Hi everyone, Recently my 2008 Honda Accord 2.4A dashboard had some lights lighted up on the dashboard. They are the VSA and ABS light. Brought to Kah Motor and diagnose, but was told that the VSA Modulator Assembly is damage and need to be replaced. Can any bro/sis recommend or know any workshop who knows how to repair or replace such module? Instead of going back to authorised dealer. Thanks in advance. Cheers!

From My Paper: RGPS students made to stand at assembly for months By Samantha Boh My Paper Thursday, Oct 17, 2013 SINGAPORE - For being "too talkative", a class of Primary 2 pupils from Raffles Girls' Primary School (RGPS) were made to stand for 15 minutes during every assembly. This went on for three months, and raised the ire of a parent. The school's vice-principal has now admitted that the punishment was "excessive". Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao reported yesterday that the incident came to light when the father of one of the girls heard what was happening and visited the school to see for himself. "Three months is too long for any parent to accept. I believe the rest of the parents do not know about this," he was quoted as saying. The punishment reportedly began in July, when a teacher chided the class of 29 pupils for talking too much during assembly. They were then made to stand from 12.30pm to 12.45pm during every assembly, before being allowed to sit like the rest of their schoolmates. RGPS vice-principal Choong Pek Lan told My Paper that the punishment was "excessive", and was not commonly used by teachers at the school. Both the school and the Education Ministry are looking into the matter. MP Baey Yam Keng, a member of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Education, described the punishment as "embarrassing for the students". But he added that schools should not shy away from disciplining pupils who misbehave. "There needs to be a balance," he said. This is how the engines are assembled by hand.... If you ask me, I feel its a little low tech considered some manufacturers have adopted a fully automated process which is be even more precise than hand assembled.

ZF designs carbon fiber MacPherson strut assembly

Carbon fiber has long been heralded as a wonder material for the automotive industry due to its inherent strength and light weight. Despite this favorable strength-to-weight ratio and the fact that it's now been around for decades in one form or another, the composite has yet to see widespread use in our cars and trucks. There are a number of reasons for this, including the well-known duo of cost and manufacturing difficulties. With the backing of BMW, though, it seems that the time may finally have come for carbon fiber to come to the fore of automotive technologies. Now, another German company, automotive supplier ZF, is looking to get in on the front line of composite technology with a new carbon fiber MacPherson strut assembly. According to the manufacturer, this new suspension component cuts up to 9 pounds at each corner through the use of an integrated wheel carrier, a piston rod of carbon fiber, a fiberglass spring (a use seen on cars such as the Corvette for years) and a plastic top mounting plate. While this unit is initially designed for the upcoming wave of small cars, ZF says the technology can be applied to larger offerings as well.

Read in the Straits Times today that the AD of Subaru vehicles Motorimage already has an assembly plant in Singapore. EDB is also doing a research into setting up a motor assembly plant here to make Singapore more competitive with other countries. Does the above means that import tax for vehicles assembled in Singapore would be scrapped since they are being assembled here. Are we expecting to see much cheaper prices for Subarus and other cars that EDB has in their sleeves, in the near future.
