  1. Hi bros, any car workshop doing replacement of new car battery at a good price?
  2. Hi All SS owners, I plan to change my SSS front seats to the stock 1.3/1.5 stock leather seats. I realised that the SRS check light will on since I will be taking out the SSS seats and the 1.3/1.5 seat does not come with SRS. i. is there anyway to remove the check light ? (some mod socket / by pass resistor ?) ii. Will this dis-engage all other SRS airbags? CM said will not but said there is always a risk. many many thanks.
  3. Anyone knows how to change the battery for the suzuki key fob (keyless entry system)? I scared to break it.. Hope someone can teach me. Thanks
  4. Hi all, My car has been under warranty with Khang Auto for the last one year plus. Just 25000km ago, Khang Auto at Sin ming advised me to change the brake pads to my car. I willingly said ok (as it is a safety issue). Now, 25000kms later, I hear a squeaking noise whenver I brake the car. I am puzzled as to why the brake pads wear out so fast. I went to the authorised agent of the car (I did not go back to them as Khang Auto will void warranty if i service the car elsewhere) and they advised me that the brake pads have worn out! Throughout my driving career (though not very long, about 9 years now), I have not heard of brake pads wearing out so soon. For peace of mind, I went ahead to change the front and rear discs and brake pads with the authorised agent. After that,I wanted to clarify with Khang Auto if they actually changed the brake pads...and guess what the manager there told me..."I checked with my technician and brake pads normally wear out at 25000kms" This is really crap...I am not some F1 driver and I know that brake pads wear out around at least 40000kms. I cannot say for sure that Khang Auto did not change the brake pads for me...but I am highly suspicious of them. Please....just a warning that you patronise them at your own risk. And to think that they actually do this kind of job for a safety issue, it reflects on how they think for their customers.
  5. Hi Bros, Looking to change my Shock Absorber to aftermarket ones, anybody here got any relatively new ones for sale? any less than 1.5 year in use? Any good good ones to reccd apart from bilstein?
  6. 61% apparently going to...... 61% looking to job-hop in next 3 months: survey UP TO 61 per cent of professionals in Singapore are hoping to move jobs in the next three months according to a poll. This finding was released by international recruitment consultancy Robert Walters where more than 2,835 workers took part in the global survey. The results also show that within the Asia Pacific region, professionals in Singapore were most keen to move in the next three months (61 per cent of respondents), followed by Hong Kong (57 per cent), Malaysia (56 per cent), and Thailand (52 per cent). Participants were asked when they hoped to make their next career move, with answer options ranging from the next three months to three years. Other findings show that amongst respondents from Singapore, 24 per cent are hoping to move jobs in the next 3-6 months, seven per cent of respondents are hoping to move in the next 6-12 months, and eight per cent are looking to move in 12-18 months.
  7. Hi Guys, back in 2007, i've purchase a Jazz 1.4 CVT, with a 10yrs loan. Base on scrap value, i'm only able to breakeven in August 2015. But currently i'm able to sell off with little profit. Am considering to change to a 2nd hand Getz. With a 20k 4yr loan, breakeven with little over 2yr. And for the fact that this is a manual ride, chances there would be little problem on the gear box. any opinion on this? or any current or ex driver of getz? how is the ride and FC? http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...259&DL=1420 http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...254&DL=1420 thank you !
  8. My ride on is on GR80 since day 1 till now it's already 45k... I'm not sure is it time to change. It's still as soft and as quiet. Gripping good or not, actually I really dunno how to test or feel. If its time to change new shoe, I would like something similar. The GR80 was bought at $85 3 yrs ago and now GR90 cost $145 That is almost double the price of GR80 Anything similar performance but lower in price than GR90?
  9. Hi guys, As I am going to renew my road tax soon, I'm also planning to change of OPC to the revised scheme. If I were to do it at tha AXS machine, which should I do first? Revice the OPC first or renew road tax? Thanks
  10. Watching the series now. Should interest some members here. Story about this speedster, son of a taxi driver, who comes to term and prison for the death of another motorist due to his recklessness. Easy watching because similarities with our traffic laws here.
  11. if change rim and tyre profile, is it possible to synchronize the speedometer? at AD ?
  12. Hi guys! I need some help. I bought a set of 2nd hand tyres and replace them at city tyre shop (cause its around 10pm at night at others are closed already). When the mechanic did the balancing, he told me one rim got vibration and true enough there is vibration at low speeds and noise. Its most intense at around 60KM/H. As I went higher the vibration is no longer felt. Its not felt thru the steering wheel but the pedals. I am just wondering if its due to rims or the tyres or the balancing? Cause the car was fine prior to changing tyres. I also notice the guy added alot of weight on each rim, around 70-80g. All 4 rims so badly unbalanced?
  13. hi, my car currently comes equipped with a Sachs sports suspension setup installed by the previous owner. I find it too stiff and too lowered, resulting in bottoming out at the fenders. As I don't want to roll the fenders, I was thinking whether is it possible just to change the springs instead of the entire setup. I understand the Sach set was a matched suspension. I am thinking of using stock springs or maybe Bilstein. Not sure if Eibachs / H & Rs are available.
  14. Folks, I'm just wondering if is possible to swap a compatible gear from a 4 speed gear transmission to a 5 speed gear transmission? Just wondering if is possible as my current ride is a 4 speed gear trans n seems like can see some probs surfacing thus have this taut of changing it.
  15. Fellow bros, I recently juz changed my front disc brake pad from autobacs. According to the technician that the brake will not be as sensitive now and it might take a few weeks for the brakes to get normal. I'm feeling the less effective brakes now when i'm driving. Seemed like i need to depress even deeper to feel the brakes. Is dis normal? If not, shld i go bk to autobacs nw to ask as they told me it will take a few weeks for the brakes to b fine. Pls advise..... Thanks
  16. Wifey and I are thinking of selling our 99 yrs condo and buy another freehold condo...bought the 99 yrs condo for coming 2 years and prices appreciated by almost 30%. But the 'profit' will be use to feed a bigger loan so net net no gain just more liability. Opinions/suggestions/feedback appreciated...except from those who like to spout off sinkiemambojumbobullshessh!

  20. Any long term side-effects if keep changing different petrol brands/grades & also engine oil? Coz each time we change engine oil & top up petrol, sure have a few % left of the previous brand. Concern about engine internal cleaniness. Been doing that to my bikes before (now on bike no. 6); so far ok ok. For my current 1st car; abit cautious..
