  1. Being backstabbed by a fellow colleague that u trusted and lost your job... What's your next move? Find another job n move on? Juz curious....
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-BQgqSrjI4 The narration is in Cantonese and I picked this particular clip because at least the narrator tried to give some background information regarding this video clip. Anyway, apparently, this clip is at least 10-year-old and allegedly came from the Dark Web. But despite having been around for so long and having been watched by so many people, nobody has solved this internet mystery yet. Who is that guy eating soup in the video? What exactly happened? There has been several theories so far but, unfortunately, no one has come forward with conclusive evidence. Theory #1. He was eating the remains of his loved ones There are some who claimed that the man and his family were abducted by gangsters. The wife (or daughter in some versions) was killed pretty early and they made the soup-eating guy eat the remains of his wife or daughter. That's why he's crying throughout the video. Theory #2. He's the victim of a snuff film Another theory says that the soup-eating man was the victim in a snuff film and the full version only exists in the deep recesses of the Dark Web. That's why the man started crying only when he's approached by the man in the doll costume. Because the victim knew then that his time was up. Theory #3. It's a prank Some say it's just an internet prank. And people who support this theory say that if it were an actual video recording of a real crime in progress, the FBI would have gotten on the case. Assuming, of course, that it was actually filmed in America. And well, there's some proof that it's filmed in USA. Because the designer of the costumes was in the country and the doll costumes were stolen from a club in the country. What do you guys think?
  3. How do you people see this case? Those victims worth to be cheated because of itchy? https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/teenager-charged-with-cheating-16-people-out-of-more-than-s-3-10693850
  4. Exposed: The secret powerhouse processing millions in global fraud http://money.cnn.com/2016/09/22/news/companies/pacnet-investigation/index.html?iid=hp-toplead-intl dtd 22 Sep 2016 Editor's Note: Today, a Canadian payment processor named PacNet became one of the many targets of an unprecedented crackdown on global mail fraud, which will be announced later today by Attorney General Loretta Lynch. CNNMoney, which is exclusively breaking the news of this action, has spent months digging into this little-known company and the shadowy world of global mail fraud. Our investigation is below: The frauds rake in millions from the sick and elderly -- leaving them with nothing. This is a story about the little-known company that cashes the checks. And it happens victim by victim. ------------------------------------------------- As you read on (it is a very long article) it is sad to find out that many of the victims are the sick and elderly who spent their retirement funds paying fraudsters who obtained payment via this Canadian company called PacNet. Will these victims get at least some of their money back?
  5. Hi people, please stop taking photos or videos on your mobile phone the next time you come across an accident. Help the victims, just like what the 12 year old did. He approached both drivers involved in a traffic accident to check on their well-being when no one else stepped in to help. When 12-year-old Ashvin Gunasegaran was on his way home with his friends after school, they heard a loud "boom" behind them as they were crossing the road. He turned around and saw that two cars had collided in a middle of the junction of Yishun Ring Road and Yishun Ave 2. Without a second thought, the Yishun Primary School Student rushed to attend to the victims. He was warned by his friends not to step forward as the roads were too dangerous. "I thought someone would step up and help but then it turned out there was no one. Everyone was just taking pictures and no one was helping them," said Ashvin. He approached the drivers one after another and he found out that one was pregnant and her leg was bleeding. He eventually waited for the ambulance to arrive before leaving the scene. For his gallant efforts to ensure the well-being of the victims of the accident, which took place around 1.10pm last Tuesday (May 31), Ashvin was awarded the Public Spiritedness Award by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) on Thursday (Jun 2). Speaking at the award ceremony, Commander for the 3rd SCDF Division Lieutenant-Colonel Eric Chua said: "You are never too young to be somebody who renders a helping hand. Ashvin is just all of 12 grand years in age and I'm very surprised, in fact, and very happy that he has stepped forward." "We hope all people could do likewise despite the fact that we had people standing by taking photographs and your friends were quite hesitant to come forth. He did so. He did a marvellous job," LTC Chua added. Ashvin's mother, Swares Helen Louisa, 50, who was also present at the award ceremony, said she is very proud of her youngest son. "He is my hero in the house now. I really didn't expect he went all the way to help the two ladies that (were) involved in the accident. So I'm really very happy," she said. "I feel heroic. Because I actually thought that it would be a normal day after but suddenly everyone started calling me a hero, all my friends and all my family," said Ashvin.

