  2. Hi all Is there a proper way to adjust our car seat to get the best driving position? Can share what you know and what you do? Nowadays cars come with telescopic steering wheel. My ride is equipped with it but I never adjust it all.
  3. Hi Need some advice from bros... I have a kid about 2 years old and another one coming soon. Thinking of buying a new car, preferably an SUV. What I would like to know how to place the child seats (one front facing and one rear facing), bearing in mind the car needs to seat 3 more adults (me, my wife and maid)? If I prefer not to place any child seat in the front passenger or the third row seats, it seems like my only choice is to place them on the second row seats but that would pretty much take up the second row middle seat too. The maid will have to go to third row, which is fine. But would I have to then to remove the child seat at the entry point everytime I need to fold the second row car seat to let her in and out?? How do the rest of you do it?

  10. Anyone can advise me how to apply for the Chairman position now that Dr Tony Tan has officially been VOTED as the President of Singapore and I reckon he has to relinquish his duties at GIC? I'm EN-GEEN-NERING trained and have a very keen sense of numbers and very well versed in financials. I read WSJ and BoomBERG everyday to absorb all latest happenings in the financial world. Lloyd Blankfein is my personal hero since he transpired from a lowly comm trader in GS' subsidiary only to overtake Hank Paulson as CEO. But less people mistake me as gay, I find Christine Lagarde very chio and won't mind being her boyfriend. Yeah so there. Any advice (I got Sam's English lessons from SBF too) will be great.
  11. Does anyone know how to move by DIY the position of the IU from the upper slot to the lower one? This applies to the newer slimmer IU. Tried pulling but the thing is not moving. Wanna move cos cannot see the value due to glare. Thanks.

  13. Found the following on how to test if your car seat position is mechanically sound for your body. Try them out. An Analysis of the Driving Position in the Modern Motor Car. BRYAN MCILWRAITH (http://www.car-seat-data.co.uk/ananlysis.htm) 1) The Praying Test. Sitting in the driver's seat, place the hands together, fingertips and palms touching, pointing outwards from the chest as if praying. The wrists should actually be touching the chest. In this position the hands will form a fairly accurate perpendicular to the body and it should be possible to see if they are pointing at the centre of the steering wheel. If they are not then the wheel may be offset. 2) The Fist Test. With the seat in the normal driving position ( i.e. a position where the clutch can be fully depressed without stretching and the hips well back into the seat) make a fist with the left hand keeping the thumb to the side of the index finger. The depth of such a fist will measure approximately 50mm and it should be possible to place the fist on the crown of the head. If it is only possible to insert the flat of the hand between the roof and head then there is insufficient headroom. 3) The Look Down Test. With both hands placed evenly on the steering wheel look down at the legs. It should be possible to see equal amounts of both legs between the arms. Frequently the left leg will be visible but the right leg will be obscured by the right arm which may indicate that the shoulder girdle is rotated to the left in relation to the pelvis. 4) The Right Leg Test. This test should be performed after driving the car for a short while. Once again, look down and examine the position of the right leg. Is it elevated above the level of the left or has it fallen out towards the edge of the seat? Is the right foot roughly in line with the thigh as it should be, or has it had to come across towards the centre of the car? 5) The Kerb Height Test. Swing the right leg out of the car as though getting out, and place the right foot on the ground. Try and ensure the lower leg (shin & calf ) is in a vertical position. Now look at the surface of the right thigh. It should be sloping down towards the knee. If it is sloping upwards (ie if the knee is higher than the hip) you will have difficulty when exiting this vehicle. If the car can pass these four simple tests then there is a good chance that it is suitable for that particular driver.
  14. Hi, Any bro/sis working as an office facilities position, how is the market now ?
  15. I consider myself a subject matter expert in the following: 1. Marketing Campaign Performance/KPI Scorecard/Tracking 2. Marketing data analytics 3. Marketing leads management 4. Database analytics I have long been interested to pursue an academic career and I do view this as a viable 2nd career option for retirement. I have been with a few leading global MNCs and have track records to prove my experience. Don't have Masters though, just a degree....guess I took the advice of a particular university vice dean couple of years ago...."I wouldn't recommend you take the MSc for applied research in Sociology...you can probably teach some of the modules yourself" I know there's a few lecturers here...do i absolutely need a Masters to lecture in Poly? Any advice/suggestions/tip will be highly appreciated!

Quote:http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,2...641-662,00.html Doug Robertson October 28, 2008 07:00pm A YOUNG man wrecked a Ferrari worth $250,000, but escaped serious injury, when he crashed into a Stobie pole at Walkerville, in Adelaide, today. The driver and his passenger have been taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment after the accident just before noon, AdelaideNow reports. Both men walked from the wreckage, leaving the expensive five-year-old 360 Modena model literally wrapped around the pole on Lansdowne Ave. The car, valued at around $250,000, crashed a few minutes after residents saw it "zinging" past their homes at high speed. "I was outside my house talking and we heard something fly up and it was this black Ferrari," said Vlado, who did not give his surname. "It sounded just like, `zing, zing", as it want past." Vlado said he walked "two blocks" around the corner when he saw a fire truck arrive to see the Ferrari smashed against the pole. He said the men were "lucky to be alive". "The Stobie split the car in tw
