  1. As the camcar so aptly put it, “this one not happy le” What happened? Just yesterday on Ang Mo Kio Ave 9, a poor Kia Seltos got the tongue lashing of their year after turning in just a bit too soon and tight on a Toyota Axio. Looking at the video, you might be thinking “eh he turn right but not in the correct lane, then his fault lah”. WRONG. As we can see from the above photo, the Kia is perfectly within their rights to make a right turn despite not being in the right-most lane. Now, is that an excuse for turning a bit too early and risking an accident? Probably not. But they could be a new and inexperienced driver. Rookie mistake, totally understandable. The Toyota driver DID NOT care. Bro pulled up and blocked the Kia’s path to make sure there could be no escape. As usual, someone please translate whatever the driver said. All I know is that if it was in Cantonese it would be far more severe. After that, he just got back into his car and carried on with their day. Not sure why it was so short, if he was willing to get out of the car to scold them. Online chatter People agreed it was the Kia’s fault, by turning so tightly an accident could have happened. Others also praised the Toyota for the scolding. Which is probably good, the Kia will consider their turning radius a bit more in the future. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 2. When the video has no audio, you know who is to blame already. What happened? A camcar tried to cut into the left lane on Loyang Way (yellow box btw). Unfortunately for him, the lorry behind him was having none of it. Since the video has no audio we do not know what made the camcar back out, though a big honk is always a good deterrent. After securing his position in the lane, the lorry driver followed up by flipping off the camcar and a few more angry gestures. He went back into the car, and just when you thought it was over… Honestly? Good aim. I could see bro calculate the spread of water and the distance to reach the camcar. Online chatter If the camcar uploaded the footage to rally people to his side, it backfired. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 3. Imagine seeing a whole VAN lane split better than motorcycles. Get this driver into teaching ASAP. What happened? A Malaysian-registered Hyundai Starex on the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) was presented ‘the bird’ by 2 motorcyclists passing by, and proceeded to take off and chase after the offenders. The original FB post implies that the bikes were also Malaysian-registered, due to the quote “chase down fellow countrymen on bikes”, but the plate numbers are too small to make anything of it. There is no context to why the bikers flipped off the Hyundai, if there was any motive at all behind it. What we do know is that the Hyundai did not take it lying down. Without missing a beat they chased after the bikes, weaving between vehicles and somehow avoided any damage, as the FB post also said “Almost scratching whole line of vehicles”. Bro was HIM. Bro taught the Fast and Furious cast how to drive. The amount of focus to keep from touching others with such a big vehicle though… Online chatter Many were impressed at the van’s skills. As impressive as it was, some still noted that the driver posed a danger to others and wanted them to face consequences. Starexes seem to have a bad reputation too... ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 4. This one needs to learn what karma is. Watch the video to see why! What happened? A Volkswagen Touran driver was caught on camera having a fit of road rage after a camcar tried to move in front of him after the other lane was closed. The footage shows the camcar accelerating in order to get past him as the other lane was undergoing construction, only for the manoeuvre to be unsuccessful. However, the Volkswagen suddenly braked, almost causing an accident. The driver quickly ran out of the car. The video then switches to another camera to show the driver vigorously shaking the door, slamming it repeatedly before walking back to his car. A CERTIS officer was also present, though there’s nothing to show if he was involved or not in defusing the situation. Funnily enough, the VW driver was caught cutting others off as well in a separate incident, and this time a police vehicle no less! Not sure what turn signal uses the taillights of both sides. I think the officer would be curious too, assuming making such a sudden turn is acceptable in the first place Online chatter Many said “GG” for cutting off the police vehicle in the first incident. Others (rightfully) criticised the driver for his unacceptable and hypocritical behaviour, asking authorities to punish him. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 5. I'm not much of a road-rager while I'm driving, but I have witnessed some pretty stupid things that people have done while they're mad. TBH, this blog post was one of the most childish things I've ever seen and I wonder if there are more nut cases like this? 🙄
