  1. I bought a tube of silicone gel and realised it is grey in color, I feel a waste and very environmentally unfriendly to throw it away, so if anyone needs this gel ,I am more than happy to pass it on, but you must pick it up from me😀. It cost less than$5, so dont bother if you don't live around hougang area. I can lend you the applicator too if you need one.
  2. I love the Earl Grey tea. Anyone here share the same passion with me?? Some facts that I got to know more about this tea. Tea contains ver y high levels of catechin, an antioxidant that fights oral infections. The bergamot in Earl Grey tea has been known to have a calming effect on people, as well as to boost a person’s mood. This is due to bergamot’s natural aromatherapy qualities. In this way Earl Grey is a good natural solution for people suffering from depression, stress and anxiety. English Breakfast tea is also smooth too. Do share.
  3. Hi Guys, Firstly, Merry Christmas and I hope you guys are enjoying the festive holidays!! To start this, I've went down to view and test drive a Kia Cerato Forte Koup 2.0 yesterday at WCEGA Plaza, Top Carz / Pioneer Auto. (#02-55) I was about to submit my particulars to purchase the car when I threw the question if Lemon Law is applied to this car. The dealer said no and there isn't any lemon law applicable for their cars. No reason was given when I ask and he just keep saying that their cars on sale has no lemon law. Alternatively, I can get a 3rd party warranty for 6 months, which I have to service my car at their workshop if not the warranty is void. On top of that, I would need to pay a premium for the warranty. I have rejected the car purchase and would like to ask if anybody has encountered the exact situation with other dealers as he said in the market there are some who doesn't apply lemon law? From what I know, lemon law should apply even if it doesn't state on the sales agreement or contract. But, if in the event the sales agreement states a clause that the vehicle is sold under "as it is" condition, then there will not be lemon law applicable. Sincerely seek the community's advise or opinion on this. Thanks.
  4. would like to know which country i can attempt to export cars to in order to get a better sale price. i can't seem to find exporters in singapore, and the dealers and lowballing. anyone knows which are the general market we can direct export our cars to in order to sell? i know to export cars to UK must pay at least 30+% of duty and tax. export to malaysia must pay $50k RM for the licence. i know australia stop allowing import already.

  8. To the driver of a grey civic bearing the plate SDB2!6L traveling on AYE today @ 8am+... U bloody b------d if wanna drive recklessly & go to hell early, pls go to a ulu spot & bang urself on a tree or a drain instead of endangering other rd users! U drive as if its ur father's rd & cut into my lane(1st lane) suddenly when there is not much space for ur ass to move into(less than 1 car length gap between my car & the front), furthermore u never even bothered to signal ur intention... thus causing me to jam brake! Horned u & beamed u but u act like either u r brain dead or deaf or blind! Not oni this, not long after u cut into my lane dangerously, u choot stunt again by cutting dangerously into the 2nd lane & over took the car previously infront of u on the 1st lane b4 cutting back dangerously into dat car's lane in front causing dat car to jam brake oso! Again not long after dat, u lagi best! U dangerously cut ur bloody fat ass all the way to the left most lane & travelled on the rd shoulder & made urself disappeared! If u really wanna go & die... pls make sure u die alone & not drag other innocent rd users wif u!! Regardless u have sumthing urgent or emergency.. dats not the way u handle it on the rd a-----e!! I dun gif a hoot wats ur reason.. reckless driving means reckless driving! U jolly well wake up ur bloody idea & reflect on ur driving attitude using ur pea brain! Hopefully i wun encounter ur ass on the rd again...Thanks for pissing me off 1st thing in the morning u martha farker. Frens of this b------d pls do him a favour by reminding him of his driving attitude! If not ask him to thrash his bloody c---c & take public! 9. Didnt know my tap of the horn could make you suddenly drive all crazy... Now both our morning are spoiled which i believe is not worth. Plus You work in this area and my vendors oso around this area, so many chance to meet again. Singapore small, tuas even smaller... 10. Not a complaint but sharing my encounter with this joker at a certain carpark in Bukit Batok. From what I see, P-platers drive better than you and you should restrict yourself to driving in the driving circuit. In other words, go drive in the driving school or go take a ride on the kiddy machine. Empty carpark and you are a resident here, no reason why you drive so slow at 10-15 kmph and every slight turn you signal, WHY?? Next time want to park and there's a car behind you, please turn on the hazard light . . . I had to reverse when you decided last minute you wanted to park. Yes, you are a safe driver but be more considerate when there's someone behind you . . . . . you could be bothered and I had to beam you at first to let you know and subsequently had to horn you when you reverse to park when I was right behind you. And that old woman beside you very fierce hor? Glaring at people as if the carpark belongs to you. Sad to say but women drivers are much much better than you . . . lamo. Buay zhai go take puiblic transport . . . carpark also want to do hogging . . . WLE!!
