You need to check up your tires from time to time. This is particularly important after usage of tires for more than 1 year. Here are something you should look for when you checking your tires. 1. Tread Pattern of tires whether or not excessive wear, 2. Sidewall of tires - punctures by foreign or sharp objects or poor repair. Or any air leak. 3. Vehicle vibrate while driving could be due to poor balance, poor alignment or mismatch of vehicle steering system and suspension 4. Vehicle Goes to the Left or Right Side on the Flat Road Surface. After checking, then if there is any abnormalities, then send to mechanics.

Hi, i just purchased a c180 from a direct owner. I called CnC today and ask for servicing record and mileage etc however they inform that its confidential to protect ex owner. They can only inform me the last servicing which is last year and even if i want to find out whether mounting or gearbox oil is changed, they cant reveal... it seems that mercedes is the car for dishonest dealer to tweak mileage.... wth...

Hi all, Some time back Eddie posted an article about the PCV and how it functions. It's supposed to control the airflow thru the engine cover, without which air will flow too much during low-rev and cruising (hi vacuum situations) and too little during hi-rev/floored throttle (low vacuum situations). I tried disconnecting the hose connected between the air filter hose and the engine cover, and got this- hi flow during idling but almost no airflow during higher RPMs. Has my PCV failed? Or is the plunger/spring inside sticking? It should be the other way round, i.e. low volume of air being pulled into the engine cover and more air during higher rev. I checked both Iswaras at home and it was the same... can someone check their cars and see whether it's just me? Thanks!

I was quoted $900 just for 4 months extension. I am driving a bread and butter Civic not some WRX or EVO. Yes I had a side swipe incident early this year but the claim amount was 3K, not those heavy repairs or total lost kind. Some of the items was not even repaired because it wasn't due to the incident. Insurance companies are just giving out quotes so they could have double digit growth in profit every year. If the authorities can look into kopitiam trying to profit 10 cent from every cup sold why can't they look into insurance companies or workshop who writes their own pay cheque?

Recently, I have been fined for parking on the double yellow line. The issue now is this. The fine is non compoundable so I have to wait for the letter to arrive to me. It has been five days since the offence (it happened on the weekend) and I have not received the letter. I have checked URA, HDB and TP websites and there is no record of my fines. Is it possible that they forgot? Just asking.

any rules? I know it may sound stupid, but recently checked in to a hotel for work sharing room with a collegue, I learned many things. First he knock the door, then flush the toilet bowl, then let the water run for a while and finally mess the bed. I ask him why but he did not tell me on the spot. I think many people knows the "rules" upon checking in to hotel room but............... Does all this work? Or we are just paranoid? Have your say and share.

Is there any down side to checking yourself into IMH for a few times? For reasons like depression, mental blocks, having illusions etc... So that in case when you get into trouble with the law in future, you will always have this IMH case to possible reduce your sentence. I guess this will not apply to civil servants. But how about the rest?

Today at 1:45pm, all cars were diverted to the lorry lanes for thorough checks although there were no jams. Thorough check by Police at first then proceed to scan passport and there were dedicated officers station outside and read out and see the faces of all people inside the car. What happended????? But this has to be the fastest time through checkpoint.

Hi, I was just looking around for a convertible for the missus, and came across one which she has quite taken a fancy to. Price was good, certified as 'A' for inspection, etc; except that when I started the engine. The idling rpm was 1500 approx. Is this normal? The car has a manual transmission. What could be wrong with the car? Anything else I should check? thanx!

checking interest for the following rims: 15", pcd 4x100, slight scratches only on 1 rim. condition 8.5/10. might be selling cuz intending to get a set of OZ superleggera..however owner requires a swoop me but felt its a waste for this set of rims to go for export. will be keeping my potenza G-III if possible and u can take the Turanza GR80 195/60/R15(abt 70% left according to seller). requires a swoop wif ur old rims! thanks..

Met another 100% cheesebun driver in Clementi area today. Drive fast in a carpark, then suddenly stop and reverse your black Lancer without checking your rear! If I had reacted a little slower... you would have knocked into my car... and I bet you will tell your parents and insurance that I rear-ended your car. Without signaling your intention to park, nor did you stopped your car in a slanted position, you think the whole world can read what your little pea brain is thinking! I know you have 2 lady passengers in your car, please don't try this kind of stunt in a public carpark to impress the opposite sex this way. You will get into trouble someday....and when you do, please dont involve other innocent drivers. If you can't drive and talk to ladies at the same time, then I suggest you take a cab or drive without any passenger. The only reason I can think of why you never bother to check before reversing are: 1) you have 2 really chio lady passengers onboard 2) lady passengers were showing off some parts of their body to you 3) You had a sperm-clogged brain after looking at them while driving! axxh0l3 driver!