  6. TL;DR - PMD rider and ComfortDelGro taxi driver making a big fuss over road blocking, argument ended up being a battle of cussing at each other's parents. ‘Guai-lan’ or childish? Or both? Watch this 88-second video of these two idiots disputing over something trivial. What happened? A PMD rider and a ComfortDelGro taxi driver get into a heated argument over road blocking. In the video, the taxi driver lashed out at the PMD rider for road hogging while the PMD rider claimed that he did not see the taxi behind, thus blocking the road unintentionally. This misunderstanding blew up which led to the whole scene of them ‘kpkb’ at each other. In the midst of this intense squabble, both parties were crying father and mother; basically revolving the entire feud cursing each other’s parents. Two grown-up men engaging in such childish behaviors, not cool man, not cool. Is this the new way to get to know each other? Damn, feels like I’m watching some Hong Kong drama. Online Chatter Feels like a catfight but this time with two men whose ages probably add up to >100 years old… From this we can clearly tell age does not define maturity. Are you #TeamTaxiDriver or #TeamPMDRider? Moral of the Story It is important to keep in mind that courtesy is a two-way street. 7. TL;DR - Suzuki Vitara squares up to cam car after abruptly changing lanes at Punggol. So who needs to go for their refresher course? Watch this 79-second video of this face-off. What happened? The cam car submitted this footage claiming that the Vitara driver wasn’t happy that he filtered into his lane (even though he signaled his intention). The Vitara continued to tailgate and got out from his car to affront the cam car. The Vitara was allegedly behaving aggressively, demanding a response from the cam car on why he cut into his lane. Fearing the safety of his passengers, the cam car did not cave in and engage in a fight. But it is said that he will be making a police report on this situation. From the cam car’s POV, he felt that there was ample time and space for him to filter into the lane but the Vitara was making a mountain out of a molehill about it. Online Chatter Major plot twist when the cam car got pwned so badly in the comments section - his plan backfired big time man. Moral of the Story Not everyone who submits their cam car footage first is in the right. At least make sure the other party is 100% in the wrong before uploading your footage. Whilst others can make a mountain out of a molehill, you might just make yourself a laughing stock. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 8. TL;DR - A Malaysian-registered Toyota Alphard jumped in line and forced its way into a jam-packed lane at JB Checkpoint, causing his car to get scratched. The driver then demanded the cam car for compensation sparking an argument between both drivers. The New Year long weekend means more cars stuck at the causeway for a long time. But, that also means tempers will rise and the chances of a mishap occurring increases. To be honest, I would be surprised if the weekend went by without incident. Watch this 96-second road rage confrontation for one such incident. What happened? Footage of the incident showed that there were long snaking queues at the JB checkpoint as the cam car and a Malaysian registered Alphard approached the merging lane. The Alphard driver winded down his window to signal his intention of merging into the cam car’s lane. However, the cam car seemed to be caught off guard and thus, moved forward as well. This resulted in the Alphard grazing the front of the cam car. Undoubtedly, it sparked anger as the Alphard driver came out of his car to take picture proof of the cam car, and continued to display gestures of unhappiness. The driver allegedly demanded for compensation for the damage caused (but it is unclear how this incident was resolved). Online Chatter: Seems like netizens are faulting the Alphard driver for being a reckless driver. Takeaway Regardless, we should all be nice on the road - don't be so 'kanchiong'! All it takes is a little bit of graciousness and consideration from every road user. This kind thought will only slow you down for three seconds, but it will definitely save you from hours of anger afterwards. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 9. TL;DR - A Mitsubishi Outlander driver turned right on a left-only lane and got honked at by a cam car. The driver then decided to get out of his car and let his middle fingers loose. Is being or at least acting fierce, the way out of any argument? Seems like this Mitsubishi Outlander driver is a firm believer of such a mindset. Watch this 99-second video and we’ll see if you share the same sentiments as most people after. What happened? In the video, we see a very self-entitled driver pointing his exceptionally long middle finger at the cam car. Reason? Because he’s in the wrong. Whut? Perhaps the driver believes whoever gets mad first automatically puts the other party at fault? He carried on raging at the poor cam car driver when he was the one at fault. Consider my mind officially blown. Before leaving the scene, he kept flipping the bird at the cam car like he was doing some ritualistic, voodoo dance. Pretty hilarious if you ask me. Gentle Reminder to all road users: Driving without due care or reasonable consideration for other road users carries a whopping 9 demerit points and a grand fine of $300. Let’s dive into the online chat box. Seems intense over there. No holds barred against the Mitsubishi driver. He has officially gotten his role as an Internet clown. Let’s just say there’s loads more of such hate comments directed at him, but for now, we’ll leave it here. Therefore, folks, be vigilant when you drive - don’t get yourself on SG Road Vigilante! