  1. We are planning for a 2 nite stay at Desaru in March. Heard that some are pretty rundown and cleanliness are very bad. Any recommendation for a nice and clean resort in Desaru with some seasports and go-kart and ATV? Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

  3. Wifey found a duck farm with resort facilities to visit for our annual road trip to MY. She likes duck but never came close to a real duck before. So we decided to visit this duck farm and Port Dickson. After contacting the farm, they requested for payment first before any reservation can be made. As they had MY Maybank account only, I sought the help of a fellow bro(@Mcf777) here. With his help, we managed to make a reservation at the farm. The day has arrived and we drove 600km up north to a town Terung, slightly above Ipoh. Entrance to the duck farm : Here, you can fully interact with the ducks. Feeding them from your hand or let them eat from the tray and pet them. These lucky ducks are for tourist entertainment. The unlucky ones are at the farm.

Any chalet on Pulau Ubin now?

Am thinking of bringing my 3yr old there to stay overnight for a fresh experience, but don't intend to pitch tent as my poor back doesn't allow me to sleep on cold hard uneven floor nowadays. There used to be a Celestial resort but they seemed to have ceased operations on those chalets again. Does anyone know who has taken over those chalets from them or they are just not operating anymore?
  5. Bro/sis, My neighbour (#08-126) upstair's toilet floor worn out and causes ceiling damage on neighbour downstair (#07-126). Because I live diagonally below (#07-124), I also kanna and worse, at my bed-room ceiling. Since the case has been logged with HDB, I'll prefer to let them settle. After near 2 months, my ceiling gets from bad to worse and now worse with recent heavy rain. HDB told me that because #08-126 disputed on repair cost and thus, can't repair. I don't want to get involved but I'm a victim. I'm planning for worse case scenario; if #08-126 continue not to repair and thus, my ceiling got badly damaged (concrete fell-out, furniture stained); can I sue the neighbour and claim property damage + legal fee on them? This is the last resort I want to take. TIA!

  7. Vincent Tan tries to revive casino plan in Berjaya Hills Resort, says report Published: 17 June 2014 | Updated: 17 June 2014 12:40 PM The Berjaya group wants to build a casino complex in Berjaya Hills Resort, Pahang. It had applied for a licence more than 10 years ago but it was rejected amid protests from some quarters. – Pic courtesy of Berjaya Hills Resort, June 17, 2014.As the debates rages on over Malaysia’s status as a secular state and the renewed interest in hudud, tycoon Tan Sri Vincent Tan wants to revive his plan to operate a casino at the Berjaya Hills Resort in Pahang. The Berjaya group founder said he hoped there would be no objections from any party as the casino complex would benefit Malaysia in terms of foreign exchange and economic spillovers. “Malaysians and foreigners are spending their money on gambling, hotels and food in Singapore, Macau, Cambodia, the Philippines and Las Vegas. I’m sure they would like to come here. We can expect hundreds of buses from Singapore here,” he told the New Straits today in an exclusive interview. Tan had applied for a licence to operate a casino in Berjaya Hills more than 10 years ago but it was rejected amid protests from some quarters. Berjaya Hills, which is just minutes away from the country’s only casino in Genting Highlands, currently has a permit to operate slot machines. Tan said he intended to invest RM3 billion initially in the casino to turn Berjaya Hillls into a world-class tourist destination and Malaysia’s biggest tourism development. ‎The complex, located near Genting Highlands, will include a gaming centre, indoor and outdoor theme parks, food outlets, a retail mall, hotels, a convention centre and holiday homes. Tan told the paper the casino would provide jobs for about 10,000 locals. “We will reapply for the licence. Malaysia should not stick to one operator. It should be shared with other operators as tourism developments can generate a lot of income for the country," Tan was quoted as saying. “South Korea, Japan and Taiwan are looking to give out licences to operate casinos as they realise the full potential of such developments. “We will market Berjaya Hills as a new casino destination globally. I have 4,600ha in Berjaya Hills and there is lot that can be done with such a licence,” he said. Tan’s plan to revive is his latest shot at a gambling licence. In 2010, Tan’s attempt to launch sports betting was aborted after Putrajaya, which had initially granted a betting licence to Ascot Sports, a company controlled by Tan, developed cold feet and withdrew the licence following stiff opposition. “By legalising sports betting… the government could earn annual revenue of up to RM3 billion through taxes,” Tan was quoted as saying by the English-language New Sunday Times newspaper. “Why are some politicians so against this?” Muslim groups have denounced gambling and three Pakatan Rakyat-controlled states have imposed a ban on legalised sports betting which they fear could cause debt problems for punters and other social woes. Unofficial estimates put the illegal sports betting market in Malaysia as being worth as much as RM20 billion a year. Malaysia bans its majority Muslims from gambling but allows betting at a casino operated by Genting Group, on the national lottery and on horse-racing. – June 17, 2014. - See more at: http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/vincent-tan-tries-to-revive-casino-plan-in-berjaya-hills-resort-says-paper#sthash.yvMObPma.dpuf

link: http://tanjungpiairesort.com/index.html Found this resort in Southern tip of JB. Searched MCF and no one mentioned about this resort. Welcome To TanjungPiaiResort.com "Tanjung Piai is a heaven for diverse species of flora and fauna which is located at the southernmost tip of Peninsula Malaysia. The resort offers a world of enchanting charms. Built on stilts, a reminiscent of old fishing village and surrounded by one of the largest mangrove swampland, home to long tailed mangrove monkeys, beady-eyed mudskippers, crab-eating macaques, land hermit crabs and fireflies. The sea cool breeze and the breathtaking view of the sea freighters will keep one mesmerized. It is also famous for being a hotspot for birdwatchers to visit during the migratory season which falls around March and September." SH AXN - Last Resort

Any bros watched this just now? For those haven't seen and intend to watch it later some how, be forewarned of what's about to be discussed A boomer going rogue? That's a super nightmare for any sitting US president and his merry men. Of course in this show it was portrayed that the sub was attacked after her CO & XO refused to carry out an authenticated order to launch nukes against Pakistan, which then led the officers and men on board to sail to an island paradise but with unfriendly folks to escape the hostile force/s. Oh did I mention that prior to being given order to launch the missiles they picked up a mysterious team of hard-nosed SEALs who apparently returned from a classified mission? The premier episode reminded me of a chilling sub movie Crimson Tide years back which I think like-minded bros would remember as well. Of course the story this time turned out to be something entirely different after the end of the 1st part. And launching a nuke against DC just to play chicken with 2 incoming Lancers (not Mitsubishis but made by Rockwell/Boeing hor [laugh] ) was the highlight of the show Well, it got me hooked and will definitely look forward to subsequent episodes. Oh did I also mention the gals are HOT???!!! [laugh]
