Do i just drive in to any scrapyard or car dealer to do it? 2). Who should i get back my PARF value from?LTA or Scrapyards? 3). The time has come for me to scrap this faithfull little starlet. Its been within the family for the last 8 years...here are the parts for sale. Car is scrapping this friday 12noon. 1. GT seats $150 2. GT brakes upgrade (slotted) $550 3. Rims and tires $300 4. Rado gearknob $40 5. Momo steering + TRD horn button & 100 6. Rear GT lights $70/pair 7. Cusco front strut $70 8. Anyone know how do I buy a car from direct owner? My car is scrapping in 2 months time means that I have to scrap my car before buying car from another owner? If I scrap my car, I will get back a paper instead of cold hard cash right? Any kind soul can advise? How do I get a loan in this case? -
If your are selling your car which is left with less than 1 year COE, the agent will usually take the car at paper value. If you are scrapping it yourself, you might get about $100 extra for the body value. If the car is relatively good, I am willing to buy over for personal use. I will pay you the paper value, plus the remaining road tax, plus a few hundred dollars - definitely slightly more if you sell to an agent or scrap yourself. I can do the transfer of the car from your name to my name. This will be a WIN WIN for both parties. If you are interested, please PM me details. Im not keen on cars that has more than 1 year COE left or less than 3 months COE left. Thank you.

Anyone scrapping their Alfa 147, my fuel tank has a small leakage, we can swap tank if your is in good working condition and will pay you a reasonable amount for the swap. Car will need to be placed at Sin Ming workshop for a day. Let me know via sms 96821504 if interested. Thanks.

I have just pay up my bank's auto loan and is about to scrap the car. In the past, the Log card is used as prove that I have the ownership of the car but now that the bank has send me the original log card a few years ago, how will one know whether the car is still under a bank's auto loan? Appreciate the help. Thanks.

what is the minimum car parts that is needed by the scrap yard to certify a 'Scrapped Car' Status? 1) Just a bare bone chassis and engine casing, both with the serial number? 2) Or just the bare bone chassis is enough? Anyone with experience?

I am scrapping my COE car and I need some help here... From browsing the forums and visiting the LTA website, the things I must do is the following *after paying the full loan and getting the logcard*? * Obtain a Transaction Pin from LTA's office at 10 Sin Ming Drive, Singapore 575701 during our operating hours. * Submit an online application to de-register your vehicle. * Send the vehicle to one of the Appointed Scrap Yard Operators within 5 days of your online application. Otherwise, the application will lapse and you will have to re-apply. My question is, from what I searched and read in previous posts, the COE rebate is non-refundable in cash?? So what do I do with it? I read some posts which say the scrap yard will take 3% if you want cash? Some say 5%... So are the listed scrapyards have a standard price? And how long do they take to refund you? If not what do I do with the paper? Thanks all!

Hi bros, need your expertise on some car issues I'm facing now. My parents are currently staying with me and my dad and myself have our own car. As I won't be driving to work, my dad will be using my car. I advised him to sell his old 190E Merz to save cost. So far I called some of the car dealers in Sg Carmart and the best price I've got is rebate + $1k, but as the dealers' prices vary quite a lot, I would need some help to recommend a dealer who can give me a fair deal. What is the minimum you need to pass to the scrapyard when you scrap your car? E.g Can you take out the speakers, sound system, factory fitted fog lights, etc?