  7. will this open up to future accident victim claiming more in an accident?
  8. Not related in anyway to the victim & just helping to spread the word. A bit curious that this should be a clear-cut mata case but STOMPer did not mention anything about that. Maybe he is just trying to assist in ther investigations. From STOMP: http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...un_appeals.html Posted on 05 Mar 2013 Pedestrian injured in Tanjong Katong hit-and-run appeals for information STOMPer Zen is appealing for anyone with information about a hit-and-run incident along Tanjong Katong Road on Saturday night to come forward and assist him in piecing together the order of events then. The STOMPer said he was crossing the road when a blue taxi turned into his path and knocked him down. He suffered a cut to the head which required stitches, as well as a sprained shoulder as a result of this accident. In his report, STOMPer Zen wrote: "There was a hit and run accident along Tanjong Katong Road at about 10.15pm to 10.30pm on Saturday (Mar 2) beside Tanjong Katong Complex. "I was crossing the road at the pedestrain crossing there when a car turned into my path and knocked me down. "I managed to get only a glimpse of the vehicle -- a blue taxi -- before I fainted. "I suffered a 1cm-long cut on my head which required stitches, as well as a sprained shoulder."

  10. SINGAPORE: An Indian student who was left fighting for her life after being gang-raped in New Delhi has arrived at Singapore's Mount Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment. The patient arrived at the hospital's Intensive Care Unit at 9.05am in extremely critical condition, said the hospital's spokesperson on Thursday. The hospital is working with the Indian High Commission, and has requested that the privacy of the patient and the family be respected. The 23-year-old, whose attack sparked protests across India, had been transferred from the Safdarjung hospital in central Delhi to Medanta hospital in Gurgaon, close to the city's international airport, before being flown to Singapore. "The decision was taken this morning at cabinet," a source at Safdarjung told AFP early Thursday. "Her mother and father are with her." The government had earlier announced it was setting up a special commission of inquiry after the gang-rape on December 16 when the woman was allegedly tricked into boarding a bus by six men who then took turns to assault her. The group also attacked her with an iron bar before throwing her out of the vehicle, along with a male companion. Six suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack and have been remanded in custody. - CNA/AFP/al Poor thing, let us pray for her full recover.
  11. http://motoring.asiaone.com/Motoring/News/...608-351467.html Bangladeshi dies from Audi hit-and-run SINGAPORE - A 36-year-old construction worker was killed in a hit-and-run accident involving an Audi and a lorry. Md Hazrat Ali passed away on Wednesday night. The Audi crashed into the lorry in the wee hours of May 23 along the East Coast Parkway (ECP) towards Changi, near Marine Terrace estate, killing one and injuring three others. Allegedly drunk, the Audi driver got out of his car and fled from scene before eventually turned himself in at a police station, reported Shin Min Daily News. The lorry carrying four construction workers was heading towards their dormitory in Tanah Merah when it was hit from the back by a black Audi. Upon impact, the lorry was pushed towards the drain by the side of the road, and caused two construction workers who were seated at the back to fall out of the vehicle. One worker fell on the grass patch and the other fell into the drain - both were critically injured. The other two passengers also had injuries, one of whom hurt his arm. The three Bangladeshi workers and one Chinese worker were sent to Changi General Hospital. No information was given about the lorry driver. His manager Mr Fan revealed exclusively to the Chinese daily that Md Hazrat had fallen into the drain and hit his head on a rock. He passed away after being in coma for two weeks. The Chinese national, 42, fell onto the grass and was admitted for concussion. He was discharged five days later. Audi driver's wife identifies car Mr Fan had rushed to the scene after receiving news of the incident. He told the paper that a lady showed up awhile after and told police she was the owner of the Audi. When police mentioned that an eyewitness saw a man wearing a red shirt running away from the Audi, she admitted that the driver was her husband and was unable to contact him. Mr Fan also told the paper that an eyewitness had seen the driver running towards the apartment buildings about 500m away. The driver, 38, was seen squatting at the void deck and sobbing. The eyewitness called the police, however the driver had left by the time police arrived. According to reports, the police later arrested the driver after he turned himself in at a police station. Mr Fan added that the residents living nearby were very helpful. Hearing the crash, some went to the scene with first aid kits. One of the injured workers, a 29-year-old Bangladeshi man told the paper that he was very grateful to the lady who took off her sweater and used it to bandage his arm. He also said that residents helped the lorry driver carry Md Hazrat Ali out of the drain. Md Hazrat Ali's body will sent back to his hometown in Bangladesh tomorrow, according to Shin Min.

