  1. Teana has been launched for a few months, it will be good if the drivers in this forum can share their experience on the car in terms of: -vehicle handling -engine and transmission -fuel consumption -soundproofing/noise -issues encountered For drivers who have also driven cars in similar class e.g. Accord, Camry, Mondeo, your comparison comments will be valuable.

  3. There are days where I am rushing to go somewhere and would like to take a short cut or step on the pedal. However, this Nissan Sylphy driver took the urgency to another level. before the straight road there is a left turn arrow behind. But after watching 421 times of the clip, I still cannot comprehend how did he maneuver until it got stuck in the pedestrian path. The good thing is that the car looks intact and there are no injuries for this incident. Share with me your thoughts on this incident!
  4. ... If I told you that the occupant walk away from this pile of mass unharmed?! This beyond miracles!!! Ermm anyone wants to guess what model was this? Woman Somehow Walks Away From Folded Car In Shocking Semi-Truck Crash Incredible. No, scratch that. This is beyond incredible. We aren't talking about the severity of the crash, though it's not every day you see a car literally folded in half and crushed by a semi-truck. There was a woman in that car, and she's not dead. In fact, she crawled from the car with hardly any injuries at all. So yeah, what's beyond incredible? Whatever it is, that's what we're dealing with here. This crash happened the morning of November 16, on Interstate 5 in Mount Vernon, north of Seattle in Washington State. According to The Seattle Times, traffic was slowing down on the Skagit River Bridge when this Red Nissan was hit from behind by a semi-truck. There was also a semi in front of the car, and the collision caused the rear of the Nissan to fold over. The semi from behind came to a rest on top of the car. The report says a 46-year-old woman was inside, and looking at the pictures in the Twitter post above would have anyone thinking the worst. Washington State Trooper Rocky Oliphant took the photos and relayed information on Twitter, at first calling it a serious injury accident. But then the semi was lifted from the car, and Oliphant says the woman crawled out under her own power. She reportedly complained of minor pain in her head and ribs, and went to the hospital for further observation. We say it again ... beyond incredible. In his Twitter posts, Oliphant says he's never seen anything like this in 14 years on the job. In The Seattle Times report, he points out the manner in which the car folded could explain how the driver escaped serious injury. The back served as a buffer, protecting the passenger compartment while also giving the semi something of a ramp to slide on. While the crash certainly wasn't lucky, he goes on to call the driver the "luckiest unlucky person." Straight up, this crash is legit spooky. Obviously we're thrilled that the driver escaped with just minor injuries, but we keep coming back to one very basic, haunting question: How? Some would say this steps into the spiritual or supernatural realm, and you know what? Looking closely at these images, we wouldn't disagree. Stay safe out there everyone.
  5. Hi ALL, I'm seeking advice for abnormal sound my car generates. In fact, car generating sound when reverse especially breaking time. ONLY REVERSE TIME! No issue when moving forward or normal driving until 100KM/HR. If 1 - 10 for honk level sound, the sound is pretty noisy @ 4 and worsening. I believe, if something scratching break-disk or somewhere, sound should be heard when moving forward. But my case is different. REVERSE - SOUND FORWARD DRIVING - NO SOUND AT ALL - VERY SMOOTH Before I go & consult with mechanic, please share you experience on TEANA similar abnormal sound. Thank you in advance. Regards. MY CAR SPECIFICATION AND DATA. Make/model NISSAN / TEANA 2.0 XL CVT Year of Manufacture:2015
  6. Dear all, Could anyone advice me find I could find a good deal on the following Nissan Teana parts.Coming to 4 years, the car need the following parts replaced. 1)Front and back Suspension 2)Steering Hub( TC say the joint is leaking) 3) Engine mounting Thank you for reading Cheers
  7. Few months after TC launched this model. I thought it may be good for owners of Teana to share their experience here. Overall driving experience is good, especially when I managed to get 10 KM/l for FC on 2.5 engine. The only issue I have is the 8" touch screen head unit, following is the problems I encountered. 1. Poor radio reception 2. Blue tooth function is bad when making call using my iPhone. Either to noisy back ground noise or bad reception. 3. Speaker humming noise even volume control is set to zero. You will be able to hear it when you switch off your air con & bring you volume control to zero. After visiting TC service center for 3 times, I have learned that even the all new cars that comes with this HU will have the same issue. TC have yet to find any solution. I'm in touch with TC service manager regarding this issues. I keep all bros posted if they found a solution.
