  2. Hi guys, just want to get your feedback on the car tracking system? www.cartrack.com.sg I am travelling to Malaysia, and the thought of my car being stolen scared the hell out of me. it's a new sports car. Any other alternatives?

    Career option

i have an opportunity of going into the area of sales...as pre-sales consultant, also in IT the salary is quite okay.. some but not huge increment. i am in the middle management doing operations and client support with quite a bunch of people doing the dirty work for me this one is an individual contributor. pulling factors are the potential of raking more $$, as in the area of sales the product is a new/upcoming and consider the 'in thing' now push factor is the fact that being new,a lot has to be done/ironed out/fixed & fought. definitely more siong than current also, i may fail in this role...then tio pok.. finding a job with matching pay at 40yr old can be daunting.. the question is.. would this switch be a downgrade and detrimental to my career? is it worth the risk?
  4. 1 of my PS3 tyre(used less than 15000km) punctured yesterday n cannot be repair ask few tyre shop (m'sia n s'pore) but all out of stock for 195/50/15 any bro/sis know where to get it? or any other model that can match well with PS3 if i change 1pair? thx in advance
  5. Lets say I won the Subaru Forester 2.0 car in the SPH GSS contest. It comes without COE and other smaller fees. Average OMV is S$18671 from one motoring. MI selling price from sg-carmaart is S$129800 Cat.B now is S$72501 what is the possible option? Which one is better? I already have a one year old car currrently, honda jazz then serves it's purpose well. 1) Sell my current car, loan remaining $40,000. Maybe can sell at $70,000, so have cash on hand $30,000. Self bid for the COE to register the Forester, and drive. Or 2) Sell the car away for $41,000, at 2.2 of OMV value, if possible at all, and keep the prize money. Or 3) Self bid Coe and use it as second car for my wife to drive to work and the kids to night/weekends classes. Or 4) keep it as a race car for the changi race track. Anyone knows how can I not register it. I guess the contest rules could state that the car must register by certain date, etc. Or 5) register it and then scrap it immediately and sell it for parts....can get $41,000 for the parts? Anyone in such situation before? What is a better situation. With the high COE now......seems like a lousy position to be in to win a car in a contest.
  6. Anyone bought a copy or flipped though it? saw it at petrol kiosk last night but all wrapped up and @$13 a pop, not gonna buy it till i get to see what's inside. Same $$$ buys me foreign tuner mags like Fast Car / Super Street (and previously Max Power) dun wanna end up with a mag. full of crappy local classified ads selling broquet and fuel magnets i'd buy it if its a direct translated version of the JDM magazine
  7. Hi all, Due to change in work arrangement, will need to get another car for myself. I am planning to purchase a used car for transport from home to work only. Considered long term rental but monthly payment seems too high about 1000pm. I am thinking between either the Optra or Lancer. http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...767&DL=1009 http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...833&DL=1000 Appreciate if any current owners out there can give their FR on the two rides above. Basically the car will be used only on week days and parked in the office. I prefer something which has low maintenance(like reasonably riced spareparts) and in the long run provides little or no inconvenience. Thanks. **Note that these are the two models I'm currently thinking with budget below 31K,
  8. TyreDog TPMS Tyre Pressure Monitoring System http://sgauto.wordpress.com/tpms/ 2009 Winner of SEMA Show, New Product Award TPMS Tyre Pressure Monitoring System was previously only available on luxury sedans such as Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7-Series, Lexus and subsequently made standard on models with runflat tyres. This luxury feature is now available for your car whether a family sedan, MPV or a high performance car or even for track days. External Sensors The TPMS is a Wireless based system that remotely measures both tyre pressure and temperature. This system automatically warns drivers should the tyre pressure or temperature go pass a set parameter that is programmable. This gives the driver ample warning before any drastic situation happens such as losing control of the vehicle due to a flat tyre or a tyre being torn to shreds because the driver was unaware of a flat tyre. The cost of replacing an expensive shredded tyre or rim is already a ROI Return On Investment for this product. General Features Pressure alerts when tyre pressure below or above the setting range Temperature alerts when tyre temperature over the setting range Easy read out graphic icon Real time monitoring tyre pressure & tyre temperature. Increase tyre expectancy Improve fuel consumption Increase driving safety and reduced braking distance. Reduce CO 2 Reduce rubber wastage Instantly detects air leakage and tyre over heat Easy to installation (X-type) High accuracy Amber Backlight Not affected by bumpy roads User can preset the pressure and temperature range. Uses 2 x AAA Batteries or Cigarette Lighter Plug Accuracy: +/- 0.5 psi Operates even when the car is stationary External Sensor, Anti Theft The TD1000 supports four tyres and users can install this system without any mechanical knowledge and with easy to read graphic interface LCD monitor. It is the best solution for drivers to keep track of the tyres condition and maintain tyres in tiptop shape . Installation TYREDOG

  20. Hi Admin, Wonder if you can add some feature options during the "Print Threat" to not to include certain information like Graphics & banners. This is to save tremandous amount of printer paper & ink usage. I think most who print the forum threat would agreed with me on this suggestions. Thanks for your help. Kind regards
  21. The factory stereo system on the Optra is average to say the least. Just wondering if any of you Optra owners did the tweeter (surround sound per ad) upgrade? Was it $90 well spent?