  13. Damn sad! PIE fatal hit-and-run: Victim found nearly 5 hours later Above: Mr Muhammad Zulfiqar's body was found in the centre of the divider at the PIE on Monday morning close to five hours later after he was flung off his motorbike. SINGAPORE - A 21-year-old motorcyclist was flung off his motorbike while travelling on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) towards Changi Airport on Monday morning (April 2). The bike appeared to have skidded, The New Paper reported. But the victim of the fatal accident, Mr Muhammad Zulfiqar, was found close to five hours later at 10.15am. The police said in a joint statement with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) that they first received a call about the accident at 5.25am. Upon arrival, they found an unattended motorbike at lane 3 of the expressway, the statement said. However "attempts to verify the whereabouts of the motorbike owner were unsuccessful and officers left the scene subsequently," the agencies said. At 9.15am, SCDF received another call about "someone lying down in the divider along PIE towards Changi Airport, after Upper Bukit Timah exit". But again the dispatched ambulance could not locate the victim. At about 10.07am, the police received another report of "a man lying in the bushes at the centre divider of PIE" and returned to the location. But it was another SCDF ambulance that was on its way to a separate incident along the PIE that spotted Mr Muhammad. Paramedics pronounced the biker dead at 10.15am. According to Chinese-language newspaper Lianhe Wanbao, Mr Muhammad was left for dead after he was hit by a car and flung off his bike. Mr Muhammad's father, Mr Mohd Nor, 45, said his family had never supported his son's decision to ride a motorcycle, according to The New Paper. However he had insisted that it was more convenient than taking the bus or MRT. Mr Mohd Nor said that on the day of the accident, his son had gone for supper with some frineds afer knocking off from work in the wee hours of the morning. Police investigations are ongoing.
  14. http://sg.news.yahoo.com/suntec-brawl-victim-rejects-s-20k-offer--report.html 3 Cheers to Paul L Liew... Something seems to be very wrong with this case. In fact when this A**es put up for bail and declared that they are required to travel to...blah blah country, doesn't our judicial system smell a rat after the Romanian have escaped in the same manner. (except no bail) IMO, we really needed to buck-up our Law system....I wonder how is our MIW will handle this issue further down. Forummers what's your take on this case? Thanks for your feed back.
