  1. Have you ever encountered one of the worst nightmares a driver could ever have? No, I'm not talking about cyclists or saman aunty... I mean, dashing pedestrians! You may think I am kidding, but I am not joking. One wrong move from them, and you could easily become a murderer. See this example here: 297064227_415562567214847_4853208197817188327_n.mp4 That was close. I'm sure we all gasped in shock seeing the lady step out of nowhere like that. In case you missed it, here are extra snapshots I compiled: Nothing there. Or so we thought. And a split second later: Boo! The nastiest shock of the cam car driver's life! Thank God the cam car driver did not collide with the jaywalking pedestrian. It didn't stop there, however. Here's the worst part - the pedestrian did not learn her lesson. She stubbornly attempted to dash out onto the unsuspecting incoming traffic yet again... My goodness, can you believe the sheer foolhardiness? The utter audacity. Instead of learning her lesson, she blatantly ignored what had almost transpired and decided to charge back in🤦‍♂️ Netizens weigh in Many commentators had some choice words to say. Yes, we too, are speechless. I am betting this isn't her first rodeo. Unpopular Opinion: The presence of the bus indirectly contributed to the near-miss accident, but you should always check your blind spots, pedestrian or driver! Yes, this person said what we were all thinking. SMH! Being mindful all day keeps the hospital bills away! For pedestrians, if you don't want to: 1) get a fright; and 2) be scolded online like this pedestrian did, always look left and right before you cross! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 2. what kind of parent is this?! Mother herself a lecturer and yet she is so irresponsible that she neglect the importance of Childcare Leaving her 2 year-old child in a car unattended. ============================================================================== Two-year-old girl in Malaysia dies after being left inside car for four hours PORT DICKSON - A two-year-old girl died after she was left inside a car by her mother. She was believed to have succumbed to heatstroke. Hasmah Masroh, 32, found her daughter, Nur Awfa Humaisha' Muhammad Ali Riduan, unconscious after she realised that she was still in the car at the Port Dickson Vocational College here. Port Dickson OCPD Supt Zainduin Ahmad said preliminary investigations revealed that the mother, who is a lecturer at the college, left the toddler in the car at the college's parking lot for four hours. "She only realised that her child was still in the car at around 1pm. When she rushed to the vehicle, the victim was already unconscious," he said. The mother then rushed her daughter to the Port Dickson health clinic but the victim was pronounced dead a short while later. Supt Zainudin said a post mortem would be conducted on the child to establish the cause of death. No arrests have been made. The case, he said, was being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act for child abuse. Offenders can be jailed up to 10 years and fined not more than RM20,000 (S$6,700) upon conviction. http://www.asiaone.com/malaysia/two-year-old-girl-malaysia-dies-after-being-left-inside-car-four-hours?xtor=EREC-16-4[Emarsys_Newsletter]-20180315&extid=6934d0cfb7b252f1ae9f0dbddf5ff88ca8637e77

  5. This hit and run Incident happened on 02/10/2018 at 9.30AM at parking lot. I parked my vehicle at parking lot. At 11.30AM I went to my vehicle and noticed there were scratches and dent, my vehicle was hit by another vehicle. I requested from the company near parking lot to view security camera and noticed this Sliver Van when he reversed his van to park at lot beside mine and he hit my vehicle. Despite he felt impact and came down to take a look. He left without leaving contact or details. I have the video and photo of this incident. I proceed to make a accident report online, and went down to Mazda to make accident report. After showing them the video which I saved the Mazda Claim executive said the evidence it wasn't strong. At 3pm the security guard saw the Van driver drove back his van and gave him my number asked him to call me back. The van driver called me as I answer he said with laughter and said he didn't know he bang my vehicle despite the video clearly shown he came down to look in front and behind of the vehicle and pick his colleague, drove off. He said he want a private settle which I disagree, I questioned how can he not know he bang my car when the video shown. Some more my car is less than 3 month old. I must report which he said ok. After that the claim executive asked me to request his vehicle insurance, I sms but he didn't reply. I called him and ask for his cooperation he had the guts to raise his voice at me "you wan report you report lah, ask for my details for what. My vehicle also no scratch. Don't know you report for what." I told him he bang my car till my car paint chipped off he still can say? At that point I was furious but did not want to argue anymore. According to the claim executive he said this 3rd party claim case is based on case by case basis and can drag for years plus my evidence is not strong, last resort will have to self claim. I'm not looking for sympathy or online shaming this farker but rather need people advise on this kind of situation how do you handle, thanks. The hit and run damage left on my vehicle

  7. Hi all, Long story short. Car was serviced 3 weeks ago by PI workshop, car broke down caused was brake was not calibrated and it was enagae all the time belive to be the whole 3 week Damage include Rotor, brake pump, clipped and brake pad need to be replaced. Please share if you have similar experience or what I should do. Would engaging STA to access be of any use. ( I guess this is last straw and burn all bridge.) Workshop sure will wiggle his way out but LPLL as the car warranty is still under his WS. PI 0 AD 1
