  2. I got this phone few weeks back. 64gb, gold color. no edge for me. too gimmicky. Have to say that this phone is really good. Touchwiz has been minimised (not completely) but good enough so that there's less lag. This camera is really good. And I'm comparing with my wife's Iphone 6. Same and maybe even better. Supported by DXOmark review of the S6 Edge (exact same phone except for the edge thingy) http://www.dxomark.com/Phones I really like this camera, darn it's good. Way way better than my old Z. And in auto mode, definitely better than the Z3 by a lot. Battery life is decent. No longer have removable battery/SD cards. Upside is that the phone is very nice to hold compared to comparable Z3 (which i originally wanted to get).
  3. Why there is such a big different in price for 5W40($66) and 0W40($80)? Which is better choice?
  4. Coming very Soon. This movie is suppose to be like "Groundhog Day meets Starship Trooper". It is based on a Japanese novel named "All You need is Kill". The novel is currently being translated to Manga. You can read the manga from here (spoiler alerts though): http://www.mangahere.co/manga/all_you_need_is_kill/c001/3.html The mecha in the manga is very high-tech like Halo suits. The mecha in Tom Cruise's rendition is somewhat more realistic and raw. The movie seemed to be more serious than the manga. Either way, the main plot in the Manga and Movie should not sway too much but we can/may expect some twists in the movie version. Early reviews of the movie were surprisely good.
  5. Romantic meals right at the edge of the Singapore River will soon become a thing of the past at Robertson Quay and Clarke Quay, when new rules on outdoor refreshment areas kick in this week. Under new guidelines from the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), diners' tables cannot be placed right by the riverside. The aim, it said, is to "free up the riverfront for public access". The new rules are effective immediately, but the URA said it would give operators "sufficient time" to clear the riverside tables. Outdoor tables on the side of the walkway away from the river can stay, and restaurants can also apply to develop second-storey extensions from buildings to create dining areas there. 7. Skydiver to break sound barrier in freefall from edge of space http://sg.news.yahoo.com/blogs/what-is-buz...-102932514.html It is a mission that's literally out of this world. Late on Tuesday evening, Singapore time, one man will jump out at the edge of space and freefall into the Earth at supersonic speed. It will be highest and fastest free fall in history. The man crazy enough to do it is extreme skydiver and seasoned BASE jumper Felix Baumgartner, 43. Just to give you an idea, the Austrian will jump from Earth's stratosphere at an altitude of more than 36 kilometre and free fall for about 3 minutes and 40 seconds, faster than the sound of speed. A million and one things could go wrong for this mission that has been five years in the making. Should air pressure get too much and his specially-made US$200,000 suit should malfunction, things could get messy -- very messy. His blood could boil, his lungs could over inflate and the vessels in his brains could burst. The project, Red Bull Stratos, aims to stretch human limits to advance scientific and medical understanding in space exploration and human flight. The mission, which was pushed back by 24 hours to make sure weather conditions were perfect for this maiden mission, will happen tonight, starting at 8pm, Singapore time. Wearing only his pressurized suit and a parachute, he will pause at the hatch of a tiny capsule as it ascends into space before jumping out. Watch it LIVE HERE at 8PM Singapore time (9th Oct 2012) : http://www.redbullstratos.com/

  13. DIPLOMA-HOLDER Joyce Wong had six job offers shortly after completing her media and communication course in May. Two months later, the 20-year-old started work as an account executive at an advertising agency. Her monthly pay is $2,000, higher than the average starting salary of polytechnic graduates. Meanwhile, degree-holder Lynette Tillai, 23, has had little luck since she returned in June on graduating from the University of California, Berkeley. The psychology graduate applied to 10 local firms - mostly in the social services sector - but was rejected or ignored. The stark contrast in their fate is a reflection of how the downturn has been kinder to polytechnic than to university graduates - across all age groups. This picture emerged in the latest Manpower Ministry report on the job market in the third quarter.