  15. THE outlook seemed bleak for the worst-hit victim of a double hit-and-run accident on Tuesday. Mr Tong Kok Wai, 30, is suffering from severe brain damage. He has not regained consciousness. Doctors at the National University Hospital have told his family that there is little chance of him recovering. Just as all seemed lost, Mr Tong, feared to be brain-dead, shed tears of hope. His wife of three weeks, Madam Yenni Young, 31, an assistant manager at a hotel here, had mustered enough courage yesterday to utter the most painful words she has ever had to say to him. "I don't want you to suffer so much," she told her husband as she stroked his face and held his hands. "If you really cannot take it and you want to go, it's okay. Don't worry about me. I've got so many people with me. So many people are here with me." After she said those words, she saw "two fat tears" rolling down his cheeks. She told The New Paper: "I had been waiting a long time in the morning to have some time alone with him. "So many people were walking in and out to see him. Then finally, I got some time alone with him. When I saw his tears, that was when I knew he could hear me." Madam Young, a Chinese Indonesian, said she immediately rushed out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to tell her mother and mother-in-law about what she saw. The family saw, in those two tears, a miracle. And now, they're praying for an even bigger one - that he will pull through. Mr Tong, a Malaysian working in Singapore, was accompanying his friend, Mr Bong Hwee Haw, 24, to take a taxi home after supper when a black Audi A6 ploughed into them along Bukit Panjang Road at about 3am on Tuesday. It went on to hit a third person, Muhd Haris Abu Talib, 18, at the next junction. The car had been reported stolen by the Romanian embassy and was later found abandoned in Sungei Kadut. The driver remains at large. Madam Young has been keeping vigil by her husband's bedside since yesterday morning, soon after he was admitted. She said: "I also told him that I wish to hear him call me 'lao po' (wife in Mandarin) and 'Tang fu ren' (Mrs Tong in Mandarin) again. "After we got married, he used to call me that, teasingly." The couple solemnised their marriage at Traders Hotel just three weeks ago, on 20 Nov, after which there was a high-tea reception. It was attended by about 90 relatives and close friends from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. "We planned the whole wedding ourselves," she said, fingering her wedding band, which carries a single diamond. The couple were planning to go to Japan for their honeymoon. Madam Young added that Mr Tong would be undergoing more tests to confirm his condition. She described him as a faithful man whose love for her stood the test of time. "He fell for me first," she said, breaking into a smile. "We were friends many years ago when we were working at the same hotel. "He told me twice that he liked me. But at that time, I did not have any feelings for him. It probably wasn't the right time." She then left for Australia to pursue further studies and returned to Singapore only in 2007. The couple, who kept in touch while she was in Australia, met up a few times when she returned. It was on one of those outings that she realised she had fallen for him. They dated, and he proposed to her six months ago. "It was a simple proposal," she recalled. "He had dropped me hints before that, and I told him that I didn't want any ring. "We were sitting and chatting at our usual bench in the park near his place. Then he asked me, 'When should we get married?' That was it." She described her husband as a "very chatty and sociable person".
  16. Hi all, I recently fell victim to some fake Mophie Juice Pack Plus that I bought from a financial institution's promotion. The promotional offer sold the gadget at 1/3 of the original price! Anyway, after Mophie's tech support verified that the ones that I bought were fakes, I complained and the financial institution did an exchange for me with the real stuff from authorised reseller! I did a comparison between the fake and real Juice Pack and had the comparison documented on my humble little blog. Would sincerely like to share the information that I had gathered with the rest of the forumers. If you suspected your product to be a fake, please take a look at what I had gathered ( Visit My Website ). Please educate other users as well. The lesson I learnt was... if it is too good to be true, most likely it ain't true!