  8. Under the TWM warranty scheme they are suppose to honor any warranty service right? I went there to day to get my steering wheel straighten cos my ride is only a month old and the steering wheel is not center. I had check all my tyre pressure ok. Not change any rim using stock rim. Not hit any kerb or anything. So I proceed to their service workshop they tell me they only do servicing not warranty repair. But I insist that according to the agreement on my warranty booklet they are under the panel of approve workshop should any issue with the car. Then they says can do but very troublesome cos they need to fax to the PI before any work is carried out and I need to park my car there for them to process the claim. Until my PI fax them back the comfirmation then they will start to work. They also direct me to Khang as they says Khang have a "closer relationship" with PIs so they can do first then claim later. Really piss off with them. Anyone of you here experience this kind of lousy services at Comfort Delgro? I will never patronise them again. Not even servicing will I let them do.
  9. Im not sure if this is the right section to post this , but on the way home i saw this black Bmw X3 license plate SKJ 7034, he actually allowed the children to stick their heads out of the sunroof while the car was moving. I find this highly dangerous as can you begin to imagine what might happen if there was a need to make a emergency braking. Bad parenting indeed

  11. You have been warned... From CNA: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1204768/1/.html Traffic Police maintain tough stance on irresponsible drivers By Hetty Musfirah | Posted: 31 May 2012 1956 hrs SINGAPORE: The Traffic Police said they have not let up on enforcement efforts to deter errant motorists. While addressing public concerns raised since the recent accidents at a junction in Bugis, the Traffic Police on Thursday said they are in the process of digitising their enforcement cameras. They are also reviewing the penalties for different traffic offences. The junction along Rochor Road and Victoria Street has come under the spotlight after two accidents took place there in the span of two weeks. One involved a foreigner who was driving a Ferrari. 12 witnesses have been interviewed. Footages from the Land Transport Authority's surveillance cameras and a video from the taxi driver who caught the accident have been seized for investigation. Tests on blood samples from the Ferrari driver who died are still being conducted to determine the presence of alcohol or other intoxicating substances. A coroner's inquiry will be held. Currently, there are no special regulations or additional tests for drivers of high performance cars. In the light of the accident, there have been concerns if there's a need for such drivers to be given a special licence. The Traffic Police said the focus should not be on the type of car. What's important is that drivers behave responsibly on the roads. There were also calls for the conversion process of driving licences for foreigners to be reviewed. The Traffic Police reiterated that foreign drivers only need to pass the basic theory test to convert their licences if they stay in Singapore for more than 12 months. As of end 2011, out of 369,637 foreign drivers with converted licences, only 0.1 per cent of them contributed to traffic accidents. The Traffic Police added that an update can be expected in the middle of next year on the ongoing review of the conversion framework for foreign drivers who ferry goods. Commanding Officer of the Traffic Police Patrolling Unit, Choy Chan Hoe, said: "The feedback that we have been getting is that the public will like the Traffic Police to step up enforcement, to be tough on the errant drivers. "I must emphasise that the Traffic Police have not let up on the enforcement effort, we are still maintaining a very tough stance against irresponsible drivers, especially those who commit serious moving violations, because all these accidents can cause potential fatal injury. "Motorists must bear in mind that there are no winners in any road traffic accident and they must always exercise due care and adopt safe driving habits on our roads." Enforcement cameras such as speed cameras and red-light cameras will also be digitised. The Traffic Police said the digitising process started last year and that by digitising, errant motorists will also get their summons faster. In just the first three months of this year, 5,400 motorists were caught for beating the red light - 800 more than the same period last year. - CNA/ck
  12. Be warned of Zen windows tinting at 282 macpherson rd, read on before u decide.Done up my front 3 pcs windows film at Zen abt 2 months ago, when done found green chemical stains on the dashboard due to removing of previous film, jimmy applied some oil for me to cover the stain, apparently, the cloth wasn't placed properly and resulted in lots of stains on dashboard.. After driving off for 1-2mins, my Aircon died.. No air coming out from the Aircon vent in the beginning, then follow by all Aircon control failed. Unable to turn on/off. Nothing on the control panel can be used.SMS the boss, jimmy abt what happen.. he told me to check and update him. After checking with workshop, the problem seems to be Aircon amplifier die.. (later diagnosed to be amplifier assembly and blower died), possibly some shorting occur due to water.Updated jimmy, but he told me to update him again, and throughout the whole saga, he mentioned a few times he'll check with his workshop people and update me, but never came back to me. When this happen, I got no Aircon, and an scheduled to drive up to KL with my family few days later. So no choice, took some leave and go around sourcing for parts, no new parts available in s'pore and order will take months, comb thru almost all the scrapyards and finally managed to find 1 pc, installed, control back to