  1. http://en.rocketnews24.com/2013/04/21/chin...ng-his-scrotum/ On 8 April, the trial began for a woman accused of killing a man in an excruciating fashion. It all started on 19 April of the previous year. The suspect was picking up her child when she parked an electric bike in front of a shop. The man running the shop came out and shouted

  3. Transsexual man jailed for oral sex with boy, 15 A TRANSSEXUAL shop assistant has been jailed for 15 months after luring a 15-year-old customer, who went to buy pancakes, into having oral sex. The victim, a student, had been playing computer games at home when he felt peckish and went to a 7-Eleven store to buy a snack at around 2am on Jan 8, 2011. He struck up a conversation with Tan Yeong Perng, believing him to be a woman as the then 34-year-old store assistant and cashier had long hair and wore make-up. Tan, now 36, had breast implants done years earlier in Thailand. He has a sexual preference for men and cross-dresses as a woman, a district court heard. The shop assistant asked the victim for his name, age and where he lived. The teenager claimed he was 16 and lived near Ang Mo Kio. While the student waited for his pancakes to be prepared, Tan went to the toilet to touch up his make-up. When the shop assistant came out, he led the victim to the storeroom and started kissing him. Tan pulled off the boy's shorts and committed the obscene act. The teenager's legs accidentally brushed against Tan's groin and he became suspicious. To confirm his suspicion, he touched Tan's groin - and discovered that the shop assistant was a man. In a state of panic and shock, he tried to pull away from Tan and felt the latter's teeth on his private parts. Eventually, the victim managed to get away and left. When he got home, his mother noticed that he immediately went to take a shower. She also found it odd that he then lit some joss sticks to pray at the altar. Asked what was wrong, he cried and told her what had happened. She called the police. Yesterday, District Judge Soh Tze Bian backdated Tan's sentence to Oct 30 last year after he had admitted to abusing the victim. Deputy Public Prosecutor Kavita Uthrapathy had asked for a jail sentence of at least 14 months, given the aggravating factors: Tan was a good 19 years older than the victim; they were strangers and he took advantage of the teenager. "Needless to say, the victim is traumatised by the incident," she said. Tan had a charge of molesting another teenager at another outlet taken into consideration. The shop assistant, who said he was sexually abused when he was a child, was found by the Institute of Mental Health to be suffering from alcohol dependence. He could have been jailed for up to 10 years and fined for sexually abusing the teenager. [email protected] the bolded part sibe funny.... [:p]
  4. How sua ku of me and ignorant of the current diesel engine car prices until yesterday.... Was at Toa Payoh Hub doing some shopping and saw VW having a sale promotions. On display were several models and since I am driving a 7 seaters currently, thought of maybe having a change as it left 4 years. I went straight for their 7-seaters on display. Was looking at their VW Sharan, 2000cc TSI (Euro 5 Diesel engine) on offer with bucket seats all round. Size is slightly bigger than my Picnic, passengers space wise is almost the same but the price of that Sharan was shocking for a diesel engine. Inclusive of COE, the price of Sharan above the range of $225,000+. Didn't know that a diesel engine 7-seaters could cost that much nowadays. The cheapest on displayed was the Golf which above $100k. With my wife and me browsing almost half an hour and no sale engineers approach us. Maybe I was wearing a bermuda & 'T' shirt and to them, we are just another bus & MRT couple feeling shiok touching at their new vehicles on display... Well, will visit BM this weekend to view at the Toyota Previa Hybrid.
  5. Can't help but share wat I saw this morning. Was parking my car and noticed a bike beside a heavily kitted OPC lancer ex. Guess wat? The owner was transferring the petrol from bike to car! Wah lan..wanna save until tat extend might as well buy a smaller car (or better, dun buy at all!) or perhaps save the $$$ dun mod lah..really cheapskate IMO.. Anyway, juz for laughs on Monday morning..not targeting at OPC or any race in particular..cheers!
  6. I have this habit of topping up only after the gauge reach E, stretching the frequency of going to kiosk. Is this a desirable thing to do? Heard that it might adversely affect the fuel pump. Anyone here does this since day one of owning the car and face no problem or the other way round? Need advise. Regards.
  7. Need advise whether to buy S60 now or wait until next year for the COE to drop... Current S60 is going at $156K with immed COE and will get the car before end Dec. It's still a bit steep for me and still wondering whether want to wait longer. But i expect LTA to cut COE quota again and CEO will go up higher. I was told Cat A might hit 70K and Cat B above $100K. All thanks to Taxi and FTs. Please give constructive advise. Appreciate all the input.

