  1. Covid has lasted a long time and many of us have not traveled. I hope to get my wife and maybe myself a treat, but we don't really want to go out, so I hope to get recommendations for good massages services that visit you, if they can provide some kind of spa or even hair treatment, please send them over? And no james, not 'that' kind ok? Nice and pleasant, even visually handicapped ones are ok, but I'm not sure if they do takeouts.. I did my own google, but I really have no experience with them and would like to hear from others who have tried their services: https://dailyvanity.sg/beauty-reviews/home-massage-services-singapore Will prefer a standard oil massage, head to toe. Thanks! PS: I considered a massage chair, but I don't really have the space and it's not something we do often enough to justify the Andy Lau chair...
  2. Hello bros, I like to check if any one of you here uses hair shampoo that will aid in increasing the hair volume. Does it really work ? Any recommendations ?
  3. I mean which type of barber / hair saloon you go, not which part of your 'hair' you cut. I go the $10 coupon type... they advertise can cut finish in 10mins, but i timed and it always takes longer... but the place is always quite clean and some xmm there quite chio also... like to hear them chant "konichiwa..." I think some bros here spend $40 or more for their haircut (maybe plus extra service also)??
  4. Friends This is almost a medical emergency .... No barber for another six weeks!! The longest I've gone without a visit to the local Indian barber is about 4 weeks. Not that I've much left, but I like it need... So it's now an emergency... does anyone know how to do a decent haircut? I'll even go online and buy the gear... Very soon there will be underground barbers ... like the prohibition times...

  7. Anyone else here trims their nostril hair? I am someone who gets incredibly disturbed and distracted if I see another person (male/female) having nostril hair sticking out while I am talkimg to them face to face. So I myself will make sure I do not have these hair visible from my nostrils. Used to secretly "borrowed" my wife's eyebrow plucker to pluck those stray nose hairs. Never fail to bring wetness to the eyes with every plucking. Then I also secretly "borrowed" my wife's eyebrow scissors to try trim the nostril hairs. Much better but takes abit of dexterity to get the angle right for the snip. And then I found this: Just stick it into the nostril and move it around the walls, quick 1 minute job can last me a month.....

    Hair Pomade

Anyone using hair pomade here? Any favourite brand that you use for styling?
  12. I think I am old school, but I feel that the parents should take this as an opportunity to cut the hair of the child. Not sure if there is such a thing as pre-school humiliation, can't really remember much of what happened at pre-school. To be honest, his hair is really long and unkempt. I wouldn't like it if my child has a pre-school classmate with this kind of hair. There may be better options but I for sure do not want the teacher to be so restricted when attempting to teach life lessons for children. It's more likely the parents rather than the child felt humiliated. What do you think? http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/pre-school-teacher-in-hair-clip-saga-to-remain-at-centre Pre-school teacher in hair clip saga to remain at centre A back view of the six-year-old involved in the incident. His teacher found his hair too long and clipped it with a girl's hair clip. The incident came to light after another teacher noticed his "abnormal and despondent" behaviour, his father said in a Facebook post.PHOTO: COURTESY OF MADAM SWEE Nicole Weers Malavika Menon A pre-school teacher who put a girl's hair clip on a six-year-old boy in front of his classmates will continue to teach at Zoo-phonics School's Serangoon Central branch. This follows an internal investigation into the matter that blew up after the boy's father posted about the incident publicly on Facebook, sparking a debate on ways to discipline children. In a five-page letter to parents yesterday, the school said: "The management believes that Teacher Theresa is deemed fit to continue teaching at Zoo-phonics School (Serangoon)." The boy's mother, who wanted to be known only as Madam Swee, 35, said she and her husband are now deciding on whether their son should continue to attend classes at the centre. school.jpg Related Story Pre-school teacher suspended after parent complains about 'humiliating' punishment The incident took place on July 5 and the boy's father, Mr Eric Cheong, 37, shared it on Facebook on July 9. The post has since been shared more than 2,000 times. Mr Cheong said his son had been humiliated. Following the incident, Ms Theresa was temporarily suspended while investigations were carried out, according to Zoo-phonics director Vincent Teoh. After viewing closed-circuit television footage, the school said yesterday that the teacher had summoned the boy, borrowed a hair clip from a female pupil and put it on him. Turning him to face the class, she then spoke about how much neater he looked. The school said the child had worn the clip for only 50 seconds, and that his parents had blown the matter up. After consulting other parents, it said it found that most wanted the teacher to stay, with only some parents in the boy's class seeking a change in teacher. Zoo-phonics acknowledged that "some parents regarded her teaching methods as "old school", and said the teacher had been counselled. However, Madam Swee remains upset. "Humiliation for one second, two seconds or 50 seconds is still a humiliation which caused everyone he knows and sees daily to laugh at him," she said.

  23. Singapore men are scared of losing their hair. Many say their hair gives them self-confidence, and they would be upset if their hair started to thin. -- PHOTO: DR EILEEN TAN SINGAPORE men are scared of losing their hair. Many say their hair gives them self-confidence, and they would be upset if their hair started to thin. Singapore women also say they prefer men with a full head of hair, especially if the men are young. Older men, they say, should shave their heads completely, instead of opting for a comb-over if their hairlines recede. According to a survey by Merck on male pattern hair loss, Singaporean men were the most sensitive to hair loss amongst Asia Pacific countries, with seven in ten Singaporean men thinking that thin hair would make them unattractive to the opposite sex.
