  1. Hi fellow bros and sis, This may sound alittle absurd to share my last sunday car wash experience but I felt that it will be nice to help some folks out there with my story. I was on the way to Vivo city for some weekend shopping with my wife, thereafter I realise the small ride of mine was pretty covered with dirt and grime. Thus,I decided to pop into one of the petrol stations along Pasir Panjang for a wash. Soon I was in the queue of several cars waiting to be washed, I realised it took longer than usual. Upon approaching I realised there were 5 persons washing the car infront of me but the entire process was alittle slow. I then came to senses these folks were from MINDS group,I must commend they are pretty co-ordinated and task oriented. Each was assigned a portion of the car to clean and they really do it with pride. Just do remember if you are within the vicinity and like to have a car wash and time is on your side, pop by to have them help wash your car.Tip them if you feel they have provided you a job well done but not out of sympathy. As all of us know, for some of the petrol kiosks we patronise don't even do a good job compare to these folks Their operating hours are as follows Weekdays : 10am -6pm Weekends : 10am -3pm Let them make your day with a smile Cheers
  2. Bloody hell.. kena my first speeding ticket on this stretch of road after 18 years of driving. $150 and 6 points. Today saw the COP on top again.. fella was using the machine to point at cars from their back instead of those facing him.. darn it.. such underhanded way to meet their target.. I cant imagine the TP gota resort to this means.
  3. "THE National Solidarity Party (NSP) said the Government could do more to liberalise the political landscape by expanding the platform for greater public participation in politics and parliamentary elections. The NSP was commenting on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong
  4. Really sadden to saw this fatal accident between 2 cars this early morning at around 4am, it's along CTE towards SLE, near AMK Ave 5 exit, and while driving pass...saw bodies lying on the road, 2 woman & 1 man.....heart dropped! A lady is trying to give CPR to an injury woman and hear she keeps screaming.....really sadden!!! Not sure it due to drunk diving.... May the deceased soul R.I.P !!
  5. The recently released Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) Draft Master Plan 2013 is also very much a land transport road map supplementing the and contains a strong two-pronged theme - reclaiming the city from the car, and reducing the need to commute, reported The Straits Times. Uncool IMO. Another bad move by the govt. http://www.sgcarmart.com/news/article.php?AID=9238
  6. the entire front of the bus was smashed, and while you cant see it, the windows of the bus were all shattered and people were stuck in the bus ... >< not sure who hit whom...
  7. After picking my wife, turned up to ECP and sheares bridge. Then i saw quite a lot of smoke in my rear view mirror and within seconds i saw a car burst into flames. Couldnt see properly as I was blocked by other cars and also had to mind my driving. Wife turned around and she said it looked like a maroon and old car. Hope everyone in the car is fine. This was on Sheares bridge towards airport, on the downslope toward KPE area, about 6.30pm.

  9. Dear fellow drivers on road, My sec school friends and I have recently lost a dear friend on the road. We are all now looking for answers how this could have happened and hopefully seek closure to this. We appreciate all information or eyewitnesses to come forward with any details on what could have happened. Accident occured on Saturday (19 Jan) morning, believed to be around 0845 - 0915hrs, on KJE towards Tuas, after Changi exit. (Vehicle involved is a Honda Red/White CBR1000) On behalf on his family&gf and all his friends, I really really really appreciate it if there's any kind soul out there who can help to shed some light on this. P.S. I had initially wanted to post this on the General Car Discussion but it wasn't allowed. So I guess its because I am new and does not meet the quota. But I still do hope, this thread would gather some attention. I have a thread in HWZ regarding this as well. I would greatly appreciate it if you would be able to circulate and hopefully one day we can find someone who witness the accident so we can all know what happened. 10. Accident on lane 2 and 3 involving 2 Toyota Crown taxis, 1 Toyota Hiace van and a motorcycle. 2 ambulances at the scene. One of the taxis on lane 3 had its front severely damaged. The other taxi on lane 2 has its rear left side damaged. The van on lane 3 has its rear damaged and saw the motorcycle stuck below the van. Seems a pretty bad accident. Only lane 1 is passable.
  11. Pls advise what is the "intake side of the cylinder head"? Can I request the mechanic to install the spark plug accordingly during servicing? The next time you are doing a tune-up on your ride, be sure to take note of this modification. By simply installing your plugs in a particular way, you will pick up roughly 1 whp, dyno proven time and time again. Index your spark plugs - The idea here is to "aim" the open end of the spark plug terminal (the gap) towards the intake side of the cylinder head. In order to accomplish this, simply mark on the plug a small line to indicate where this gap is. Proceed to install them as you normally would, except when the plug is hand-tight (that is, you've screwed it in without a ratchet as far as it'll go), use your ratchet to tighten the plug until the open end of the plug, faces the intake side of your cylinder head. Try to line up as best as you can. It may require buying 2 sets of spark plugs in order to do this, but hopefully you'll be able to do this the first time. Be careful with aluminum heads not to over tighten, as that could lead to a costly repair. That's it!