normal, but still no Aircon, so was advised to change the blower. Upon changing, everything back to normal. Then I drive up to KL the next day. Aircon died again, exactly same symptom happen when I reach KL at night. The Aircon lasted <24hrs.Was in M'sia for a week without Aircon and drove around during rainy season without Aircon.Stucked in heavy rain and super jam in malacca, wiping interior windows like crazy due to fogging.Upon return to S'pore, jimmy again told me to update him, and say will check and get back to me. But this time round I couldn't find any parts.Dun know what happen, no workshop in S'pore knows how to resolve. Replacing parts may not solve the problem. But no choice, still got to order from Japan and wait. Meanwhile really dun know what happen, so decided to sell car, without Aircon, can only sell to dealer at a lower price. Search around for car and finally bought one. Dealer agree to let me take car first while waiting for parts, at that time, after much chasing and pleading, Japan help to rushed the parts, and dealer had to wait another 2-3weeks for the parts to come. Finally, amplifier arrived at early jan as promised. Installed for dealer and true enough, blower also need replacement. And during dekitting of my car, found that there a device with a cable shield with little bit of water dripping out from the shield, the shield is open ended on both ends, that device's connector when unplugged had some dried water stain. With all these, jimmy still say we can settle happily. But he refused to make any proposal. The total monetary damage is 1.2k, so I proposed that he pay me 300 and do a set of windows film for me since cost is low to him. He insisted that he'll only settle for 300. Fine, discussion fell thru and I dub want a cent from him. I'd rather post my case up here for everybody's reference. He may be a nice guy, but that's what happen when things happen. Pls be warned of this shop.Go at your own risk.. If u think that I'm maligning him, feel free to contact me at [email protected] I would gladly be available to vouch for the truth of this case.
  13. Like that also can? Just feel that fellas who drink really shldn't drive. When they do, they not only risk their own lives but more importantly, other innocent folks might get hurt or even killed. From STOMP: Motorists set up Facebook page to help drink drivers evade Police road blocks This Facebook group unabashedly states its intentions -- to help drivers evade road blocks meant to prevent drink driving on the roads, providing tip-offs to drivers seeking to drink and drive. STOMPer Concerned feels that this group makes roads less safe for other road users. The comments posted by the users provide detailed information as to where each road block can be found, down to the deployment of vehicles at each block. Concerned commented on the group: "I recently found out about this Facebook group that's helping drunk drivers not get caught. "They're making the roads less safe for us all by giving tip-offs to help evade road blocks."

  15. We all have to agree to disagree, and do so in a civic way. Put forth cogent arguments and not put up such seditious and irrresponsible statements. I hope the authorities reign this in.
  16. STOMPer RockyCookie was traumatised when an unleashed dog ruthlessly attacked him one month ago. Little did he expect the initially minor wound to exacerbate so severely that he has since undergone two surgeries and has yet to recover. In an email sent on May 10, RockyCookie says: "It's been a month since the attack and things had to get worse before they get better. "The doctor attending to my case at the clinic did not take any action to clean up the wound further nor try to see what could be the cause for the swelling. "The nurses cleaning my wound insisted that there was no infection and took me off antibiotics. "A day later, my dad took me to my family doctor who cut away some dead tissue and found that the wound was deeper than initially thought. "The doctor urgently referred me to TTSH Orthopaedics. After a series of blood tests and four x-rays, I was sent home. "The next morning, my whole foot swelled up to a point where my ankle was no longer visible and I couldn't even put any pressure on it. "I was rushed to the hospital, where I was put on painkillers and antibiotics. During my two-week-stay there, I had two surgeries to remove the infected tissue and drain the fluids before getting seven stitches to close the wound. "The injury from the bottom jaw was excised in an area of about 5.5cm by 4.5cm with a depth of 0.7cm. This wound cannot be stitched and I opted for natural healing over skin graft since there is no point in giving me another injury to manage. "Apparently the dog's teeth went in deep and curved against the direction of the superficial skin tear towards my ankle and this led to a build up of infection that the antibiotics could not cure. My foot was attached to a vacuum pump that sucked out any fluids. "I won't be able to walk for about one month and cannot wear shoes for the next eight weeks. "The wound is expected to completely close up in about four months. "I was also advised to drop a university module, delaying my graduation by six months and disrupting my plans for further study. "Until today, there has been not a single word or appearance from the family whose dog attacked me. The police are still conducting their investigation and so is AVA. "I am extremely disappointed that even after a month, that family has no courtesy to even come by to see how things are. "All costs incurred to my dogs and me from the attack is already a five-digit amount and will only get higher." http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...ected_foot.html Apparently the owner of the dog didnt even mention anything or visit the victim at all! Lawyers, do we have any legal recourse against such people? Will the court order the dog to be put down?