  10. To think that our nation's fate is in the hands of 21 men & women in the cabinet is really chilling to the bone. And in extreme cases, it is down to 11 folks determining what happens to you, me, our future & our children's future if there is also a democratic system of majority-wins during their cabinet meetings. How did I ever come to this assumption? With a 82-2 overwhelming majority in parliament, whatever decisions/bills these 21 people comes out with WILL BECOME LAW unless the party whip is lifted. And even if the party whip is lifted, there is no guarantee that the ruling party MPs will vote with their own conscience if there is actually a group think thingy going on or they vote for these bills simply out of fear of antagonising their party colleagues or superiors. So regardless of what the background i.e. humble or otherwise, the potential i.e. minister-cailbre or otherwise or their stated convictions i.e. wanting to listen more, willing to change or otherwise, the present slate of eager & earnest newbies together with the existing batch of MPs will LL have to vote along the party line if the whip is not lifted. The idea of 9 NCMPs provided after the amendments to our constitution sounds great on paper. They can debate all they can but plays absolutely no part in deciding our nation's fate as they are only pseudo MPs & cannot vote at all. We are all pragmatic people & know the present government, despite all the apparently misgivings about transparency, accountability & dominance, is still functioning properly. Who can say, however, few GEs down the road, that their substance will still be the same? And if we are still relying on a A-Team formula, what happens if the gov of the day turns rogue then? Will it be so simple as to some say, just vote them out? Who is to stop these jokers from enacting bills to entrench them in perpetual control of the country? Will our future generations need to do what many of the Middle East folks are doing now to get things back in order? So my message is the same as what the ruling party is urging you now: THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU CAST THAT PRECIOUS VOTE COME MAY 7... Just my 2 cts...

  14. If a report from Japan's Best Car is to be believed, Toyota will delay the release of the FT-86 from 2011 to 2013. The reasons behind the delay are varied, and include a different design direction, the economic slowdown and possibly a revised powertrain strategy that could include some kind of hybrid motivation. As reported previously, the original FT-86 concept was just that

  21. Sep 5, 2008 LTA may review plan on ERP gantries By Christopher Tan SENIOR CORRESPONDENT THE six additional electronic road-pricing (ERP) gantries slated to come online in November may not be activated at once, said Transport Minister Raymond Lim on Friday. Mr Lim, speaking at a Press Club luncheon, said traffic flow on several roads in the city has improved since the Land Transport Authority unveiled a slew of ERP changes in July. 'If this is sustained, then LTA will be happy to review the plan,' the Minister said. 'It may then need to put up only a few gantries rather than all six.' The new gantries are on Commonwealth Avenue, Jalan Bukit Merah, Serangoon Road, Alexandra Road, Ayer Rajah Expressway (westbound near Alexandra Road) and Pan-Island Expressway (westbound near Eunos). They were among two dozen or so gantries added to Singapore roads this year. Although the gantries have been built, not all have been switched on. In places where they are up and running, the impact has been noticeable. Five new ones along the Singapore River, along with extended operating hours for others, have improved travelling speeds in the city. Motorists who had been bracing themselves for the six new gantries are keeping their fingers crossed. http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNew...ory_275568.html aiya. install liaoz mai activate? mike as well just tear down. waste $$. white elephant...