  8. Here we discuss how durable is your car ...... So far my 9 year old Latio super durable and long lasting and seldom gives me problem . I am the first owner and so far no major issue except replace radiator at year 8.5 , ignition coil at year 7.5 , front and back absorber at year 7 and air-con compressor at year 6.5 . The main problem in Latio is high usage of battery and mine only last less than 1.5 year , and recently I use Amaron seen can last longer ! My mileage now 210,000 km and all these while been servicing by TC . What about yours ?
  9. Anyone notice why agent stop bringing in Honda Accord 2.4, Nissan Teana 2.5 this year? It's not on their lists. Even MI Subaru Legacy 2.5 stocks is out! Does it mean that only Camry 2.5 is sellable for higher cc Japanese mid size sedan?
  10. After driving conti for sometime, i think i will switch back to Japanese car (used). Anyone had experience with the following: Toyota Mark X (2005 to 2011) and Nissan Teana 2.5 (previous model). The Teana is Japan made right? I don't want to buy a Thai made car. Drivers who owned these before please reply. I like to know the fuel consumption and the reliability of these vehicles.
  11. Hi I bought my first car, a 2000cc conti - 10 years ago. In the blink of an eye, it's time to get a new car and I'm a bit clueless at this. I've been thinking of getting a Japanese car this time round because of the better value retention and also I've been driving Japanese cars during business trips - very impressed. Yesterday, I went to the Mazda, Nissan and Toyota showrooms. Seems like I can get a 1600cc car like an Altis, Maxda3 around 90-99k. However, I also checked and a 2-3 year old Camry or Teana can also be gotten around the same price range. I would like to ask for your opinion - what's the better buy?
  12. Just curious... above affordable Jap luxurious sedan I vote Teana
  13. Which car will you get? 1. 2008 honda accord 3.5 $66k 2. 2008 nissan teana 3.5 $65k 3. 2010 honda accord 2.4 manual $79k I'm driving a "unloved" japanese car now. And I got it rather cheap and value for money. Looking for something bigger now. And the idea is to go for something that isn't too popular but still sort of main stream japanese. The depreciation of the 3 above works out to approx 12k. Yes road tax is higher for the 3.5, but it's alright for the added power. Consumption isn't a major issue as I do not foresee hitting more than 15k km a year, most probably around 13-14k km. these cars are probably very difficult to move for the dealer. So I also intend to bargain some. Also do you guys have any other suggestions for unloved japanese sedans? Don't really need an MPV now even though with 3 kids. I know I could always buy a new toyota wish, which is a safe and boring choice. Depreciation is approx 12.5k-13k.
  14. China verson as: 变速箱 CVT CVT 6AT 轮胎 225/50 R17(米其林) 215/55 R17(米其林) 215/55 R17(邓禄普) Singapore AD import: Accord 2.4L, 175bhp/225Nm, 5 Speed AT Camry 2.5L, 181bhp/231Nm, 6 Speed AT Teana 2.5L, 173bhp/234Nm, X-Tronic CVT Obviously Singapore AD imported low performance cars always, Why?
  15. Hi all The ride of my 3 year old Teana is quite harsh and i suspect the shock absorbers may have been leaking. Does anyone have any experience in terms of changing shock absorber for this car and which brand is better ? OEM vs After market?

  22. Hi guys and gals, Have taken an interest in this car, http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...612&DL=1320 Currently driving a Camry 2.4 and toying with the idea of changing to a vehicle larger V6 engine, dealer offered a pretty good deal on the Camry. Anyone has feedback on the Teana? (besides roax-tax, insurance and fuel economy) Are there any known reliability issues with the CVT gearbox? Have tested vehicle and its characteristics suits my uncle style, smooth drive with plenty of torque available. Thanks.
  23. Hi all, I am looking for Nissan Teana 17 Inch stock Rim, anyone wants to let go? You can PM me if you have one... Thanks.
  24. Saw the Tv news about the man complaining his <1 year old Teana suddenly lost power and braking on the road. Lucky the road not much car, if not it might be worst. He complained to AD. AD say he added the "Fuel conditioner" to his fuel line causing the problem. The Fuel conditioner agent say so far no issues in all the cars he installed. The incident shows that if you want AD to honour the warranty, you should keep the car stock. If not cry father cry mother in Singapore also no use.