  17. A young girl was knocked down by a lorry yesterday afternoon. But when a witness reported the accident at a Neighbourhood Police Post (NPP), the police officer on duty said he could not leave his post to assist him. Shin Min Daily News reported today that the policeman on duty told the 41-year-old witness, who gave his name as Paul, that he had already informed the Traffic Police about the accident. The officer said he was unable to leave the NPP because he was on duty alone. But he had ensured that a police car arrived on-scene to render assistance until an ambulance arrived. In response, a police spokesperson said the police officer had immediately checked whether an ambulance had been dispatched to the scene of the accident. The accident happened after a five-year-old girl dashed across a road and was knocked down by a lorry at 1.50pm. It happened near the Ghim Moh bus terminal. Paul said an elderly woman wanted to cross the road with two children, but turned back after seeing a bus approaching. He then heard a loud bang and saw a little girl lying down on the ground with her shoes flung to the lorry's side. When interviewed, the lorry driver, 25-year-old Mr Lim Ke Yong said he started driving off only after he saw the elderly woman walking away with a boy. However, a little girl suddenly dashed out from behind a bus to reach the elderly woman, and he could not stop in time. Mr Lim said he immediately rushed the girl to nearby clinics for treatment, but most of them were closed for lunch. The only clinic which was open said the girl should be sent to hospital immediately. "I asked her whether she was in pain. She only cried and said yes," said Mr Lim. He plans to visit the girl in hospital after helping the police with investigations. The girl sustained scratches but is in stable condition. Link
  18. I catch no ball. How come the vet is acquitted but still need to compensate the victim? So did he or did he not? Is this a shakedown? A FORMER senior veterinarian with the Singapore Zoo was acquitted of four molestation charges on Friday after compounding the matter. Dr Oh Soon Hock, 52, was granted a discharge amounting to an acquittal, for molesting a 21-year-old woman four times at the Mandai Lake Road premises between January and March 2009. Deputy Public Prosecutor Agnes Chan said the prosecution had no objections for the charges to be compounded for a global sum of $15,000. The woman, who has received the amount, was in court and seen wiping her tears. Trained in Taiwan in veterinary science, Dr Oh was is known for using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to treat animals. Lawyer Shashi Nathan told reporters that his client was very relieved that the matter had been resolved privately between the parties. The maximum penalty for outrage of modesty is a jail term of up to two years, a fine or caning or any combination of such punishments.

  20. Poor innocent woman. Did everything under the law-see MP & report police, even incurring own expense of installing CCTV but still kena harrassed...What more can she do? http://www.straitstimes.com/STForum/Story/...ory_625645.html Innocent loan-shark victim's 3-year tale of endless woes I AM an unfortunate owner who bought a three-room flat from a loan-shark borrower three years ago. I have been harassed by loan sharks until today because the previous owner had not changed his address on his identity card. I have lodged several police reports but the only assurance the police offered me was that they would increase the patrols around my block. Desperate, I sought the assistance of my MP, Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, last November. He promised to raise the matter with the police, but the only additional response I received from the police, apart from the previous assurance of increased patrols, was a question: Would I be installing a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera? Meanwhile, the loan sharks did not let up and visited my flat regularly. Last week alone, I lodged three police reports, the most serious of which was about my family and I being locked in with a bicycle lock, and our front door splashed with red and black paint. The police had to be called to release the lock. Subsequently, an investigating officer was assigned to the case, but the only response I received from him was the same: The police would increase their patrols. The next day, a loan shark called and threatened to burn my flat if I did not track down the previous owner. He also threatened to harm my daughter and my maid, claiming that he had their photographs. I reported this also to the investigating officer and after receiving the same reply, I asked him to facilitate the installation of a CCTV camera at my lift landing. He told me to check with the Bedok North police centre and when I did, I was told to obtain approvals from the Housing Board and the town council. Only then would the CCTV camera be installed, at my own cost. The reason I am writing in is that I have done all that I could but question whether the police have done likewise. I have faithfully lodged reports with the police, and installed a CCTV camera, but I have not seen a more visible police presence. I am not updated by the police and all that the police have done effectively is to record my statements. I am baffled and frustrated. On the one hand, a serial loan-shark borrower could escape harassment by the simple act of not changing his address; and a loan shark could obtain all my personal details. On the other, the police have apparently been unable to track down the previous owner, let alone the loan shark. Eng Lay Qing (Ms)