  12. Been traveling along CTE, one of the most expensive (ERP rates) road over the last 3 months. Anyone noticed the number of potholes on the CTE Tunnels towards AYE...it seems to get more, deeper and bigger over the last 2 months.
  13. A car overturn along PIE towards Tuas near Chantek flyover this early morning (26 Feb 2013).
  14. Anyone saw the accident after mandai exit on the SLE. Was passing through there on my way home and saw the aftermath. Apparently a 5 series was involved and the whole engine bay is totally gone. Fire engine is also activated there. Wonder what happen that cause such a impact.
  15. Just now pass by the site at 6pm, the broken glasses seem to be part of the cargo dropped from a truck. the debris was pretty huge, covering most of the exit lane + chevron. Hope no one got stuck in that jam
  16. Just passed by, accident site straight after BKE Exit. 1 taxi and 1 car. Taxi front totaled and Private car overturned. Medic was rescuing someone on the ground as I drove past. Drive safe everyone.
  17. Hi all, I met a car accident on 29 Oct 2012 along PIE while filtering out to Adam Road at around 8:15am in the morning. My car was hit by another car from the rear and swerved all the way from Lane 4 to Lane 1 and then hit the divider. I'm seeking help from drivers who are driving along PIE at that time and date of the accident who might have camera installed in their car and incidentally recorded the whole accident. If you do have the accident recorded, I would appreciate your assistance in providing the video. You can send it to me at [email protected]. Thanks in advance.
  18. Just now on way home from Woodlands towards East, was driving along BKE.. no cars around so happily clear carbon.. drove around 150km/hr at the stretch of BKE towards PIE changi where there's a stationery speed cam. Noticed that there are no flash from the cam n also cam facing the opposite direction of BKE towards woodlands. Questions: 1. No flash means no record? Since its already dark as its 1am? 2. Is that cam capturing 1 direction which is BKE woodlands only? 3. What's penalty for speeding above 60km/hr on a 90km/hr expressway? 4. How long will letter appear? Before I'm being lecture for speeding.. I hereby apologise first.. no ill intention, not racing or trying funny stunts.. just driving faster to clear some accumulated carbon
  19. Was driving back home via PIE. lane 1 was very clear. Driving speed around 100~105kmh. Saw a single headlight behind me, must be a motorcycle. It was riding so fast and quite close to me, so I thought he wants to overtake me so I filter to 2nd lane. So dangerous for motor riding so fast at lane one. To my suprise, when he overtook me, I then found out it was TP bike. Heng he never stop me. When he behind me following me closely, I got the intention to drive faster. Luckily I filter. Once he passed me, I filter back to lane 1. From my speedo, can tell they riding at 130kmh> don't know rushing for what.
  20. When I was driving...I didn't really see what happend...A bike knock into the back left corner of a car...I was behind the car which is immediately behind the car involve...I was guessing it is probably the bike ride like they own the road and hit the car back corner...cause the car can't be filtering at that stretch of road..now I am reviewing the video recording...obviously the bike is at fault and he is just looking for "yan lou wang" for the way he ride...I hope he is fine...but I also hope this kind of rider should not be on the road anymore... should I send the video to policeman??? if the driver involve is in here....you need the video...i am most willing to provide you....
  21. Massive jam @ PIE lane 1 towards Changi after Jln Anak Bukit..this happened around 2.40pm..the opposite 3 lanes slowed down due to rubber neckers..picture taken by my passenger as i do not use mobile phone while driving
  22. Maybe you are in the rush of time, came behind me fast n furious on lane 1 and then cut out to lane 3 and back into lane 1 in front of me with only 1 car spacing near steven road exit. u tailgate the taxi so close like u are really rushing somewhere, then u did the same stunt again, cutting out to lane 3 and back into lane 1 with minimal space. perhaps i should forgive u if u are rushing for time. finally near eng neo exit, i saw u cutting out to lane 3 again, this time, u were trying to side swipe a lorry in lane 3 as the lorry refuse to give way to u. i drive pass u and from my rear mirror, i saw that u overtook the lorry and play jambrake stunt.... if u rushing for time, i dun think u will be toying with the lorry. then again, if u wish to toy with a lorry, you must be an idiot anyway... if u wish to get yourself killed, pls dun drag others down with u
