Our Circuit Breaker measures sure bring up quite a few weird incidents. I mean why would you even cycle in an expressway tunnel? As seen on ROAD.sg's website, it did seemed like someone cycled along our Marina Coastal Expressway on the 9th of April and was stopped by a Special Operation Command Police vehicle. As uncommon as it is to see a cyclist on an expressway, it is even rarer to see someone from the SOC stop a traffic offender as it is not part of their job scope. Singaporean driver pays RM28,000 in traffic fines in Johor Bahru JOHOR BAHRU: A Singaporean man paid outstanding fines of RM28,000 (S$9,200) in Johor Bahru on Sunday (Sep 29) after he was detained by the police. The man, who is in his 60s, has had 116 traffic summonses issued against him since 2000, said Bukit Aman traffic investigation and enforcement department deputy director Mohd Nadzri Hussain. A total of 3,174 fines were settled during the three-day operation, with Singaporeans making up 2,687 of the figure. “As of this morning, we managed to collect about RM611,000 in traffic fines and summonses at both locations," said Mohd Nadzri, adding that the amount collected is expected to reach RM75,000 by midnight. JOHOR BAHRU: A Singaporean man paid outstanding fines of RM28,000 (S$9,200) in Johor Bahru on Sunday (Sep 29) after he was detained by the police. The 10th series of the operation which involved 116 personnel was conducted at the Gelang Patah R&R, Iskandar Puteri and at Muzium Tokoh, Jalan Lingkaran Dalam. There have been 247,278 outstanding traffic summonses recorded since 2000, said Mohd Nadzri. He reminded traffic offenders to check the status of their summonses and make payments at two kiosks at the traffic division office of the Johor Bahru selatan district police headquarters. For Singaporean drivers, payment can also be made at AXS machines. “Payments can also be made at the COPS traffic counter at all district police headquarters and summons checking can also be done through MyEg portal at www.myeg.com.my and rilek.com.my,” he said. Mohd Nazri said once the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) comes into force, traffic offenders from Singapore must first settle all their summonses before being allowed to return. Bro and sis, Currently there was an operations at Gelang Pata R&R to stop Singapore car to check summons own to them. Payment is by cash or credit card. I pay RM$300 for 2 speeding offend occurred in Batu Pahat on 13/3/14 and 1/5/13. I was not stop then. Anyway, I prefer to pay fine than paying bribe. The issue receipt after the fine is pay.

Hi, Out of curiosity, can anyone share with me the operation of PI especially from the buyer's perspective? I have minimal knowledge how AD operates but none on PI. Generally, after a customer signed the contract and assuming it is 3 guaranteed COE bids, which translates to 1 & 1/2 wait for the new car. Next, they will send in the loan application(if applicable) and the results will be known within 3 days. I know they neither bid for the 1st nor 2nd round and will only act in the last bidding unless they already have Open Cat COE. Any particular reason? Do they need to send every JDM models to LTA for testing/inspection? I thought only those cars hovering 97kw need "dynamometer test"? Pls enlighten me? Pls share with me more details so that I can learn more. Thank you very much.

