Boss of Kaki Bukit garage, 60, arrested after allegedly hitting customer's head with hammerA 60-year-old man was arrested after a dispute involving him and a customer broke out in a car garage at 1 Kaki Bukit Avenue 6 on Sep 27. Responding to a Stomp query, the police said that they received a call for assistance at 3.49pm that day. "A 60-year-old man was subsequently arrested for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means and criminal intimidation," added a police spokesman. A video of the incident that was posted on Facebook last Thursday (Oct 4) shows the two men in an altercation. The video shows both guys standing in front of a Toyota, whose front bonnet was held open by the older guy in a blue shirt. He is believed to be the boss of the car garage. He is seen suddenly letting go of the bonnet, causing it to slam on the younger's guy hands. The pair then started getting into a fight, with the older man waving a hammer in his hand. They also started pushing each other around The older man can be seen wielding his hammer about. On the other hand, the younger guy started shouting, "Come on!" multiple times with his arms outstretched. He also used his chest to repeatedly shove his opponent, despite the latter pushing him away. Even though other people at the scene tried to intervene, the two of them continued tussling. Lianhe Wanbao contacted the bespectacled man in the video, whom they identified as 43-year-old Mr Liu. He said that he had previously recommended the garage to a car driver that was involved in an accident. However, the two parties cancelled their collaboration as they could not come to an agreement about the commission. Prior to the fight, Mr Liu had gotten into an accident and sent his car to the garage. He said that the car garage's boss, however, detained his car and asked him to return his commission of $8,000 instead. Mr Liu believes that the boss was still upset with him for not bringing in business for the garage following the cancelled collaboration. He added: "That day, I went to the garage with a friend to collect my car. The boss insisted that I return the money, even threatening to hit my car with a hammer if I did not do so. "During our argument, he used the wooden end of the hammer to hit me on the back of my head. I called the police afterwards. "Because my head was in pain from being hit, I went to Sengkang Community Hospital, where I was hospitalised and placed under observation for one day." When contacted by Wanbao, the car garage's boss emphasised that he had no intention of injuring the other party. According to him, he went to see a doctor after being shoved over 10 times by Mr Liu and had to rest for three days. He also said that he had to rush to Hong Kong on Saturday (Oct 6) and would go to the police station to assist in investigations upon returning on Thursday (Oct 11). Police investigations are ongoing

Hi, I have a slight situation.. I just change my tires.. 215/50/17. Stock was at 205/55/16.. I know I Should go for 215/45/17 but due to comfort.. I just bit the bullet.. Now suffering hitting the fender when I go over uneven road or bumps.. However It's only right side.. left is totally fine.. Front is less than 1 finger. Rear is around 2 finger.. Using a sport spring and stock suspension.. What Should I do? changing Tyre is out of the question.. Should I change back to stock spring or upgrade to adjustable?

A 34-year-old male driver crashed his car into a total of nine vehicles at two different locations, in addition to causing a pedestrian to be hurt. The first hit-and-run incident happened at the carpark of Block 742, Bedok Reservoir Road yesterday morning (Feb 5). At about 9.30am, he had turned into the carpark and was making a right turn when he hit a car and then went on to crash into seven more. A 53-year-old pedestrian was sandwiched between two of the cars and was sent to Changi General Hospital. Yet the driver did not stop and instead fled the scene. 15 minutes later, police caught up with him, after he crashed into the rear of a lorry at Tampines Avenue 10. He can be fined up to $1,000 or jailed for three months for failing to stop after an accident, as well as removing a vehicle from the scene. Failing to render assistance also carries a fine of up to $3,000 and a year in jail.

Was parking just now in an open-air carpark and reversing butt in and i somehow underestimated the distance between my exhaust pipe and the parking concrete kerb behind. Needless to say, the exhaust hit the kerb and it was quite loud the sound which i could even hear from inside the car. Any damage that i may have done to the poor exhaust? (other than it could be probably be out of shape or position a little bit if there's even such a thing?)

Mr Brown, a father of two grown-up sons and already a grandfather, was an information technology (IT) teacher in the primary section of the SAS. He taught children in grades 1 and 2 and also kindergarten children, besides working with teachers on incorporating IT into their teaching. One of the school's longest-serving teachers, he joined SAS in 1995. I am not sure if he has sold it but I have seen this young bastarx driving like s--t when we met at PIE. No signal, tailgating, speeding at over 130km/hour and weaving in and out of traffic. Even showed my friend a middle finger once when my friend was travelling at 70km/hour on left most lane in Bukit Batok and he think my friend is wasting his time. Losers like this boy Jesmond Ching should be jailed. His father worse, like father like son. Father is a storeman cum driver and yet behave like a millionaire Ok where will his car be parked from now on? Lets check it out. Should not be in Bukit Batok.