  17. One of my current car is a CNG car purchased from one of the "biggest" PI in Singapore. They also got their own workshop in Sin Ming. I will do my servicing regularly with them every 10,000km because mine is a CNG car and most of the time when I service outside, my car engine light will light up and I will need to drive back to this PI workshop to tune it ( and waste my time; imagine gota drive to and fro every 10,000km and sometimes they cant fix it on first attempt ) I was horrified when I called up the workshop to book an appt last monday when my 10000km mark is breached. Nobody answered my call for the whole day despite me calling 12-15 times. Next two days, I called and someone picked up and said they shifting to paya lebar. When? "soon" is the answer and kept asking me to call back. I call back 2 days later and they still say call back next week. Cmon, my car is CNG and I only CAN go to your workshop to service. I have breached the 12000km mark ( exceeed 2000km ) and now no one can give me an anwer and I cant cabut to another workshop. How can conduct business like that??? If anything happens to my CNG now, who is going to help? I called up other CNG workshop and they said cannot do anything as the installer is not them. And this workshop got one stupid policy. Lunchtime, they close down for 1-2 whole hour. Say 1pm-2pm lunch time, everyone MIA for lunch. So if your car reach there at 10am and by 1pm still not done yet, sorry u surely gota wait till after 2pm to collect your car. I understand the need to have lunch time for everyone but dont they understand how to plan shifts??? Seriously getting too arrogant this company.
  18. This morning I was awoken by my car alarm and proceed to the window to see what is happening . Saw a couple walking away. I know that it is either my car got knock by his car or that idiot open his car door so hard that knock onto my car. Went down to inspect my car and I realised that idiot open his car door so forcefully that he created a big ding on my car door. Paint also dropped out . I got furious because I take effort to maintain my car and always careful not to create dings on peoples' car door when opening my own. For me I just kept mum but what I don't understand why are there are such irresponsible idiots around hurting people feelings without due care. Doing this sort of things as though nothing happen. Somemore just polish my car"swee swee" not too long ago. I hope someone would give him back a big ding on his car then he will realise how painful . Now still very "buay song". What would you do if you happen to see people doing this to your ride bros ?
  19. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1919038/traffic_dangerous/ saw this in shc good drivers just drive. be responsible.
  20. "My friend died in collision with driver using phone, so I will report this driver" And it was the death of a motorcyclist-friend which prompted a STOMPer to report this driver, as the deceased had passed away because of a collision with a car, where the driver was also on his mobile phone. Alex emailed STOMP on Oct 11 and said: "I have got a friend who used to ride a motorcycle. "He met with an accident a car, because the driver was on his mobile phone and didn't notice my friend brake in front of his vehicle. "He was just 22 years old when he passed away. "On Oct 9, while I was out for lunch, I saw this driver, who was on his phone, driving as he was talking. "He was driving this way for some time, so I decided to report this. "I am not sure how I can report him to the police. "He drove this way from Woodlands Avenue 5 to Avenue 9, then turned into Woodlands Industrial Park. "This took place at about 1:50 pm." FINE ,BAN Driving and JAIL Him [smash]
  21. Should I wished that the driver of a KIA dark-color saloon be a member here? Listen if you do. After I exited from Funan at about noon and was at the traffic light stop immediately, this car S**4401 came alongside me. I saw a young boy probably 5~6 years old sitting with the front passenger. It was obvious he was not belt up, the front passenger was though! I took 3 look at them but they seem not bothered what is wrong. The boy is big enough to be seated behind and belt up, in my opinion. They proceeded on New Bridge Road towards Chinatown. If the driver and the passenger are the parents of that boy, then I say that they are irresponsible and they do not deserved to be parents.