  11. Why my title is as follows.... Yesterday @ 1850hrs.. The story goes like this while travelling along the road beside the SAFRA Tampines leading to Avenue 1...traffic turns red so stop behind 3 cars mine last car..beside me on my right was a modded red swift... Then came this car stop behind me with high beam ON..ignore him.. felt funny though as when all cars starts moving off...he just tailgated all the way with his high beam light behind me till the Polytechnic... this time made me frustrated and tapped my brake ...he swerved to my right side and start jerking his car with that BOV sound over and over again(I think its just a sound module ) Cuts in front of me and jammed brake a few times and went to the left and starts put up his hand for a race...my wife was with me told to ignore him.. Ignored him liao...ESi and MPV.. hahah.. Turn to Avenue 10 towards Kaki Bukit Flyover... Again jerking his car with that stupid BOV sound...and zoomfast up the fly over...tailgated him halfway till my wife starts making noise... Further up the flyover again he jerked off the previous modded red swift...this time the swift given him the smoke only to smell.. For the driver of the FUNNY CAR if you or your friend read this ...tell me please what happen just to continue this story..
  12. Dis f**ker! I was on the 1st lane of a 3-lane road during peak hour, the left lane being the bus lane. I needed to make a left turn in about less than 100m, so I have to make a switch to the 2nd lane first. The lanes were all packed with slow moving vehicles. I signalled my intention to switch to the 2nd lane. Found the gap beside me opening, checked the rear view mirror, a grey landrover was about 2 car lengths away. Was thinking, hmm this kind soul, so nice and patient to let me switch lane. I confirmed all clear.. and made the switch. When i was 3/4 into the lane, dis f**ker sped up and started honking like rushin to hell! And while honking, he swerved into the bus lane and sped past me! Knn wat the fark! He opened the gap.. I was 3/4 into the lane, then he pulled such stunt! My natural reaction was shocked and swerved back to my lane. Luckily the car behind me did not attempt to pass me as i still got part of my car length in the 1st lane.. I made another attempt to switch again, dis time to 2nd then to dotted bus lane. F**ker still turned and looked at me! He's worse than most cabbies! Damn it's really tough trying not to curse and swear! I really hope he burns in hell! Just need to vent some frustration! and GBB13XX.. hope I dun see you around again..
  13. along Bricklands Road. WTF? happily travelling along lane 1 to turn right to choa chu kang then you block my way then u brake and then you JAM BRAKE. then return to lane 2.... piangz... economy bad need money also no need to bang car lei... if i have offended u earlier then i am sorry bro... ur car is 1.8 mine is 1.5.... u win.
  14. You were weaving in and out of traffic along SLE - CTE at speed of more than 100km/h. Squeezing into tight spots, which was supposed to be the safety distance between vehicles. And mind you, you did not do a slow squeeze in, in fact, you cut abruptly into their lanes! From behind, i can see many drivers frantically activating their brakes to avoid hitting you. And most importantly, YOU DID NOT EVEN SIGNAL ONCE. NO ONE CAN READ YOUR MIND. All it takes is someone who is not alert and you'll get a new bumper. Please drive carefully and signal before you change lane! I know you are driving a company car, but that doesn't mean you can anyhow drive! To all, just be alert when you see this car. You'll never know when he will cut in front of you. PS. No, this driver did not cut into my lane. I saw the whole episode from 1 or 2 cars behind.
  15. Now, eversince my fren moved into his new place last month, have been going there for MJ. Everytime sure to see this SPB, so gathered must stay there too...... Anyone from SOG ?
