Have you ever heard friends or colleagues mention that they get tired more easily the older they get? I've heard this from friends who are older and surprisingly, younger. But why is it easier to believe that the older someone is, the less energy they have? And conversely, the younger the person, the more active they are? But I don't think that we become less energetic as we age. I've met folks who are stronger, fitter and more active, despite being 20 years older than me. Do they work out daily? Perhaps that's part of it. Maybe they drink more coffee than I do as well. Exercise has wonderful benefits - even just walking for 45 minutes a day three times a week will make you sprightlier and more limber. Frequent exercise will make you feel more energetic. (Image: Chander R, Unsplash) The sedentary trap Many of us, however, spend six to seven hours a day sitting at our desks. The problem arises when we don't counter this with exercise (I need a lot more myself). Eventually, prolonged sedentary habits lead to lower energy levels... and this feeling of 'being old'. A lack of exercise also leads to aches and pains. When my neck became sore neck due to poor posture, walking and cycling (along with improved posture) eventually made it go away. But there's no doubt that working out played the biggest role in my healing. If all this is true, why then, is aging still equated with having lower energy levels? The work and social skills you use have a "mana" cost. (Image: Federico Beccari, Unsplash) "Managing your mana" My theory about age and energy is this: As you get older, you become more selective about who and/or what you spent your time on. For instance, if you were 25 and got invited to an after-work party at your first job, you'd probably attend. But if you're 35, there's a good chance there are a variety of reasons why you'd say no. With age comes more responsibilities. You might have children to pick up from school and look after at home. You may need to shop for groceries or even prepare dinner at home. As we get older, many of us make more judicious use of our time, especially when there are more pressing matters needing our attention. (Image: Alexandar Todov, Unsplash) This is "managing your mana". In video games, mana is a fictional energy that characters use to cast spells or special skills. Depending on the game, it either replenishes (slowly) over time, or the player can consume potions (or pots) to instantly refill it. The same scenario applies in real life. And let's not forget that while energy can be refilled, there's no way to gain back time already spent. – Jeremy Main image: I ch, Unsplash

Anyone knows which workshops perform high speed on car wheel balancing and the estimated cost involved? Thanks.

HI. Can recommend shop that has On Wheel Balancing. On 16inch and did once in Johor (can't remember price) for my front wheels. Solved my steering vibration at 90+km/hr hour. Recently rotated my rears to the fronts. WS only balanced the Fronts on machine per normal. Vibration again when traveling between 90 to 100km/hr. No time go Johor, so was wondering if there's this service in Singapore and how much would it cost roughly? Thanks.

Hi guys, Just wondering if you guys can educate me on the above? What's the difference between wheel alignment, balancing and rotation? When will I know if I need to do any of the above. Do you have any good workshops you can recommend for the above services? Has any of you tried the Stanford Tyres at Yishun? What about Poh Seng or City Auto?? By the way, I drive a 2003 Mazda Protege Auto. All advice appreciated. Thanks.

Anyone can share with me where I can get on-car high speed wheel balancing done and at what cost? Preferably around Bukit Batok, Clementi or Bukit Panjang area? My steering tends to vibrate when driving at speeds above 100km/hr; I believe this would solve the problem.

Normally we want to workshop for tyre rotation or change new tyre. They did tyre balancing with a stand alone machine with the tyre and rim turing. So what is aligment check? It is neccessary when changing to new tyre that i need to go for aligment? Will a side slip test do the job?

Hi I know it's not a big deal but so far the shops I'd been to has not show due care and thus got scratches & scuffs on my rims & tyres after sending in for the above services. Maybe because the amount is not big or I didn't buy tyres from them? ANyone can recommend a caring tyre shop? If not convenient do PM the name of the mech also at least then I know exactly who to look for in the shop. Thanks all and have a great weekend.

Hello fellow forummers, Apologies for asking this question but I'm really a NOT technical person at all when it comes to automobiles. I've come to notice that my front left tyre is going to be 'botak' very soon and the pressure is always much lower than the right (but the right still looks and feels quite ok), so I've decided to change both front tyres. I would like to seek fellow forummers expert opinion on how the left front tyre 'botak' faster than the right. And if I change both front tyres, would I need to do rotating/balancing/alignment? Your advise is much appreciated, please. Many thanks in advance Dex

Hi guys, Noticed that the weights on my taiwanese rims from stamford have dropped off. I can only see the double sided sticker which was used to attach the weights. Is there anything i should do or do i simple leave it as it is? Thanks for sharing. Cheers

Hi all, would like to check if I need to do balancing if I were to swap the sport rims of 2 cars, assuming they are currently balanced before swap. Thanks!

Hi guys, just to check around. Must we do wheel balancing if we rotate the tires back to front and vice versa? No changing of tires involved btw.
