The resident, who goes by Zelia2702, also included a picture of the block's mailboxes, which had the same eerie red tiles. Zelia isn't the only one who found the lift lobby's interior design unacceptable. Her video has garnered more than 100,000 views on TikTok, with several comments from residents who concur with her displeasure towards the design. Another resident, surnamed Fu, told Zaobao he found it rather gloomy. "In the day it looks like [it's] Chinese New Year, but at night it looks like a temple," remarked the 30-year-old engineer. This particular block has also attracted the attention of other residents in the estate. Yan, who owns a unit at 639B with the same colour scheme, told Zaobao that he and his wife went to take a look at the eerie block out of curiosity. "We'll only get our keys in end-March, but we came down to take a look after finding out that our block has the same colour scheme. "When we come out of the lift it feels like our hair is standing, I hope that the authorities will change the design," shared the 32-year-old, who is self-employed. Wah, really look like those scene from Hong Kong ghost movie woh! 😱

Hyundai driver hits motorcyclist on expressway like he owes him money

We’ve seen many examples of bad driving in this forum, but this one is just malicious. What happened? On 11 May, 8.51 a.m. at Tampines Expressway, a Hyundai Elantra driver decided to hit a motorcycle while disguising it as lane filtering. As you can see in the video, the Hyundai was coming in from another road to join the expressway. Immediately the Hyundai went across multiple lanes at once, and headed for the motorcycle like a missile. The motorcyclist had a pillion rider as well, and both of them were sent rolling across the tarmac, their bike skidding away. The Hyundai showed no remorse for the move, as there was not even a hint of braking or turning away before the impact. The driver simply continued on their way like nothing happened, not stopping to check if he committed vehicular manslaughter. We can see when the Hyundai driver passes the camcar that he left his turn signal on when he was “lane filtering”. The first thing I would do when I spot a hazardous driver is to get FAR AWAY from them. My reasons for doing so are: (1) I am a defensive driver (2) I love my car However, for this Toyota Noah driver, he does the exact opposite of what I would do: What Happened? An elderly Toyota Hiace driver woke up on a fine morning and decided to be a d!ck on the road by cutting off a Toyota Noah at a junction upon the traffic light turning green. (1 count of near collision) In response, the Noah driver tapped on his brakes repeatedly and even jam-braked at one point to avoid a collision with the van. At this point, the Noah driver was probably seeing red as he began driving aggressively, including overtaking the Hiace using a right-turn-only lane. Further down the road, both vehicles drove side by side (probably exchanging hand gestures and vulgarities) when the elderly Hiace driver decided to pull his stunt AGAIN - by cutting in front of the Noah driver once again. (2 counts of near collision) The obviously furious Toyota Noah driver retaliated by overtaking the Hiace from the left and cutting in front of it. (3 Counts of near collision) ANDDDDD....the Hiace performed exactly what the Noah driver did to him - by overtaking from the left and cutting in front of the Noah driver. (4 Counts of near collision) At last, both drivers' shenanigans ended when they stopped at a red light. However, the Toyota Noah driver alighted from his vehicle, walked brazenly towards the driver's side window of the Hiace, and gave it one good smack, jolting the elderly driver. The Noah driver made a rude hand gesture towards the elderly driver before returning to his MPV. Too old to drive? Or is he simply an elderly d-bag? Whatever it is, this elderly driver should have his driver's license revoked for two simple reasons: (1) Assuming his actions were unintentional...it suggests that he is unfit to drive due to his age (Eg. Poor eyesight, hand-eye coordination, or a lapse in judgement). (2) Assuming his actions were intentional...nuff said. Just as the joyous festive season kicked in, an unsuspecting accident completely ruined the atmosphere. Watch the spine-chilling accident here: What Happened? The accident occured along the stretch of Tampines Ave 10, close to midnight on 23rd December. A red Mercedes A180 drove from Tampines Ave 1 before negotiating a left turn onto Tampines Ave 10. From the video, it seems like the red Mercedes was travelling at a fast speed when he approached the left turn. Oddly, the Mercedes did not seem to have any intention to negotiate the bend. What puzzled me further was that it seemed to be driving straight into the metal barrier and the vehicles in the opposite direction. As a result, the Mercedes ended up T-boning a white SUV at the red light. There was plenty more collateral after the first point of impact with the white SUV, including a motorcyclist who happened to be lane splitting. The Aftermath In total, four cars, a taxi and one motorcycle were involved in the accident. Unfortunately, one driver succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital, while four other motorists were injured and taken to the hospital. Subsequently, the driver of the red Mercedes was arrested for suspected drink driving. Speeding Apparently, the driver of the red Mercedes was racing another car before the accident occurred. They were caught on dashcam footage as they sped down Tampines Ave 1. Netizens' Comments Dude, the Mercedes driver was arrested for suspected drink driving. It is a common sight for drivers to perform a lane change, a turn or a U-turn without using their signal indicator. One may feel it is a minor issue that these inconsiderate drivers behave this way until