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 10. TL;DR: C-HR driver is unhappy cam car driver did not let him into lane, proceeds to brake-check, confront and attempt to cause accidents “When in the wrong, just continue heck care since already wrong once” a motto this crazy C-HR beng believes in. To get an idea of the madness involved, watch the following 3.5-minute clip: What started it From 0:55, we can see “King Ander” — as inscribed on the C-HR’s driver side window — wanting to switch into the cam car’s lane, since his lane is left-turn only. He’s already left a significant gap from the white Serena ahead, and doesn’t seem to have signalled right, since there are no flashes from his mirror-mounted indicators. The cam car driver is having none of “King Ander’s” entitlement, so he just drives on. Displeased, the C-HR encroaches into the cam car’s lane as an attempt at intimidation, to no avail. Just before approaching the junction, the C-HR finally turns on its right indicators. Seeing the road clear up ahead, it gives up trying to merge, driving straight on and squeezing out the cam car in the process. Tyrannical behaviour commences Not satisfied with getting ahead, the C-HR seizes the opportunity to “punish” the cam car, flooring it across some chevrons and abruptly cuts across 2 lanes, just to perform a double brake check. At least he remembered to use his signals this time. Having boxed the cam car in traffic, he gets out for a confrontation to act tough. Another angle of this beng’s mug taken by the cam car’s passenger, with profane gestures and all; certainly not behaviour befitting a king. Realising they have all sorts of incriminating evidence, he finally retreats to his car, but not before a final "dirty trick”. As the cam car switches lanes to distance itself, this tyrant attempts to force the cam car off the road right across 4 lanes beyond his own, before switching again to the next lane, all without signalling. All in, the 8 (at least) infractions included: Failure to signal intention (multiple) Failure to stay in lane Driving over chevrons Driving into an oncoming lane Brake-checking Stopping on a double zigzag Causing an obstruction Attempting to cause an accident Online reactions The majority of comments appear to condemn both parties, stating that the cam car driver was partly at fault for not giving way to “King Ander”, despite his lack of signalled intention early on. While in the minority, there were still a few condemning his actions. What do you think, should the cam car driver be more gracious even if he was entirely in the right, or was this C-HR beng wrong to bully even if he's "King (Ander)" of the road? 11. Road rage incidents are common, where we see cases of retaliation such as flashing signal lights or playing the braking game. I wouldn't want to be caught up in such a scenario as its unpleasant for everyone involved (some drivers thrive on this aggression however!). Just recently, another mini spat was captured on camera and was published for the world to see. Take a look below: Fierce meets fierce Let us recap the crucial parts. First, we see the driver driving as per usual, but the headlights illuminate a growing figure ahead. Judging from the screenshot, the speed of the car and the braking distance needed would have been incredibly stressful for the driver to. Scary. The driver honked as a warning, prompting the aggressive pedestrian to gesture angrily in return. Clearly, he thought he had right of way. Next thing you can see is the 'Angry Pedestrian' coming forward after a few choice vulgarities from the cam car. They both exchange more obscenities, and it ends with the pedestrian delivering a blow to the bonnet: Let the comments come! The netizens never fail to deliver, as usual. To be fair, the situation could have been avoided had the driver braked and not gone forward to rebuke the pedestrian. Sometimes turning the other cheek is the way to go. Some netizens made fun of the driver that was quick to run off after getting his car slapped. Guess his bark is worse than his bite after all! We see that the Causeway Lady's antics live on! Thankfully, the pedestrian did no such thing. We saved the best for the last: LOL! What you can control and what you cannot control Was the pedestrian acting recklessly and being unreasonable? Yes. Could the driver also have approached it better by simply braking and keeping mum? Yes, too! Sometimes the best way to proceed is to rein in your temper. Some problems are not that big once you step back to survey the full picture. Luckily, the situation did not escalate into one of extreme violence. