  1. Update: After scrolling through TikTok, a video of the couple enjoying their romantic anniversary ride came up. This couple is the ultimate definition of 'loving each other through thick and thin'. Posted recently, on Facebook, a video of a man taking his significant other for a romantic drive garnered the attention of numerous netizens. Taken from the back, the video shows a man in a red shirt riding a white Vespa. Attached to his vehicle is a matching sidecar, with which his significant other is seated comfortably in. Sounds romantic, right? However, a higher power has other plans for this couple as heavy rain plundered the entire country that day Somehow, the man had forgotten to check the weather (or maybe he assumed that there would be no rain) - exposing the both of them to a cold thundery shower. Netizens' reactions Despite his mistake, numerous netizens came together and celebrated the couple for enduring the unexpected ride. This definitely beats the same old dinner with flowers. This is the real definition of true love! I'm sure this experience is definitely going to be one of those stories they tell their kids in the future. ======= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 2. Children are the future – and it's looking brighter than ever. A driver took to Facebook to share a heart-warming occurrence that happened to him while he was driving along Anchorvale Link. If you observe the video carefully, you'll notice that the driver seems to be in the vicinity of a school. Tagging behind a school bus, he slows down when he notices the zebra crossing ahead. The driver had thought nothing of it when he stopped to let two young kids cross the road. To his surprise, the two children bowed to show their appreciation as they quickly crossed with their hands raised. Once they had safely reached the other side, the two kids bowed again to thank the driver for his patience. Touched by their small gesture, the driver commended the children’s parents in his post and explained it’s heartening to see such etiquette from young children in Singapore. He also encourages other parents to educate their young ones on polite road etiquette, especially if they are travelling on their own to school. Proper road etiquette for pedestrians While most drivers are familiar with impatient and rude jaywalkers, these two children prove it is not challenging to display proper road etiquette. For those who are unfamiliar, the Singapore Road Safety Council has listed these guidelines on pedestrian road safety. If young children can adhere to these rules on their own, surely the adults can as well. Netizens’ reactions Exactly! Road safety is not a light matter and it is obvious that the parents of these kids have done a great job. ========= Receive a $10 PayNow for every submission we publish on Facebook! 3. I say, take the day off and let them sleep! As the end of the week creeps around the corner, most of us might lack the motivation to wake up early in the morning and report to work. However, one Foodpanda rider receives a sweet surprise as he gets ready for another day of deliveries. As the rider approaches his motorcycle, he finds two sleepy stray cats using the vehicle as their beds. Unfazed by the scene, he wakes them up as he tries to turn on the motorcycle. Judging from his actions, it seems that this might be a common occurrence and that these cats are no stranger to the rider. With one cat comfortably splayed out on top of his Foodpanda bag and the other cosied up in a basket, they attempt to return to their beauty sleep. The rider continues to gently shake both animals awake as he needs to get to work immediately. Note: While it might look like it, the rider is not choking the white cat in this portion of the video. If this isn't the cutest thing you've seen today, then I don't know what is! Netizens' reactions It's so heart-warming to see this rider being so gentle with the cats. If I was a sleepy cat, I would definitely pick this spot to sleep in too! ======== Receive a $10 PayNow transfer for every submission we publish on Facebook! 4. There's this product that's been going viral on TikTok called The Flik, which is this hilarious remote-controlled neon sign that you can attach to the back of your car. You can either thank people when they're being considerate on the road. . . or flip them off when they're not. 🤣 Since it's controlled by a remote, I've seen videos of drivers attaching the remote near their steering wheel so that they can easily flip the sign on when they need to. I personally think this is pretty funny to have but it might not be super practical in Singapore (especially with road-raging uncles and aunties). It could be the next best thing to solve road rage since people can just signal their feelings now instead of getting out of the car and physically fighting others. What do you think? Is this a better alternative to road rage or would it actually backfire and lead to worse fights? 😅

  10. Bars are already great places to be, but I’m sure they’d be a whole lot better if the bartenders were hamsters. And that’s exactly the world that Twitter user Kawanabesatou imagines when he comes home from his job as a graveyard caretaker – he photographs his pet hamsters as they tend the tiny bars he’s built for them. We have no idea why these hamsters spend so much time in bars, but they are surprisingly well-done given their size. There are also bookstores and even a gravestone storefront in the mix as well. There’s an entire industry dedicated to miniscule food and drinks that can be placed in tiny models or doll houses. So if you’ve ever wanted to see a hamster eating sushi or having a beer, I guess you can cross that off your bucket list. (pictures are from someone else..) * (I have had a WW and a few robos before... they and bunnies have a spot in my heart.. ) 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
