Just having a random thought about getting blind-spot mirrors(round button-like) and technically it seems like a good device/aid to have. But i'm just wondering if it really does help for the lookout given the small area used on your side mirror? It seems like nobody uses them at all.

Anyone tried repairing it before? Which shops specialise at it? The track seems to be out of alignment on mine. It's not moving though it makes grinding sound.

There seems to be no thread on blind spot sensor system, so I thought I start it so we all can learn from one another. This thread is for discussion on where to get one, not whether it's useful or not (that's a whole topic by itself ;-) ) It seems to me it's not easily available in Singapore. I have not found a shop that supplies any model. Today I was doing a right turn at junction of Bedok North Road / Bedok Reservoir Road towards PIE at around 810am. Red lights and right turn signal was in my favour and a speeding honda edix (i think) in opposite direction zoomed past fast around 2 secs after red. I was slowly moving off as my view of the oncoming traffic was blocked by a turning big sand truck (on my left) and luckily i didn't rush. I assume my car will be total loss and me + my pregnant wife dead if we had collided. You could have orphaned our little 3 year old gal. KNNBCCB. If you are in this forum, I hope you DON'T REPEAT THIS STUNT AGAIN. Anyway I got video... will review tonight and submit to TP (although i do not think that the license plate can be captured) BUT..... that junction got junction eye. Drive safe guys and gals.

He is visually handicap and is a father of 4 children. For the past few years he has been busking at CWP and Civic centre. Woodlands. He has NAC license for it. Sometimes back he has been harassed by Edmund Chong Kong Lum from Woodlands MRT. This idiotic of a guy try to exert his authority by ordering Suhaime to move away from the usual place he used to play. Suhaime would comply. If not he would call the police. This harrassment got so bad that a police report has been lodged against him but it still continued. I will copy and paste the convoy I had with his wife. By the way when he played its not even on SMRT Ground. following are her PM's "We've been tolerating this far too much. We did go to MPs to seek advice n help. As a responsible man, Suhaime just want to earn a living by trading his talent for the family. Insyaallah." TODAY AFTER I LEFT THE STATION, HIS WIFE PM AGAIN "He came again. Demand to see Suhaime's busking license. He want to make report to NAC tomorrow. We refused to give. Told him that he got no right to see as we are not in his ground. He said he will call the police. We told him to go ahead..." "He call Transcom Policeman. They also agree that it's not MRT ground." "Just now, he's not happy when Transcom Police refuse to give Suhaime's particulars because the policemen said that Suhaime is not MRT ground. He call NPC. NPC came n told him the same thing. Our friend still not happy:, when the Transcom Policemen refused to give Suhaime's particulars to him, he took down the Policemen's particulars? What was he up to? Is he trying to manipulate with the Police too? "Even the CWP staff talk to him. He wants to show his power" UNQUOTE In one of the pictures you would see he very the kurang ajar put a barrier in front of Suhaime while the other picture is he standing threateningly. This has been going on for 2-3 years by the same person. Siti Aisah Sawie please feel free to share more. We are all here for you and Suhaime Roa Ok Guys please help to stop this! Together we have a duty to make a difference to someone in need of us now!

Happened in front of Princess Elizabeth Primary, Bt Batok. Truck and taxi conveniently rolled across the red lights... i thought small case never mind, the third one lagi best. almost knock down the indian guy. got all 3 vehicle numbers, sending all to TP! it's the start of the lunar 7th month, whether driver or pedestrian, stay safe and drive safe everyone!

Hi all, anyone using this as shown in the picture? Am thinking of getting a pair for my car particularly for my left side mirror, as my right side i can just tilt my head and take a glance quickly. Left side abit difficult as i will need to turn my head entirely to check for blind spot. I suppose Autobacs have it. Any particular brand/type to recommend? How do we 'attach' this blind spot mirror onto the side mirror by the way?

Sorry i can't find the link yet. I saw it on my mobile phone news but could not find a corresponding article from my PC. Anyway a blind man molested a 14yr old boy who was helping him cross the road (happen here in SG and no, it is not FT). There are a few details which are quite wierd (obvious one is 14yr old can't escape from a blind man?) but i will wait until can find the link....or if someone can find can me paste the link here. But this is a very WTF story.... really hao xin mei hao bao....

How can anyone continue to drive on a highway whe they have their hood up making visibility almost/completely impossible? Well, this lady can...and she doesn't seem intimidated by it. In fact she doesn't want to stop, definitely in a hurry (maybe a hairdresser appointment). Probably the worst driver in New Hampshire

I parked at Geylang Bahru Blk 50plus carpark.. I saw the whole row was red parking lots for season parking.. so i drove right to the end where white lots were available.. it was 930pm, so I used a half-hour coupon, and 4 one-hour coupons even though I am not parking overnight. I knew I might leave abt 12-1am.. I came back after my visit, to see an offense ticket.. I read the details and he indicated that I parked without a valid SEASON PARKING ticket! He must be farking blind to not see those are white lots.. Or he didnt know red are strictly for season parking ticket holders? Or I am not aware that now I cant park in white lots as they are now just like red lots for season parking ticket holders only too? Frustration! I now need to call hdb to clarify and to appeal.. need to call, being put on hold for many minutes, then write in.. all for an offense I didnt commit! And this Iskandar Bin Mohd Ismail is from Chubb.. Doesn't Chubb train them to differentiate red and white?

A Turkish singer just set a land speed record, making him the fastest man on the planet when his Ferrari F430 averaged 182 miles per hour during a record run down a runway at an airport in eastern Turkey. Now, if 182 mph doesn't sound fast enough to set a world land speed record, know that the driver was blind... and alone in the car. Metin Senturk became the fastest blind man driving solo with his Guinness-verified speed of 292.89 kilometers per hour (182 mph). Senturk was followed down the runway by his driving coach, former rally driver Volkan Isik, who relayed instructions to Senturk via radio. The driver is a pop singer in Turkey who has been blind since the age of three. He said that the record run, "was really hard, like a dance with death." When Senturk emerged from his borrowed car, he was told by the Guinness people that he had bested the old record of 284 kph, held by a British bank manager. In case you were wondering, this unaccompanied record is about 20 mph slower than the record set by Hein Wagner of South Africe, who had his coach riding shotgun when he drove a Mercedes-Benz SL65 Black Series to a tick over 200 mph last October. -

This topic was 'inspired' by the earlier thread in the General Car Discussion on "cabin light on while driving." I have have been wondering why the stewardess and steward keep asking the passenger to pull up their window blind in the plane during take off and landing during day time and night time. Anyone got an answer?