  21. Jan 6, 2011 RAPE TRIAL Woman tried to seduce me, says accused In police statements, he says they had consensual sex at his flatBy Elena Chong, Courts Correspondent A MAN accused of raping a woman he met while clubbing at Zouk claimed the alleged victim tried to seduce him on the dance floor. Ong Mingwee said the then 22-year-old woman agreed to go back to his place, where they had consensual sex. His account of what happened was revealed in police statements heard in court yesterday, the third day of his trial. Station Inspector Azman Mohd Hussin of the Serious Sexual Crime Branch of the Criminal Investigation Department read aloud two statements he took from Ong. The 28-year-old was arrested on Feb 12, 2009, the day of the alleged rape, in a flat above a provision shop he runs in Toa Payoh North. He stated that he was at Zouk with his brother when he met the alleged victim and her friend. The woman was drunk by then but continued drinking with him. She pulled him to the dance floor, he claimed, adding that she was dancing as though she was trying to seduce him, which made him feel embarrassed. When the club closed, he left with her in a cab and they kissed, he said, adding that she agreed to go home with him. When they reached his flat, however, the woman started to cry and said she was scared and wanted to go home. 'I was like, freak out, because all the while she was okay with me. I then tried to calm her down and told her not to worry as I would not harm her or hurt her,' he stated. Ong said he managed to calm her down and they started to kiss again. He said he tried to have sex with her but was unable to because he had drunk too much. She broke down again, and said she wanted to make a phone call and go home. Ong said he heard her crying non-stop as she talked to her friend and later her mother, which irritated and angered him. 'Turned off' by the woman's long conversation with her mother, he said he took the phone and spoke to the mother in the kitchen, assuring her that he would take her daughter home safely. When he returned to the room, he asked the woman if he could have sex with her. He claimed that she nodded her head. After the act, he did not take her home as he was 'not in a mood'. 'It was supposed to be a great night but because of her behaviour, it turned out to be (a) silly night. I don't understand why she wants to report me to the police. I did try to call her after the incident but she did not reply.' In a further statement, when asked by Station Insp Azman why he did not take the woman home as promised, Ong said: 'Because I felt (like) poo after what had happened.' He denied telling her that she must have sex with him if she wanted to leave. 'I said something like, 'Let's have sex first and you can go home.'' The alleged victim took the stand yesterday afternoon but her evidence was held behind closed doors following an application by Deputy Public Prosecutors Leong Wing Tuck and Victor Lim. 22. A 26-year-old Chinese woman's nightmare started five years ago when she was raped by the canteen operator of her school. "He took me to a motel on the pretext of introducing a job to me. Instead, he raped me there," said Chen XiaoLi (not her real name). Since then, Chen had been 'controlled' by the 40-year-old rapist, surnamed Zhang, who threatened to reveal the rape to the public if she went against his commands. Over the past five years, she was always assaulted by the man, who also forced her to go for abortions six times. "I could not retaliate because he said he would kill my whole family if I did that," she told Da He Bao. Chen had been putting up a strong front and kept the sorrow to herself, thinking that everything would be fine as long as she followed his "commands". One January morning, she finally broke down when she saw her nude photographs pasted on the walls, lamp posts and trees in her village in Henan. "I believed he took the photos while I was asleep," she said. "I also believe that he wanted to take revenge and shame me because I attempted to run away from him earlier," she said. She said Zhang had offered her to purchase the photographs for RM50,000 yuan (RM25,000). Failing which, he would post them on the Internet. A villager Li Ziqing said he and Chen's father rushed to "clean up" the village and picked up more than 200 photos. Chen's family lodged a police report on March 9.