Over the weekend, we got our first look at official images of the new Audi RS5 when a brochure leaked out onto the interwebs, but it didn't contain any technical details of the latest product from Quattro GmbH. Thankfully, our friends in Ingolstadt have seen fit to drop that information on us this morning, and as we suspected, they have opted to go with an upgraded version of the engine that served so well in the late RS4. The 4.2-liter V8 remains naturally aspirated, but its breathing has been improved to bring the maximum output up to 450 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. The power peak comes up at 8,250 rpm, just shy of the 8,300 rpm redline, and maximum torque is delivered throughout the range between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. The RS5 comes out the factory with the ability to accelerate to 62 miles per hour in 4.6 seconds on the way to a governed top speed of 155 mph. Owners that wish to exceed that speed can have the governor unlocked, enabling a terminal velocity of 174 mph. As usual with higher performance Audi models, Quattro all-wheel-drive is the order of the day for power distribution. However, unlike other recent applications that have used a Torsen center differential, the RS5 features the first use of a new crown gear differential with electronically controlled clutch pack. The torque split can be varied from the nominal 40:60 front-to-rear to as much as 70 percent front or 85 percent rear. An optional active torque vectoring rear differential is also available to further improve the RS5's handling. The only available gearbox in the RS5 is a new seven-speed S-Tronic dual clutch transmission (DCT). Hopefully now that Audi has a high-output DCT, we'll also see it replace the dreadful R-Tronic unit in the R8 soon. I wonder if anyone out there got burned terribly with their investment products or holding on to stocks and see them keep sinking deeper and deeper like no end. I got a friend who lost $30,000 actual lost (not paper lost) because he bought the T-bond on the Lehman bank. The vote include paper lost, if you know what this mean (e.g. stock price falling below your purchase value but have not sold yet).

SINGAPORE may slide into a recession as slowing global economic growth undermines demand for the city-state's exports, the finance minister said. A recession - typically two consecutive quarters of economic contraction - 'cannot be ruled out,' Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam said through a spokesman in an emailed response to an Associated Press inquiry. 'We had to expect slower growth than previously expected, given the downward adjustments in the US, Europe and even parts of Asia compared to expectations just 3 months ago,' Mr Shanmugaratnam said. Singapore's economy grew 2.1 per cent in the second quarter compared to the same quarter a year earlier, down from 6.9 percent growth in the first quarter. Last month it lowered its growth forecast for this year to between 4 per cent and 5 per cent. Mr Shanmugaratnam said it was too early to revise the forecast again 'given the extreme fluidity of developments in the US currently.' Earlier on Monday, Singapore's trade minister Lim Hng Kiang also painted a gloomy picture on Singapore's economiy, saying that economic growth may dip below 4 per cent this year, even as global financial markets try to turn the corner. 'The financial difficulties in the US has led to de-leveraging and credit contractions, therefore slowing global growth,' said the Minister, who was speaking to the media on the sidelines of the Latin Asia Business Forum 2008. 'That means more difficult export markets for Singapore companies and for our economy...later this year and going into next year.' Mr Lim added that he expects economic growth to be 'closer to 4 per cent, maybe even a bit below 4 per cent, depending on how the financial crisis pans out over the next few weeks and months'. Singapore's non-oil exports, which account for about 70 per cent of gross domestic product, have been hit hard by the recent economic slowdown in developed countries. Non-oil exports, led by electronic goods and pharmaceuticals, tumbled 14 per cent in August from the same month a year earlier and 5.8 per cent in July. Help! My rear right tyre's wall is cracked.. All 4s are about 30k mileage. And I really love the PPs. So what are my options now? Change both rear tyres to PP2? Will I be able to find PP? So buy just one to replace? Thanks. Will need to replace it tomorrow...if not too dangerous to drive on road

Went to my sister chalet at loyang for BBQ on Saturday. When reverse my car out from the chalet, too careless & never see clearly b4 I turn my steeling & hence my front left bumper hit the chalet side wall . As a result some paint drop off (area about 6cm long) & scratches as well yesterday tried to polish the affected area & only managed to remove some of the scratches. I oso use touch-up paint to cover up the area where the paint have came off. Now it look slightly better than b4, but the touch-up area surface not very smooth. So can I go and buy some sandpaper to sand the area to make it smoother.