  16. This morning, driving from Great World City towards Scotts Road at the junction of Clemenceau Ave and Patterson Road. Traffic light was green in my favour, this stupid b**th wanted to turn right from Patterson towards Tanglin coming from Scotts Road. She was inching forward into the middle of the junction and I saw her from about 30 metres away so I flashed my high beam to warn her. F**king cxxt ignored me and just went for it! I horned the hell out of her and jammed brake and she also jammed break till we both came to a complete stop in the middle of the junction - lights still green in my favour. I had my two little kids with me in the back seat and my wife freaked out. Stupid cxxt, Indian lady wearing huge sunglasses, looked stunned and then just quickly drove off without an apology. Told my wife that if that bitch continues to drive like that, she will get into a serious accident sooner or later and I hope that when it happens, she will get into such an accident with a cement mixer truck.

  18. Business Times - 23 Jul 2008 Sales of grey imports continue to surge Nissan is now a key parallel import brand due to the iconic GT-R model By SAMUEL EE PARALLEL imports continued to power ahead in the first six months of this year, with 11,860 units registered, or 23.5 per cent of the 50,549 new cars registered in Singapore during that period - up from 2007's 20.9 per cent market share. The parallel import (PI) figure for the first half is contrasted against that of the 36,891 units by the Motor Traders Association of Singapore (MTA). MTA is a grouping of authorised distributors, although not all such distributors here are members. The ratio of PI to MTA sales is about 1:3 - the same as in Q1. This means that for every car sold by a parallel importer, three were sold by MTA members. Last year's ratio was 1:4. In the grey market, Honda currently holds sway, unlike Toyota in the authorised realm. Honda, Japan's No. 2 car maker, accounts for 46.9 per cent of all new parallel imports sold between January and June 2008, while Toyota, the world's biggest car maker, makes up 41.1 per cent. Together, Honda and Toyota constitute 88 per cent of all first-half parallel imports. The pace of Q2 sales has not slowed down compared with Q1. In fact, Q2's volume is slightly higher than Q1's. One interesting feature of H1 2008 is that the Nissan brand is suddenly a PI favourite with 145 units sold during this period, compared with just 27 grey imports for the whole of 2007. This is mainly due to the overwhelming popularity of the high-performance Nissan GT-R sports car (88 units in H1 2008) and the compact Dualis SUV (37 units). The first GT-R arrived here in January as a grey import and it will only be available from authorised Nissan distributor Tan Chong Motor Sales sometime in the second quarter of 2009. The four Japanese brands combined - Honda, Toyota, Suzuki and Nissan - account for a whopping 94.4 per cent of all PI year-to-date sales. Among PI models, the most popular is the Honda Fit with 2,058 units. This diminutive five-door hatchback arrived here last November while the Jazz, the export version from authorised distributor Kah Motor, will only be ready for registration nearer year-end. The Stream compact MPV is No. 2 with 1,865 units, while No. 3 is the domestic Japanese version of the ever popular Toyota Corolla, called the Axio (1,406 units). Also noteworthy is the number of Mercedes-Benz cars - 142 units in the first six months versus 236 for 2007 - a fact that can be attributed largely to the new C-Class model (43.7 per cent of total Merc registrations).

