  1. Anyone know where the best and most economical place to park for going to Hong Lim park this afternoon is? Not too far as my kid might be with me.
  2. Encountered a police road block at about 1pm today outside Yo:ha@jurong. Cop waved me on, but I thought normally road blocks are carried out at night to nap drunk drivers? Saw some motorbikes being stopped by the roadside though.
  3. Today I was exiting from the roof top carpark when I noticed the above scenario. The car was blocking the exit and any SUV or MPV would probably have problems coming out as the space to manoeuvre is limited. The purpose of this thread is not to target at the brand or make but a question which apply to Auto car relying heavily on electronics. As most and more cars relied heavily on it, my understanding that it is still possible to disengage foot/hand brake then put gear to neutral and push the vehicle. Or maybe for this case, it is not advisable as if I am in the same situation, I would push it aside. Appreciate any clarifications on whether one should attempt to push stalled car aside if it is obstructing others. TIA.
  4. was driving along BKE yesterday afternoon somewhere near the Green bridge which is still under construction a white lexus S??7777? bang on the concrete barrier lucky car is at slow speed, just skirting but notice the car bounce probably 2foot high, got one red Mazda3 at the back, lucky very alert, also slow down. suspect driver sleepy and doze off. the lexus driver didn't border to stop n continue with the drive then go to PIE (towards Tuas) anyway just note if this car is on the sgcarmart, do check if the front left suspension, brakers, rim is all in tact n in good condition

  12. Ok, here it goes. While warming my car at my open HDB carpark, I heard a rumbling noise. Thinking to myself, what the hell is it? Suddenly a car pulled up and stopped near where my car was parked. See first pic. Nice! The driver is a uncle in his 60s with a cap. From a RX-7 to a RX-8 and then to a Lambo. He's done it all. So after drooling for a while, I drove away and stopped at a main junction near my estate. Suddenly, saw a lot of smoke and saw a van parked at the road. See second pic. The driver and his gf/wife was frantically use their HP to call SCDF I presume and then suddenly the bonnet suddenly burst into fire. No one had a fire extinguisher so no one did anything. Luckily, a FedEx guy stopped his van and passed a fire extinguisher to the van owner to put out the fire. The lights turned green and I had to move off in order not to obstruct traffic. End of sightings.

  17. Hi, Just saw the aftermath of a terrible accident along braddell road this afternoon 2 Sept 07 approx 3pm. I think a purple color car crashed thru the metal fence centre-divider, knocked down a small tree and hit a Toyota MPV in the opp lane. By the time I drove pass, only saw the aftermath of the destruction. 2 TP motor bikes were park on the road to warn oncoming vehicles... coz the accident vehicles occupied the right lane on a 2 lane road. Could see that the purple vehicle that crashed thru the fence and tree had its front totally smashed. The Toyota MPV was unlucky to get knocked in the front as well! Hope drivers and passengers are not seriously hurt. Drive safely everyone. Cheers
  18. The car is about 3 weeks old and being white, it was the perfect background for stains and defects to exhibit themselves. Swirls were moderate but the stains were bad, they looked like grounded black pepper sprinkled all over the car. Below were the steps taken, 1) Rinse 2) Wash with GC shampoo 3) Rinse again 4) Claybar entire car 5) Dry 6) Wipe down with QD 7) PO106FF with cutting pad 8) CG factory sealant 9) #7 show car glaze 10) #16 professional paste wax 11) NXT metal polysh on rims and exhaust tips 12) TurtleWax extreme shine on tyres 13) CG trim gel on exterior trim
  19. This car is parked outdoors all the time, the tyres + trims were faded and the paint had seen better days. Below are the steps I did, 1) Wash with NXT 2) Claybar 3) Rinse 4) Menzerna PO85RD 3.01 with cutting pad @ speed 5 5) Wipe entire vehicle with QD to remove dust 6) Meguiar's Speedglaze with polishing pad @ speed 4 7) Meguiar's #16 professional paste wax with finishing pad 8) Meguiar's Goldclass Endurance on tyres 9) Meguiars's #40 on vinyl & rubber Before
  20. After seeing Gen2's posts and reading Meguiar's site, felt very inspired to do some waxing. Contrary to what Soya's previous post about the GC wax being very hard to remove, i had the opposite experience. The application was harder than the removal. Maybe cos after reading the site i applied a thinner coat. The Meguiar's Even Coat Applicator (the white furry type) was a breeze to use, recommended! Anyway, the GC wax bottle says "polymer protection", so it is more of a sealant than wax? And Gen2, you're right, there are shinier ways to detail the car, but this is damn tiring compared to wiping with HG88! And on to the pics!!!
  21. This is what happen to my front right tyre
