juz to start a discussion..... i've read somewhere i can't remember regarding head/neck restrainer. the article said that it is supposed to help the head/neck from getting injuries in the event of accident n it's not supposed to be used as a head/neck rest. but usually, i see ppl resting their head on this while driving n the seating position is rather awkward. n these ppl i usually observed r the kind of ppl who dun care the surroundings n other road users like driving slow in the fast lane, not signalling while changing lanes n never even bother to check their blindspots...n when i looked at them, dunno if they r awake or asleep... i tried doing that n it's diff to drive that way wif the seat declined backwards..mayb u guys got a diff view....

Pls advise what is the "intake side of the cylinder head"? Can I request the mechanic to install the spark plug accordingly during servicing? The next time you are doing a tune-up on your ride, be sure to take note of this modification. By simply installing your plugs in a particular way, you will pick up roughly 1 whp, dyno proven time and time again. Index your spark plugs - The idea here is to "aim" the open end of the spark plug terminal (the gap) towards the intake side of the cylinder head. In order to accomplish this, simply mark on the plug a small line to indicate where this gap is. Proceed to install them as you normally would, except when the plug is hand-tight (that is, you've screwed it in without a ratchet as far as it'll go), use your ratchet to tighten the plug until the open end of the plug, faces the intake side of your cylinder head. Try to line up as best as you can. It may require buying 2 sets of spark plugs in order to do this, but hopefully you'll be able to do this the first time. Be careful with aluminum heads not to over tighten, as that could lead to a costly repair. That's it! -

well guys hope someone can help yesterday when about to go home from work i start my car as usual but this time round the rpm shoot to 3k it stay there until i switch off the engine tot the throttle cable stuck or something tried to play with the throttle when the engine is off start again still the same only after the 4th start then the rpm drop back as usual anyone knows what's the cause? today start the car looks like normal

Just wondering if we can do it on our own, the manual says that have to send to the service center. i remember changing the bulbs on the Tody was really simple, but with the Supy, there seems to be alot of stuff in the way behind the headlight. do we remove the whole headlight to change the bulbs? pls advice, bros thank you lah!

I actually DIY installed my amps. Here's what happen... When i off my headlight, everything is very fine... when i on it, there will be this hissing sound on both front and rear components... What problem could it be?

Hi bros, I'm must say I'm pretty new in ICE and i really need help in some stuff. Well, I'm currently shopping around for DVD players in the car and due to budget constrains, I've been looking for second hand head units. I've been quoted $1500 for the following: A second hand Pioneer AVX-7000 together with AVM p9000r(i assume?) and a XDV-p90 DVD changer. I think it also includes an analogue tv tuner but i don't know the details of it. Can you guys please advise? I'm also looking at first hand JVC KD-AVX1 and Pioneer DVH P-5850MP then intend to add a monitor to it or something. Any guys have any experiences with the sound quality of them? Please advice. Pardon the long thread. Hee...

Hi, I have not been driving for 6 years now, but my new ride is coming on Thu. Just wish to hear some opinions on reverse parking. I got my license in the States and was taught to use the mirrors and also to turn my head when reversing my car into the parking lot. But when I return to SG, I notice many of my friends just use the mirrors w/o turning their heads AT ALL (which is surprising to me). Can someone advise if just relying on the mirrors is good enough? Thx. p.s. apologize for the novice qtn, but have not driven for a while, so you know...

I helped my friend replace engine oil for this 2002 Ford Focus (in USA, 2.0 ZETEC engine). He has about 60k km on his car, and I found that the middle part of the engine is oily, to the point of forming drips. This is observable near/under the exhaust manifold area. Valve cover, oil pan, front/rear seals are completely dry. Does this mean the head gasket is bad? Is this a common problem?

Hi, Currently my car has a Sony head unit. not too sure about the model. I was wondering that if i were to buy another Sony head unit, lets say something that can play MP3. Will i still be able to use the connecting cables at the back? Secondly, the cables at the back connected to the head unit. Is it just solely for Sony head units only? Cos i saw a Pioneer head unit that its rather good and im tempted to get it too. Thanks

Some diy work on the lightings. Note they are not dark tint but spray black on some parts of the interior...keeping the outer lamp cover clear.....wondering if tis offending to the white ants.

Din know using a harmless tissue paper to wipe the head lamp can result in some swirl marking. esp more obvious when on head light. Any details guru can kindly advise how to manage and remove the swirl.