  24. Business Times - 31 Oct 2007 Richburg now offers grey-import Honda models Firm focusing on its strategy of offering only premium MPVs and SUVs By SAMUEL EE AFTER building up a strong reputation for offering alternative Toyota models, parallel importer Richburg Motors is now moving into Honda. Two weeks ago, the Hong Kong-based company brought in its first Honda model - the Stream compact MPV. Since Richburg set up shop in Singapore in October 2002, it has concentrated on offering only Toyota models, often those that are not offered by authorised distributor Borneo Motors Singapore. It has since become synonymous with niche or higher-end Toyota parallel imports. Its distinct identity is also enhanced by the fact that it has a standalone showroom on MacPherson Road, unlike most in the parallel import industry which are based in Ubi's Automobile Megamart. The link with Honda is not a difficult one to make. Richburg's parent company in Hong Kong is also a grey importer of Honda cars, besides Toyota, Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari. In addition, it is the exclusive distributor for Lotus sports cars. When asked why Richburg had decided to start importing a second brand now, sales manager Eddie Lo explains: 'We are already strong enough in Toyota models and are well-known in the market, so this is a good time to expand our business. Of course, we are still concentrating on our current strategy of offering only premium MPV and SUV models.' For example, the Stream model being offered is the RSZ variant with a higher level of specifications. Coming next will be the Elysion 3.5 MPV, followed by another MPV, the Honda Odyssey. 'The reason we chose them is that they are part of our 'premium' strategy and these models are suitable for our customers,' says Mr Lo. He adds that the Honda models will be offered at the current Richburg showroom on MacPherson Road, which has been renovated and expanded to accommodate more cars. Last year, the company sold 710 cars. After the first nine months of 2007, it has already exceeded this number by registering 825 units. Richburg forecasts that for the whole year, its sales will be close to 1,000. With the additional Honda models, Mr Lo expects 2008's volume to register a 20-25 per cent increase. 'At the start, Toyota sales should be slightly higher than Honda because of our reputation for selling Toyota. But within a year, sales for the two brands should be equal,' he says. In fact, Mr Lo expects 2008 to be a very good year for Richburg, with demand coming from hotel and casino clients eyeing high-end MPV models like the Toyota Alphard and Honda Elysion for their premium customers. Toyota and Honda are Singapore's top two brands. Toyota is the market leader among authorised distributors, represented by the Motor Traders Association of Singapore, as well as for Singapore's 120 or so parallel importers. Honda is also the runner-up - both in the authorised and grey markets. In the non-authorised market, sales of Toyota and Honda cars together made up 88 per cent of all parallel import models registered in the first nine months of this year. Parallel importers in Singapore are heading for another boom year in 2007. In the first nine months, a total of 16,997 grey imports were registered - more than the total 16,137 sales for the whole of 2006, which was already a record year.
  25. Business Times - 10 Oct 2007 Another record year for grey imports Non-authorised car dealers account for 20% of market, up from 4% in 2004 By SAMUEL EE THE demand for parallel imported cars has grown so strongly that the number of such vehicles registered in the first nine months of this year has overtaken the total for 2006. From January to September, parallel importers (PIs) sold 16,997 passenger cars, according to the Land Transport Authority. For the whole of 2006 - already a record year for PIs - total sales were 16,137. Parallel or grey imports are cars that are offered by sellers who are not authorised dealers or distributors. A large majority of these belong to the Motor Traders Association of Singapore (MTA), and in the first nine months of 2007, they collectively sold 63,652 cars. If an estimated total of 82,000 new cars were registered in Singapore from January to September this year, that would make the parallel importers' year-to-date market share a whopping 20 per cent. Compare this to the PIs' market share of 13.8 per cent in 2006, 5.7 per cent in 2005, and 4.1 per cent in 2004. As these numbers increase, so does the pressure on the sales of the authorised distributors or MTA members. And not only those distributors who sell popular PI brands like Toyota, Honda and Suzuki are affected by the boom in grey imports. Other makes, such as Hyundai and Kia, and even Ford and Proton, are also affected because their models are in the same price range as the PI offerings, thus making them face the same fierce competition as the Japanese dealerships. Another way of looking at the relationship between the PI trade and the MTA members is the rough proportion of non-authorised cars to authorised versions. For every one PI car registered so far this year, about four were sold by an MTA member, or 1:4. However, in 2006, this ratio was only 1:6. As expected, the most popular brand of PI car in the first nine months of 2007 was Toyota, with 7,964 units, or 46.9 per cent of all PI models registered. Also as expected, the runner-up brand was Honda with 6,937 units, or 40.8 per cent. Together, these two marques made up 87.7 per cent, or almost nine out of every 10 PI cars sold so far this year - roughly the same proportion as in previous years. But while Toyota was the top PI make, the top PI model was the Honda Stream, with 3,076 cars. This relatively new compact seven-seat MPV continued to trump the ageing Toyota Wish in the sales stakes. The Wish, with sales of 2,376, was the top grey import model here since it appeared in early 2003. The Stream was launched here only about a year ago. One surprise at the end of Q3 was that the No 3 PI model was no longer the Honda Fit, the Japanese domestic model which is available here as the Honda Jazz from authorised distributor Kah Motor. Instead, a new car, the Toyota Corolla Axio, is now the third most popular model with 1,589 units. The Corolla Axio is the Japanese domestic version of the popular Corolla Altis offered by authorised distributor Borneo Motors Singapore. The Axio is made in Japan, while the Altis is assembled in Thailand.
