  1. TL:DR – SMRT taxi abruptly stops on lane 1 of an expressway for reasons unknown and causes a massive chain collision in its wake before driving off, oblivious to the destruction it caused behind. There are idiot drivers everywhere Our latest example drives a SMRT taxi. Watch the video below to find out why. Here’s the rear-view camera footage The SMRT taxi abruptly stops just before an ERP gantry on lane 1. The alert cam car driver comes to a complete stop as well. One or two cars manage to avoid crashing into cam car by quickly changing to lane 2 before the
  2. TL:DR – An impatient lorry driver tries to beat the red light at a cross junction but ends up t-boning and wrecking a Mercedes instead. A horrific accident happened earlier today (9th Feb) at 2.23pm at Choa Chu Kang. It could have all been avoided if the lorry driver had shown some patience. Here’s the video: Rekt Not going to go into too many details, but the lorry certainly did a number on the Mercedes. If it were a lighter car, like a Honda Fit for example, it would have been flung down the bridge. How’s the driver? There are n
  3. TL:DR – The title says it all. The owner claims that he ended up paying the $6.52 in the end, and the accumulated fines were due to the inability to navigate slopes at the MSCP because of the GTR’s lowered stance. When you drive an eye-catching car like a Nissan GTR, you’d better be on your best behaviour on the roads. There are digital eyes everywhere! Trying to escape paying carpark fees is not an example of ‘best behaviour’. Here’s the video for a weekend laugh. Updates on SGRV While normal tailgating out of carpark videos can be mundane, thi
  4. Only someone as carefree as this cyclist would care about his plastic bags after getting hit by a motorcycle. The video starts with the cam car slowing down at a junction in Jurong West. As his car comes to a stop, he notices a cyclist ignoring the red-light signal and crossing the junction. At the same time, a motorcyclist enters from the right at a high speed. Unable to stop his bike or swerve to avoid him, the motorcyclist knocks over the cyclist and falls to the ground. Unfazed by the accident, the cyclist immediately rises and gathers
  5. Whoever taught this driver how to drive, what do you have to say now? 😥 There is definitely no way that this is being taught at driving schools. The video starts with a camcar driving along a junction at Geylang Road in the second lane. Intending to go straight after the junction, the driver slowly continues when all of a sudden, a grey car pops out and attempts a right turn. TBH the way he just slides across the junction kind of reminds me of this: A playback of the video shows that the grey vehicle is traveling along the fourth lane of the road.
  6. A cyclist spots a baby pangolin on his usual trip and carefully ushers it to safety in a heartwarming video. On Tuesday evening (July 27), a cyclist was cycling along a dual carriageway when he noticed the baby animal trying to cross the road. Fearing for its safety, he decided to protect the pangolin by gently guiding it towards the kerb. The cyclist mentioned that he had to stop several fast-moving vehicles from turning the animal into roadkill, which earned him a medley of impatient honks. However, he was concerned about the pangolin and ignored the incessantly lou
  7. Earlier this week (Jul 7), a white McLaren 720S was spotted crashed into a row of plants along East Coast Parkway (ECP). Here's new video footage of the crash that just surfaced, via the perspective of a cam car witness: Driver lost control while trying to overtake The video footage here shows the white sports car which skidded from lane 3 to lane 1 while trying to overtake from the left side of the cam car. Close shave with Cam Car The cam car was fortunate enough to drive away unscathed, as the cam car driver was just a few meters behind when the McLaren
  8. In a recent post on STOMP, we find a woman lying down in the middle of the road looking up at the sky. She was initially sitting down along Yishun Avenue 5 before lying down. This unusual incident occurred in front of a bus stop at Block 732 Yishun Street 72 on Monday (May 31), at around 8.40pm. And here are some comments from the stomper who uploaded the images on STOMP. We don't know whether this is an isolated incident or a recurring one so if you're in the Yishun area, please drive with caution and don't mistake the lady for debris. We don't want another hi
  9. TL;DR – A man and a woman harass another couple over a parking dispute in Yishun. No one was hurt, but their childish behaviour is mind-numbing. Just another day in Yishun - Two men and two women engaged in a road rage dispute over parking. Before I carry on, please have a look at this 61-second video. What an ugly start to a video The video begins with an unattractive (to me) lady making faces and flipping the bird at the occupants of a Toyota Altis. From the article published on STOMP, we understand that this was in response to the cam car couple trying t
  10. Are E-Unicycles allowed on our roads? No, if you are wondering. Under the Active Mobility Act in 2019, only bicycles and e-bikes are allowed on the roads while the rest of these devices need to remain on footpath. But that's obviously not an issue to this errant powered-unicycle user spotted on the 19th of May 2021 around 11:14pm at the junction of Toa Payoh Lorong 4 and 5. The cam car driver was annoyed at this male user and high-beamed him when he turned into Toa Payoh Lorong 4. He beamed the e-unicycle rider again when he casually crossed the road as if he wa
  11. Here's something that happened in Fernvale you have to see. According to this minute-long dashcam footage, on 2nd May 2021 at 8:51pm, a driver is seen turning left into Fernvale Link and stopping at the last minute when he realised that there was an oncoming cyclist at the zebra crossing. Despite giving way to him, the cyclist glares at the driver, stops in the middle of the zebra crossing and gets off his bicycle to hurl vulgarities at the driver (we presume according to his aggressive gestures). The poor driver waits for him to finish before completing the left turn and c
  12. TL;DR – Ang Moh cyclist harasses Lexus RX by cycling in the middle of the road, obstructing its path and swerves between cars dangerously. Here’s another reason LTA should come up with some sort of SOP for cyclists to make them accountable for their actions. In this 70-second video, you can see the male cyclist cycling recklessly to harass the Lexus driver. Putting not just himself but other motorist in danger. Cyclist vs SUV The cyclist blocks a Lexus RX on the first lane along River Valley Road near Liang Court. Honestly, I’ve watched the video like
  13. TL:DR – A BMW 2 Series convertible goes over a small, unassuming pothole/manhole that causes its rear end to flip up, lose some parts from its undercarriage and swerve into another lane. It's incredible how a small pothole/manhole can cause thousands of dollar's worth of damage to a car. Here's an example recorded on a video forwarded many times on WhatsApp groups. From the footage, we know that this incident happened on 11th April 2021, Sunday around 5pm. As to where this is, I have a feeling it might be somewhere around Woodlands. But, if you have any ide
  14. In a video submitted to Roads.SG and uploaded on YouTube and Facebook, a recent case of road rage has got me fuming mad with a particular individual. However, I'll try to be as civil and professional as possible. The video was just uploaded about 3 hours ago and has already received more than 100 shares on Facebook. Here's the video, in case you haven't seen it. Video from Road.SG YouTube channel The driver and his mother were entering a HDB estate and driving towards the entrance of a carpark when a white Honda Vezel almost has a head-on collision with their car.
