neither of which are fitted to the standard GT Roadster - while the wheels measure 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear. They house composite brake discs that measure 390mm at the front and 360mm at the back. Drivers who wish to focus the driving experience further can upgrade to the AMG Dynamic Plus package. Stiffer suspension, active engine and transmission mounts and a retuned steering setup aim to deliver a sharper drive, while inside the pack adds an alcantara-effect steering wheel and yellow details in the dials. Four-wheel steering is also an option; the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction to the fronts at low speeds to aid manoeuvrability, but turn in the same direction at higher speeds to boost stability. First deliveries of the GT S are due in July this year, and although Mercedes is yet to confirm prices, the current AMG GT pricing structure suggests customers should expect to pay around £124,700.

  6. http://www.worldcarfans.com/114020669816/2015-bmw-x3-unveiled-with-revised-styling--new-diesel 2014 BMW X3 facelift Updated, inside & out BMW has officially unveiled the 2015 X3, following a leak earlier today. Modestly revised, the facelifted model is distinguished by new bumpers, a revised grille and restyled headlights. The crossover also gains several new exterior colors, redesigned mirrors and restyled alloy wheels. If the standard model isn't sporty enough, the xLine package adds "simulated" underbody guards, metallic trim and exclusive 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels. Customers can also order an M Sport package which includes an aerodynamic body kit, shadow line trim and 18- to 20-inch alloy wheels. The package also has sport seats, an anthracite roof liner and a sport-tuned suspension. Interior changes are limited but include revised upholstery, updated trim and new cup holders. There's also gloss black accents, an upgraded infotainment system and an iDrive controller with an integrated touchpad. The model can also be equipped with a "Smart Opener" that opens the tailgate when put your foot under the rear bumper. Under the hood, there's a new generation of 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engines. As a result, the X3 xDrive20d now produces 190 HP (140 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 6 HP (5 kW) and 20 Nm (15 lb-ft). The extra oomph enables the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. There's also an eco-friendly X3 sDrive18d which has low rolling resistance tires, rear-wheel drive and a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine that develops 150 HP (110 kW) and 360 Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the model to average 5.0 L/100km (47 mpg US / 56.4 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 131 g/km.
  7. Elderly residents in Bukit Merah View can now stroll around with greater ease of mind due to enhanced road safety measures. The estate is the first of five to benefit from the Land Transport Authority's Silver Zone programme, which aims to make roads safer for elderly pedestrians. Features like enlarged centre dividers that allow for two-stage crossing are introduced. The speed limit in such zones has also been reduced to 40kmh wherever possible. Cars entering Silver Zones will see signs informing them of such zones, along with three rumble strips on the road to inform motorists to slow down. Other traffic features aimed at slowing down traffic, like chicanes - gentle curves along sections of roads - and lanes with reduced width have also been installed to ensure that cars do not speed along roads with high senior use. Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Health Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim said at the launch event on Saturday that seniors are "over-represented" in traffic accidents, and that the situation must be improved. He noted that 40 per cent of all pedestrian fatalities and 20 per cent of pedestrian injuries involved seniors. Dr Faishal, however, cautioned that road safety does not end with these silver zones and that road safety is the "shared responsibility" of all road users. The Silver Zones in Jurong West, Yishun and Bedok will be completed by the first quarter of 2015, and Marine Parade by first quarter of 2016. The five estates were chosen for their high senior population and relatively higher accident rates involving seniors. 9. http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2011/09/hyund...-its-focus.html The upcoming 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show will host the world premiere of Hyundai's new generation i30 C-segment hatchback that will go against the likes of the Volkswagen Golf and Renault Megane in Europe. The compact-sized i30 brings a fresh design with a more unique feel than the outgoing model of the same name, which in the States, is offered only in station wagon form as the Elantra Touring. The exterior styling follows the Fluidic Sculpture design language of the recently launched i40 series (available in both sedan and station wagon formats) with a large hexagonal front grille, wraparound headlamps, a bulging belt line and pronounced front wheel arches. The interior design is also modeled after Hyundai's latest creations such as the Veloster featuring a pair of deep-set gauges and a prominent center console. The new i30 will launch as a five-door hatchback with a choice of fuel-efficient four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Looks Swee! Maybe next car change back Hyundai lol...