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 12. Angsty uncle takes time out of his day to teach a blur driver a lesson. The video starts with the cam car behind the uncle, who was driving a Mazda CX-3. As the lights changed, the black Mazda proceeded to make its turn, only to be rudely cut off by a white Hyundai Elantra that had turned into the wrong lane. This infuriated the uncle, who honked loudly to alert the white car of his presence. Here is a closer look: As the cam car continued driving down the road, the Mazda suddenly revved its engine and sped ahead. The uncle then slotted himself back into the first lane, right in front of the fella who had previously cut into his lane. He then hit his brakes, scaring both the Hyundai and the cam car driver. As the cam car came to a stop, the uncle from the black Mazda alighted from his vehicle and angrily approached the white Hyundai. He then gave a pretty stern verbal lashing to the driver before making his way back to his vehicle. The video ends with all three vehicles driving off after the uncle's confrontation. Netizens' reactions Seeing how he just turned into the wrong lane, I would guess that it's probably the Hyundai driver's first few times on the road. These people obviously need to be sent back to their driving schools! Was their instructor asleep at the wheel when they did their TP? 😒 If the uncle hadn't publicly confronted the fella, this would have been 100% in his favour. ======== Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 13. The first thing I would do when I spot a hazardous driver is to get FAR AWAY from them. My reasons for doing so are: (1) I am a defensive driver (2) I love my car However, for this Toyota Noah driver, he does the exact opposite of what I would do: What Happened? An elderly Toyota Hiace driver woke up on a fine morning and decided to be a d!ck on the road by cutting off a Toyota Noah at a junction upon the traffic light turning green. (1 count of near collision) In response, the Noah driver tapped on his brakes repeatedly and even jam-braked at one point to avoid a collision with the van. At this point, the Noah driver was probably seeing red as he began driving aggressively, including overtaking the Hiace using a right-turn-only lane. Further down the road, both vehicles drove side by side (probably exchanging hand gestures and vulgarities) when the elderly Hiace driver decided to pull his stunt AGAIN - by cutting in front of the Noah driver once again. (2 counts of near collision) The obviously furious Toyota Noah driver retaliated by overtaking the Hiace from the left and cutting in front of it. (3 Counts of near collision) ANDDDDD....the Hiace performed exactly what the Noah driver did to him - by overtaking from the left and cutting in front of the Noah driver. (4 Counts of near collision) At last, both drivers' shenanigans ended when they stopped at a red light. However, the Toyota Noah driver alighted from his vehicle, walked brazenly towards the driver's side window of the Hiace, and gave it one good smack, jolting the elderly driver. The Noah driver made a rude hand gesture towards the elderly driver before returning to his MPV. Too old to drive? Or is he simply an elderly d-bag? Whatever it is, this elderly driver should have his driver's license revoked for two simple reasons: (1) Assuming his actions were unintentional...it suggests that he is unfit to drive due to his age (Eg. Poor eyesight, hand-eye coordination, or a lapse in judgement). (2) Assuming his actions were intentional...nuff said. Netizens' Comments The comment we needed👆 This is what happens when you are old, but stubborn af and insist on driving. IMO, he's lucky to walk away with only a smack on his window and a rude hand gesture. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 14. For years... the long and painful war against the tyrants of the roads... the cyclists... has dragged on and on. Eh, we tahan a lot already OK! Repeating instances like these make it so hard to like them, don't you agree? At a bustling junction at Potong Pasir (segueing into Serangoon Road), in the early evening when road users were making their way home after a tiring day at work--- a dashcam video was captured of this errant cyclist! Such misdeeds put onto record, laid out for the world to see. Take a look at the video, if you can bear the oncoming rage you will feel: 293790065_1041116233131622_7034219696884844264_n.mp4 Damn. If you didn't catch that, the lady cyclist basically: 1) Almost rammed into a taxi Here is a zoom in: 2) Then, continued cycling on her merry way, disregarding the flow of traffic, 3) Causing the owner of the dashcam to have to brake abruptly Goodness gracious me. Fuiyoh! All her actions speak volumes about her mindset and values. We don't like to nag so we will just let our favourite Doge meme express how we feel: Doesn't it just make you seethe? The utter callousness of the cyclist? I think I shook my head so much my neck now has a cramp. The court of public opinion As one might expect, the online commentators ripped into the cyclist viciously. No mercy given here, no! Top Fan No.1 took on a chiding and reprimanding tone. While we agree that not all cyclists act like her... It seems funny that 99.5% percent always seem to exhibit the same traits of road-hogging and dangerous riding that causes inconvenience to others. But ahem, we digress. Top Fan No.2 delivers his devastating, and well-put, critique too. Haha! That sure is one way of solving the problem. Show her the might of the car horn, brother! Lastly, saving the best for the last: Great question, Top Fan No.3 (Wow! What's with the sudden influx of Top fans? This