  2. Ouch. That must have hurt quite a bit for the Honda Vezel driver. Spotted on various Facebook group is this video of a Honda Vezel doing an illegal u-turn at the junction of Telok Blangah Road and Sentosa Gateway on 26Nov 2020. Unfortunately for this Vezel driver, a Singapore Police Force Patrol car was among the cars that had the right of way and needed to avoid the crossover. Naturally, the SPF patrol car turned on its siren and stopped the Vezel immediately... So what can we learn from here? Like what your Army Encik says, if you insist of not following the law, just make sure you don't get caught...

  8. When down to DIY shop to purchased Instant Super Glue and there are so many brands on the shelve. Took one set (a set containing 2 tubes) and paid for it. Upon returning home to use one for repairing my toilet shower room sliding door, to my surprised, that 2 inches (50mm) tube of super glue contain only about 6mm of glue ....... Was squeezing the tube and as I squeezed slowly, nothing came out for the first half of the tube. As such, I proceed further until more than 4/5 of the tube, then only some glue came out. WTF .... one nice looking tube of 50mm & squeezing unitl the last 6mm then only the glue appears and not enough for the job and had to open the other tube which also contain the same amount....... Real piss off ..........

  13. Hi all, Not a promoter for this product but wanna share my experiences using it. I've been detailing my own car using this process 1. Washing 2. Claying 3. Polish (scratches and etc) then waxing. I typically use Soft 99's water repellent which is pretty good, until I saw this Giant selling at about $19.99. Basically, just spray on, wait for dirt to come out, then spread around using any general applicator, then buff off with clean microfibre cloth. Results were pretty awesome!! Water repellent at its best, I even used it on my windscreen/windows/rear windscreen. Not necessary to wash car to use this (which I like), just leaving it on to see how long does the water repellent properties last (since its the monsoon season now). Who else using this?
  14. Has anyone noticed that say for maggi mee, its instant noodle chicken stock is much better than its normal cube or container stock. Any other brand cube or container stock that can match? I think its the same for most brands. Would be a waste to buy the noodles for the stock and throw the noodles away. Best i have managed its to add some oyster sauce the the cube stock.
  15. Found to be safe....although still not good to indulge in such food. ----- Jun 14, 2011 Nong Shim, Nissin instant noodles safe to eat By Jessica Lim Nong Shim's Shin Ramyun and Nissin noodles. -- ST PHOTO: WONG KWAI CHOW and SHAHRIYA YAHAYA INSTANT noodles here are safe to eat, said the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) on Sunday. The reassurance from Singapore's food safety watchdog came after excessive amounts of a cancer-causing plasticiser was found in Chinese-made Japanese and Korean instant noodle brands in Hong Kong. The brands in question: Korean instant noodles Nong Shim's Shin Ramyun and Shin Ramen, as well as Japan's Nissin noodles. The affected samples of both brands were made in China. According to the AVA, Singapore has not imported any Nissin instant noodles from China this year. Any Nissin instant noodles sold here are made in either Singapore or Indonesia, said an AVA spokesman, who added that the agency has tested the Nong Shim brand of noodles here for contamination. 'The AVA has taken samples of Nong Shim instant noodles available in the local retail market for testing. No contamination has been detected in the noodles or the seasoning,' said the agency's spokesman, who added that the Nong Shim noodles here are made in South Korea and China. 'The AVA will continue to monitor the situation closely.'

  17. Have a craving for those Taiwanese Instant Beef Noodle eaten by the boxes while on reservist training in Taiwan during the 1984-90s period. Think the brand is either 'President' or 'Tung 1'. Tried to find them in NTUC, Giant, Sheng Siong, Cold Storage & even shop in Chinatown but to no avail. Anywhere else I can find ? Thanks, Lee

  19. Just don't turn on the air-con whenever you can. My Civic averaged 12km/l, after 1 week of running with as little use of air-con as possible, shot up to 14km/l. Pickup also faster, care feels lighter without air-con on.
