Legacy led light from previous owner died. Went up to swap. Interestingly dunno why got burn mark as shown. Should have taken a lot less time but guess what. While installing the new one up. One of The spring lever came loose and sprung off somewhere into the false ceiling. Had to remove one from the old one and figure out how to twist it to work on the new one.

All the ailerons, flaps and vertical stabiliser are moved by wire since decades ago on passenger jets. The actual movement is still by hydraulics though, due to the high forces involved. The days when hydraulic pipes and tension wires that ran from the cockpit across fuselage to the wings and tail are long gone. I have sat in an old plane where the internal plastic that lined the fuselage cracked with a hole. I could put my hand in touch the steel wires that were moving the flaps. Only airline, so no choice.

A touchscreen is something the Chinese customer expects, like using an ipad. The experience must be close to using his / her handphone with a similar interface, swiping, voice etc. Plus putting everything on a screen sans buttons makes manufacturing and updates easier, saving costs for the maker..