  23. I'm the owner of the vehicle in the pictures and also the victim of this hit-and-run accident, which happened just infront of blk 113 bt batok open air carpark, just before midnight on Sat 21 Aug 2010. I had parked there earlier that night, and noted that there was a lively seventh month auction going on in the open field just beyond the carpark. Fortunately no one was injured, but as you can see my ride has suffered some really serious damage. Kudos to two great civic minded witnesses, I managed to track down the license plate of the culprit - a huge 18-footer lorry ferrying workers. The scum bag driver had obviously reversed his lorry into my car, and ran off without a sound. The damage says it all, as the bottom portion remained largely intact without scratches but top was smashed beyond recognition. He even had the audacity to cover his tracks by clearing the notes left behind by the kind witnesses multiple times TP was called in, I approached the temple organiser Wu3 Dang1 Shan1 Shan4 Long2 Miao4 (武堂山善龙庙) for assistance to find out who the culprit was, made a police report and finally accident report at IDAC. The car is now awaiting assessment by an authorised workshop, but it seems that most of them avoid taking on such cases. Nothing heard from the temple either, but I wouldn't pin my hopes on these equally irresponsible fellas. Come on, at least have the basic courtesy to inform me who the driver was and let us settle ourselves! This should have been a straightforward case.. ie. Lorry driver establishes contact with me, I do a 3rd party claim, get the car repaired and case closed. Why complicate things with a police case, implicate the event organiser, make things difficult for everybody? I have no idea how the investigation will turn out, but let's just say that there is no way I'm going to let this guy off lightly after going through all these tedious processes. Personally would like to hear some opinions on what my chances are, avenues available and of course if there are more witnesses willing to step forward, I would really appreciate if you could contact me at [email protected]. Thanks!
  24. Hi Expert advice pls:- 1. Car had just filtered into expressway (PIE) and already fully on the left lane (got pictures to prove) of the expressway. Travelling at slow speed due to traffic. I was just beginning to accelerate slightly. 2. Immediate ahead was another exit. A cab was cutting towards the left in order to exit. 3. Van ahead braked cos the cab cutting in. 4. I saw the van way ahead and also braked. No collision then. 5. 2 sec later, a dreaming van crashed into me. The impact was so great, it pushed my car about 2 meters and I hit the rear right of the van. Its rear right lamp was damaged. 6 My rear bumper was almost totally flattened. My front left was damaged - lamp broken, side panel crushed. 7. Taxi who caused the entire accident was not hit at all. But, he was kind to stay behind and exchanged details. I cannot understand what the rear van was thinking. I braked at least for a full 1-2 sec and he should have sufficient time to brake if he was paying attention. I also cannot understand the big impact as we were all travelling at low speed. The van driver behind was apologetic when he got out of car. Agreed verbally to claim insurance. All 4 cars exchanged details. We took pictures at the site of the accident. I believe I am not at fault at all. So, I have proceeded to claim third party insurance. Now, I am getting slightly uneasy if in case, the back Van claim that I have hit the first van infront first. I wonder how I can help to prove my case with the insurance company as I am sure I did not hit the van infront first. It was a full 2 sec before the van behind hit me. any advice on this matter? E.g. things or pictures I should highlight to prove my case? i.e. i was hit first from behind and caused me to hit the van in front...thanks... anyway, was really sad cos that day I purposely drive extra careful cos there were passengers in the car and it was after rain, traffic was heavy. I intentionally drive slowly and yet this happen... dunno what these drivers are thinking... sad. My car is only 1.5yrs old and suffered quite a heavy damage, front and back. anyway, thankful that no one was injured though the back impact was quite heavy...
  25. Thu, May 20, 2010 The Star/Asia News Network KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Harian Metro reported of a Pakistani gigolo who "exhausted" his victim with sex before robbing her. According to a police source, the victim, who works in a karaoke centre in Kuala Lumpur, met a 30-something man named Sheikh. "The woman fell for his charms and asked him to follow her home. Before they had sex, he persuaded her to remove the necklace she was wearing. She placed the piece of jewellery in a drawer." The newspaper quoted the police source as saying that the woman was given "special treatment" by the suspect that was meant to wear her out. After the vigorous sex session, the suspect persuaded her to get some sleep, but the woman, a light sleeper, saw him opening the drawer to take her necklace and handphone. "She tried to stop him but he ran off," he said. - The Star/Asia News Network