this happens: What Happened? When this accident occurred, the cam bike was riding along Tampines Walk just outside Our Tampines Hub. A grey Honda Shuttle was driving in front of the cam bike, LITERALLY hovering in between 2 lanes. At this point, the cam bike decided to perform an overtaking manoeuvre by overtaking the Honda Shuttle on its right. Just then, the Honda Shuttle does an unexpected (and illegal) U-turn without signalling. Unable to react accordingly, the cam bike smashed into the side of the Honda Shuttle. Judging how the Honda Shuttle driver drives, he either forgot to put up his P-Plate, or he doesn't give a shit about other road users. The Aftermath A mere $200 fine for this Honda Shuttle, along with the repair fees of the motorcycle/motorcyclist's insurance claim, seems unjust for his actions. Luckily, no passengers suffered serious injuries during this accident. Earlier this morning, an GoAhead bus driver and his passengers found themselves in an unfortunate predicament during the morning rush hour. The video starts with a cam car turning into a junction near Loyang Ave towards Tampines Ave 7. The driver notices a green GoAhead bus travelling straight through the junction as the car slowly inches forward. He then stops in the yellow box as he lets the bus pass through the junction. Out of the blue, another bus appears from the right of the cam car and abruptly turns into the junction. The sudden movement causes the second bus to hit the back of the first bus, which results in the exploding of the windows on the first bus. Passengers situated near the windows appear to be in shock as the first bus comes to a complete stop. Pictures of the damage from the accident are posted online as well. What exactly happened? According to an online post, it appears that the driver of the second bus had misjudged the proximity of the other bus in the junction. This explains why he thought it would be possible for his bus to squeeze into the junction. Netizens' reactions I can't imagine what it must have felt like for the window beside you to suddenly shatter into a thousand pieces. Well, I would think otherwise. Watch this clip and find out why: This incident happened at an open-air carpark, located at 877 Tampines Street 84. What happened? The Lalamove driver, who was driving a Renault SUV, was caught on cam reversing into a PARKED AND STATIONARY Perodua. Oh wells. I am guessing the Lalamove driver held onto the notion that parking with cars around you will be easier. After realising he hit the Perodua, the Lalamove driver did not bother to even alight and check on the damage to both cars. Instead, he scooted away and parked at a nearby lot. How did it happen? Honestly, I don't know how an incident like this can even happen. I mean, almost every modern car these days comes equipped with parking sensors and a reverse camera. I am assuming that the Lalamove driver: (1) was using his mobile phone while reversing, or (2) did not bother to check his side mirrors while reversing. It is almost impossible to commit a hit and run in this day and age, especially with every vehicle armed with a dashcam - You will be caught, and the police will find you. What started as heavy rain in the wee hours of the morning gradually turned into a flash flood for Singaporeans living in the East. If you missed what happened, watch these videos taken from various perspectives: The flash flood occurred just after Tampines Expressway (TPE) Exit 5, at the junction of Tampines Ave 10 and Pasir Ris Ave 12. What happened? The heavy rain resulted in PUB disseminating numerous flood risk alerts for various locations across the island throughout the morning of 20th August. Here's a video to give you an idea of the intensity and volume of water from today's heavy rain: The flash flood caused a total of 13 vehicles to be partially submerged. As a result of the rising water level, these vehicles could not move due to the excessive water that entered the engine bay. NGL, but I am afraid these vehicles will never be the same again. Aftermath A total of 25 people self-evacuated their vehicles before SCDF officers arrived on the scene, while SCDF officers evacuated 5 other people. The SCDF also conveyed 1 person to Changi General Hospital due to a leg injury. We wish the injured party a speedy recovery!! Earlier this morning, a photo of a BlueSG driver's unfortunate situation at Tampines was posted on Facebook. Judging from the caption, it seems like the driver tried to park the vehicle but ended up over-reversing onto the cement kerb. Even the electric charger was knocked down in the process as well. Little did he know... Now, we don't know whether to laugh or be angry if we came across such a situation. As seen on STOMP is this video of a driver driving along Tampines Ave 4 with the intention of turning into Tampines Central 1 when he/she realises that there is suddenly another car in his/her path. This was captured on 8th of Dec 2020 and we bet the camera car driver must have been shocked as he seemed to be traveling at a decent speed before needing to slam onto the brakes after he spots the offending car in his lane. -