First five digital traffic red light cameras start operations on Mar 1 POSTED: 27 Feb 2014 23:19 The new digital cameras do not require constant reloading and retrieval of the wet-film negatives for back-end processing, and are designed to stay operational 24/7 to detect motorists who attempt to beat the red light. SINGAPORE: The first five of the digital traffic red light cameras installed by the Traffic Police will start operations on March 1. The Traffic Police said last December that it has started installation and testing process for the first five units of the Digital Traffic Red Light Camera System at the following locations: - Victoria Street by Arab Street towards Lavender Street - Victoria Street by Ophir Road towards Bras Basah Road - Victoria Street by Rochor Road towards Lavender Street - Lavender Street by Jalan Besar towards Balestier Road - Ophir Road by Beach Road towards ECP Police said these five units have all been installed at the respective locations and will begin operations from 1 March 2014 at 0001 hours onwards. The Traffic Police also reminded motorists that beating a red light attracts a fine and 12 demerit points against the traffic offender. The Ops Cantas Khas Trafik crackdown has already begun with the police rounding up habitual traffic offenders first. The operation commenced in Ipoh and saw traffic policemen going “door to door” to bring in motorists with more than two warrants of arrests and more than 15 unsettled summonses. The first operation was conducted between 3pm and 6pm on Thursday. Nationwide operations, which will see the police stopping motorists at roadblocks, will commence next week. “We are targeting the habitual offenders first,” Acting Federal Traffic chief Senior Asst Comm Mohd Fuad Abd Latiff told The Star yesterday. He advised the public not to be alarmed as the habitual offenders would still be given a chance to settle the summonses despite being picked up. “The objective of the operation is to get the offenders to pay up,” he stressed. SAC Mohd Fuad said the police had prepared the warrants of arrest for 251,000 traffic offenders. “We are going ahead with roadblocks mounted nationwide to arrest errant vehicle users from next week. “After being arrested at a roadblock, the motorist will be brought to the police station and if he or she refuses to pay the summons, the person will be released on police bail with one surety,” he said, adding that the police would then apply for a new court date for the individual to either challenge the case or plead for a lower fine. He said all preparations ahead of starting the roadblocks had been completed. “We want to ensure that all state police contingents will be ready to carry out the operations successfully,” he said. Asked about public complaints over difficulties in checking summonses on the official police online portal, SAC Mohd Fuad said there were many alternatives to do so, including through www.myeg.com.my, www.rilek.com.my, post offices and at Maybank ATMs. “The public can check at selected shopping malls or go straight to any traffic police counter. They can even check at the Road Transport Department branches,” he said. It was previously reported that the number of traffic offenders had been growing each year and along with that the number of motorists who were ignoring their summonses. In 2008, traffic police went after 96,000 vehicle users with unsettled summonses under Ops Warta VII but as of now, the figure had shot up to more than 1.7 million. Unable to go after all of them at once, police are targeting over 251,000 errant motorists, heavy vehicle drivers and motorcyclists in the first stage of Ops Cantas Khas Trafik. Hi Folks, For many years, I have been bugged by my sensitive nose problem. I tend to have running nose easily and if it is not well-taken care of, it will result in more problems such as sore throat, cough and fever. The problem can be recurring. Thinking of going for a nose operation and have the problem resolved once and for all. Does anyone have any experience with such a nose operation? What is the cost, procedure, operation duration, side effects etc? Would appreciate your sharing of information. Many thanks.

Was at Thomson Road(opp Wee Nam Kee Chicken Rice) when I could have counted at least 50 TP mobile went past in groups heading towards Velocity Square. Unless these go around Balestier Rd and then return to Thomson Rd, it might as well counted 70. Anyone encountered them?

ADVERTISEMENT Ganga Shrestha, eight, died after admission to hospital on Monday with meningitis, The Straits Times reported. "I will always remember her feisty spirit... At least now, her spirit is free of her disabled body," Singaporean neurosurgeon Keith Goh was quoted as saying by the newspaper. He was one of the lead surgeons on the team which separated Ganga and her twin sister, Jamuna, during a 97-hour operation in 2001, the paper said. The children were joined at the head when they were born. Singaporeans raised more than 660,000 dollars (now 484,000 US) to help the babies, and the surgeons waived their charges. The operation left Ganga with brain damage and Jamuna unable to walk, the newspaper said, adding that three years ago they returned to Singapore for additional treatment. Then they returned to Nepal. Jamuna drags herself around on her arms. Schools in Kathmandu have refused to enrol her because part of her brain is still unprotected by bone, the newspaper reported. It quoted her grandfather as saying she finds it hard to accept the death of her sister, and cannot stop crying.

i remember few years ago there were tis operation done on e rear muffler,where they open it up n do "something" to it.there after they weld it back ago n put it back.it claimed to ve a better flow at e convenient of using back e stock muffler.Is tis "operation" still in practice?Any comment on tis modification

I heard that now TP deploy "Scarecrow" on the bridge to deter people from speeding. They usually have their dummy camera, no-uniform standing on the bridge. Some smart ass must have heard the Class95 story when Glenn Ong mentioned that an old man wearing white standing on the bridge looking at the traffic actually caused a traffic jam bcos everyone tot it was the TP.
