  2. Hi all. I have been observing that my HDB flat water pressure has been slowly dropping as the months go by. I suspect the HDB is slowly shutting the water valve controlling the water pressure to save water. Now the pressure has become so bad that if my washing machine is running, someone is using 2 other taps in the house, I got hardly any water for my shower in the Master Bedroom Toilet. I called them ysterday n ty sent a plumber who said his "meter" shows the pressure abt 2.2 bar is "good" n he cannot do anything. He checked my taps n said the filters r clogged n ask me to clean them. I did that but still the pressure is very low unlike when I moved in abt15-20 years ago when the water was spraying like a fire hose. I cud take a quick shower in 10 mins b4. Now takes at least 20 mins.

  4. Unit at The Marq sets S$6,850 psf record 20 Dec 2011 PropertyGuru The recent cooling measures which require foreigners buying private property in Singapore to fork out an additional 10 percent stamp duty, is expected to curb skyrocketing property prices. And if recent transacted prices at certain luxury developments are anything to go by, the new measures could not have come at a better time. A prime example is The Marq on Paterson Hill. The latest deal involved a 2,950 sq ft unit on a high floor which was sold to a European buyer for a whopping S$6,850 psf, a new record for Singapore

  9. Dropping jail term 'one-off': Judge 05:55 AM Apr 14, 2010 SINGAPORE - A woman who drove a car without a licence because she wanted to get her son a toy successfully appealed yesterday against being sent to jail for the offence. Housewife Catherine Peter, 41, had in January been sentenced to six weeks' jail, fined $500 and disqualified from driving for four years on charges of driving without qualification and for other traffic offences. Her driving licence had been suspended for two years because of a drink-driving incident in April last year. In the August incident, Peter, the wife of a commercial airline pilot, had driven to a nearby mall when her six-year-old son, complaining of an earache, demanded that she get him a toy scooter. She decided not to wait for her husband and, after several fruitless attempts to get a taxi, drove to the mall, the court was told. Appealing to keep her out of jail, lawyer Naresh Mahtani said Peter had to take care of her children, aged six and nine, while her husband was away on flight assignments. Justice V K Rajah decided to set aside the jail sentence, saying that Peter was not likely to repeat the offence. He added that "this decision does not signify the present judicial status ... but it is a one-off case that commands a departure from the norm". Peter had paid the fine imposed earlier for drink driving, served five days in jail and been disqualified from driving. She now has to pay a fine of $2,500. Her four years' disqualification from driving stands. Ng Jing Yng

SIMPLY BECAUSE COMPETITION IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS EVERY KIOSK SELLING AT SAME PRICE ... HOW TO COMPETE??? REWARDS POINTS ETC ... ALL ALMMOST THE SAME ... HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE AT LEAST WHEN I'M DRIVING AROUND IN AUSTRALIA, I CAN REALLY SEE KIOSKS SIDE-BY-SIDE WITH DIFFERENT PRICINGS ... FAKE COMPETITION ... SIGH

  16. Hi, Recently I have black rubbery stain on my window. Thought was some bird sxxt. Later did I found out that the sound proofing material inside the door panel has fallen out thus the sticky bitumen faced the window panel. Question 1)I paid $250 for (2layer x2)from a reputable shop in Singapore in 20/12/06. And the material so call is the best in their range. Is it normal for it to drop out. 2)What is the option do I have. Take out everything and repaste again? Will it drop out again. Thanks for the advise. May go down to the shop to see what will they say since it has been 1 year plus going to 2 years.

  19. I am just wondering if there is a traffic rule to prohibit a car to stop and drop a passeger near a bus-stop. I have been dropping my wife just in front of a bus-stop where the marking on the side is a double yellow line and is not marked as a bus lane. Just this morning, an SBS bus was right behind me and the bus driver kept honking at me for stopping my car to drop my wife along a double yellow line about 5 meters in front of the bus-stop. I wonder why ??
  20. Dear all, Check this video out...your jaw will drop... I wonder what car is in front...I think and hope is the RS4

  23. Hi bros.. just wanna confirm.... will we get fine if we enter the bus lane to the bus stop to drop or picked passengers up, even for that split seconds? Coz technically, yes, we have entered the bus lane during its operational hours. But then, we are only dropping and go mah.....
  24. See this article at Autospeed. http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_2232/article.html If you want a drop-in K&N, better to rip the thing out for an open pod. Seems like I am right. At the end of the article it says to alter the flow into the airbox. So taking out the snorkel/resonator would be it if performance is desired.