A CEMENT-MIXER driver has been charged over the fatal crash in Tampines which claimed the lives of two brothers and cast the spotlight on heavy vehicles and road safety. Munir Mohd Naim, 57, is claiming trial to causing the deaths of Nigel Yap Yew Cheong, 13, and Donavan Yap Teck Siong, seven, by a negligent act at the traffic light cross-junction of Tampines Avenue 9 and Tampines Street 45 on Jan 28. Nigel was cycling and taking his brother - who was riding pillion - home after school when they were struck by the cement mixer at about 5.40pm. Munir Mohd allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout while making a left turn from Tampines Avenue 9 into Street 45 when the traffic light was showing "green" in his favour. This is so that you’d know if there was anything out of place or needed repairs. At 8.50pm Sunday (27 Sep), a car unfortunately caught fire when it was at the junction of Tampines Ave 2 and Tampines Street 23. Fortunately, both driver and passenger managed to save themselves in time before authorities arrived. Car catches fire at Tampines traffic junction A video uploaded to Singapore Road Accident Facebook page shows clouds of billowing smoke emanating from the vehicle. Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel was seen swiftly extinguishing the fire, as other vehicles had no choice but to wait in tow. Images of the aftermath show how badly charred the car was once the flames were put out. The traffic junction of Tampines Ave 2 and Tampines Street 23 is near Tampines East MRT. Driver & passenger escaped with no injuries According to SCDF, they were alerted to fire at about 8.50pm. They confirmed that the incident involved only a car. Despite the intensity of the flames, the driver and 1 passenger fortunately made it out in one piece. They reported no injuries as they had escaped from the car by themselves before SCDF arrived. The flames were successfully put out using a water jet. Cause of fire is currently under investigation. How to prevent your car from catching fire Car fires are statistically quite rare. Though there is a chance of it happening still, and it’s mainly due to ignition sources like overheating and electrical faults within the engine. SCDF advises that every vehicle should be equipped with a fire extinguisher in the moment of an emergency. To further prevent your vehicle from catching fire, you should: Send your vehicles for regular service Check for defects at engine, electrical & fuel systems after each service Often check for oil leaks too. In the event of a fire, stop and get out of your vehicle right away, and call 995. Kudos to SCDF for extinguishing the fire While it’s shocking that a car had gone up in flames in the middle of a busy junction, it’s good to know that there were no casualties. Kudos to SCDF for rushing to the scene and extinguishing the fire in time.

Even if you are in a hurry, this is not the way to ride. Spotted going around group chats in Whatapp, a video of a biker who tried to overtake and crashed has gone viral recently. The accident which happened on TPE near IKEA Tampines, in the direction of Pasir Ris, was captured by the camera car on 27 Jun 2020. In the video we can see this biker who apparently had no bike license or insurance crashing badly while he tried to overtake the camera car which was changing lanes. Check out how far his bike went ahead of the camera car after the collision! According to Sg Road Vigilante, the rider was later arrested. Thankfully, the rider escaped death and we hope the authorities deal with him properly for hurting the road divider that he crashed into. Check out what netizens have to say about this crash! -
Suprised noone talking about this EC development so I shall start. Submitted my e-application for my 1st home on Sunday! So exciting! It is a short walk to existing Tampines MRT, a much shorter walk to the future Tampines circle line, and next to bus interchange. 3 big shopping centres Tampines 1, Century Square and Tampines Mall. Cold storage, NTUC fairprice and NTUC finest and if its not good enough, there is a huge factory sized giant, courts and ikea 3 mins drive away. 2 good sized cinemas, at least 6 food courts spread around the mall areas. Tamp business hub is just next door and sun plaza park too. Tampines integrated sports hub with bowling alley tennis badminton and swimming pools coming up soon. Bike track across the road that leads to pasir ris. Near to a few expressways - PIE, TPE and KPE(by traveling from the new flyover). Only downside I see is lcation is quite far away(Tampines) but i am fine cause i grew up in the east. And wet market is quite a far walk. Nearby got Shell, esso, and a few more I didnt notice cause I only pump shell. For $750psf indicative normal units and $570psf indicatives for penthouse units, should be not bad for such an area. What are all the lau jiao's opinions? And no I am in no way affliated with Sim Lian or Orange Tee haha...

Lobang for MCF bro, Shell station @ Tampines Ave 4, near St Hilda's Pri Sch, is closing down. They are giving discount vouchers valid for One (1) year and can be used island wide at all Shell station. In the booklet, there are 4 x $3 & 4 X $6 discount vouchers for the 12th months until 14 Dec 2016. Each discount voucher is for minimum pump of $30 for diesel or $60 for petrol (10%). The discount is on top of existing prevailing card discount. Existing Citibank - 10%, HSBC - 16%. Must registered with Shell Esc card to get d booklet. Each car owner can get only one booklet. Hi, On 22, March 2016, my car (Ssangyong) was seriously damaged due to a hit-and-run incident at Ikea Tampines; (Park Level 1; parking lot 230). We found some broken parts at the site of the accident which belong to a silver Daihatsu Terios or Toyota Rush. Please find enclosed the picture of a similar car. The Terios/Rush must be damaged on the left front bumper with dark grey scratches, it might be that the bumper is very loose as we found many clips and screws all over the accident site. In the enclosed picture, I have marked the missing piece and also where the Terios/Rush must be damaged. Actually, Daihatsu Terios and Toyota Rush are the same cars with the only difference being the company logo. Please have a look out to help to find the Terios/Rush with the missing part and dark grey scratches driving around. For anyone who can send me any information (such as an image of the car, car plate number, name of driver, video, etc) which eventually helps to find the culprit, will get a reward of 500,- SGD in cash.