  22. It's on STOMP. Please decide and voice out for justice. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singapor...nt.jsp?id=27196 Thank you. "I had a near-miss accident at a round-about near Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim Road on Saturday (June 28), because a PRC driver suddenly cut into my lane without warning. I was at the outer lane of the round-about and driving at 20-30km/h at that point of time. "To avoid the accident, my only choice was to swerve left to avoid collision.I could not brake too as there were cars behind me. "The worst thing was that the PRCs driving the lorry refused to admit their mistake! They even aggressively shouted and pointed fingers denying their mistake. "They refused to exchange driver license particulars and refused to let me take photos of them. " When I spoke to their boss over the phone the boss said his hands were tied as he was not at the scene and his workers denied any mistakes. "He even told me to understand that his workers are lowly paid. I was so angry, and I told him off that being lowly paid does not mean that they can shirk off their responsibility! "As there was no vehicle collision involved or any human injuries, there was no way for me to make an accident claim. "I've also checked with AIG on whether I can make a claim against them, but to no avail since they can deny it as there was no damage to their vehicle. "The insurance people told me that I was just plain unlucky. "Final damage had to be borned by me. I'm glad that my workshop was there to provide swift repairs and lend me a spare wheel for me to drive to other workshops. My steering arm also had to be replaced! "I have photos of those PRCs (one with them pointing aggressively when I took the photos) and the lorry license plate. Thinking of emailing STOMP to voice out these irresponsible and dangerous PRC workers! "Since I can't claim them and it is not worth claiming my own insurance, I shall air their dirty laundry in public. "May I have the support from other fellow road users? "
  23. its my turn to rant... place: along guillemard opposite s'pore badminton association day/time: yesterday about 6.30pm road condition: fair weather, moderate traffic while waiting like the rest for the light to turn green, i looked around, bored..as usual.. noticed from my rear-view mirror there's a bicycle cyclist (with full cycle gear, helmet, tights, sunglass etc) weaving in from 2 to my lane (1). thought, should'nt they cycle on lane 3? its dangerous man... then i glanced in front, great, light in front turned green.. gonna prepare to move off. suddenly, a BANG sound from the rear. i looked back, saw the stupid cyclist crashed his bicycle on my car! i was stunned for a moment, while the guy quickly picked up his bicycle and continued his way. i quickly came out, and expectedly, there was a dent and some deep scratches. but the bugger has gone ahead. pissed off, i give chase along the same lane even tho he was out of sight.. after a minute, saw him still cycling on lane 1. drove beside him, honked and asked if he's ok. he said he's fine. then i told him to pull over at road side cos there's damage to my car and i wanna talk with him. he said ok i filtered to lane 3 and stopped before the next red light. but that bugger just cycled off. darn.. true enough, after the light turned green again, he's gone, either continued his way to paya lebar, sims or geylang road.. knn.. no balls to be a responsible man to face what he has done btw, he's a grown-up man, with a fake angmor accent.. PUI!

THEN now the bugger go appeal to lawyer and send my friend a lawyer letter asking her to pay 50 50 for the incident if not will bring the case to court. HE TWIST OF HIS WHOLE STATEMENT NOW. Wonder why the society got this kind rich bxxxxxd.
  25. Just withness a very irresposible act by this Merc cab today at upper thomson..... Upper Thomson's traffic was quite heavy with all 3 lanes packed with slow moving vehicles this morning around 7plus. i was travelling at the 1st lane when i saw a BMW suddenly jam brake on the 2nd lane with its steering wheel turned slightly to the right to avoid something. Due to this sudden brake, a tomyam Altis collide onto the BMW's butt ahead of him.... Then, I saw a stationary white Merc cab with 2/3 of its vehicle in lane 1 and 1/3 of its vehicle's front on 2nd lane slightly ahead of BMW, pointing at 2 o'clock direction.Because lane 3 is slow, Quite obvious Merc want to switch lane and force his way out to 2nd lane, causing the BMW to jam brake and resulting into an accident. Shortly, the traffic starts to move and the Merc cab just speed off like nobody's business......... haizzzzzz really pity the suay jiao (unlucky bird)altis..... 1. Lane 1 slow. 2. Merc try to switch lane with little space 3. BMW Jam brake. 4. Altis kiss BMW 5. Merc cab sped off.(Irresponsible) 6. I've Merc's vehicle number ....kekekekeke