article must have generated the ire of many) Cease and desist, please We're not saying some people should have their bikes away... We are totally saying they should have their bikes taken away. But is it so hard to practice good road safety and habits? One of the first fundamentals of driving we were taught was to always be aware of your surroundings. (PSA to cyclists: please don't do what she did. Just know, if you ever pull the same stunt she did, inside the cars they will be cursing you soundly.) What if a car had slammed into her? What if she had crashed into a vehicle she was not aware of? Hospital bills, workshop fees. The worst part for the others involved? It wouldn't have been their fault. An accident that could have been easily avoided. Don't play play, life is precious. Good road habits may very well be the difference in whether you make it home alive and in one piece... or in a blue SPF tent. 15. A Mercedes-Benz C180 was caught swerving abruptly between lanes from Punggol Road all the way to Rivervale Lane. This led to netizen suspicions that the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence. Watch the video for yourself below: 293321461_569060238102925_3729722432454140138_n.mp4 At the end of the video, the driver comes out of the car and stumbles toward the cam car. It’s highly suspected that the driver must be under some kind of influence, this behaviour does not seem like something a sober person would do It’s also ridiculous how he managed to feel entitled enough to be angry at the cam car driver despite him being the one driving recklessly on the road. Some people do deserve to be knocked down a few pegs. But, as always, there's two sides to a coin. It is uncertain as to what happened prior to the start of the video. Maybe the cam car driver antagonised the C180 driver? Netizen Comments Netizens have expressed their suspicions of the Mercedes driver being under the influence, as well as criticizing him for playing the victim I hope this man can receive the proper punishment that he deserves after endangering other lives on the road. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 16. Let’s be frank. Cyclists have made a notorious reputation for themselves over the years. They are known to be among the top cause of annoyance to motorists, which easily frustrates motorists when they encounter an errant cyclist on the road. Watch this video to find out what happens when an impatient driver meets a ‘guai-lan’ cyclist: What Happened? While travelling on a two-carriageway road, an SBS bus on the left lane switched on his right signal indicator after realising that a heavy vehicle was obstructing the lane. Just then, an errant Power-Assisted Bicycle (PAB) user who was lane-splitting in the middle of both lanes observed the SBS bus’ intention and proceeded to make an abrupt lane change without checking his side mirrors and his blind spot. The cyclist’s abrupt lane change alarmed the cam car driver, who was travelling in the right lane then. As a result, the cam car driver sounded his honk at the cyclist to alert him of his reckless manoeuvre. In response, the PAB cyclist threw an angry hand gesture to demonstrate his displeasure towards the cam car driver for honking at him. Following that, the cyclist began performing brake checks on the cam car driver and began riding at a slow pace. (Yes, I didn’t know brake checks were a thing for cyclists too) Not to anyone’s surprise, the cam car driver got impatient and frustrated at the PAB cyclist and began sounding long, consistent honks at the cyclist. Now, you would think that the cyclist has used up all the tricks up his sleeve after the angry hand gesture, the brake checks and riding at an extremely slow pace. Well, you are absolutely wrong! What he does next will make you marvel at how ‘guai-lan’ he can be — the PAB cyclist proceeded to disembark from his bike! Upon disembarkation, he kicks his bike stand and leaves his bike in the middle of the road with his arms folded before taunting the cam car driver to get past his man-made obstruction. Shortly after performing his ‘winning’ move and posing for the camera, he throws another angry hand gesture at the cam car driver before zipping away on his PAB. Latest Update Additional clips of him behaving like a road menace and committing multiple offences have surfaced on the internet. Watch it here: Netizens’ Comments Wise words from a concerned netizen. Seems like this PAB cyclist have developed quite a reputation in the Sengkang/Punggol area🤔 This fella here wants to fight fire with fire😱 ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 17. The following incident is quite a handful, featuring an inconsiderate Suzuki swift driver, the Suzuki's 'guai-lan' passenger and a very angry cam car driver. Watch the it here: What Happened? The incident occurred at an open-air carpark. For some reason, the female Suzuki Swift driver decided to drive out of the parking lot to the middle of the road for her passenger (likely her son) to load groceries into the car. Just then, the cam car driver that was parked opposite the Suzuki Swift wanted to drive off, only to be blocked by the Suzuki Swift. There was nothing the cam car driver could do but watch the male passenger load up the groceries into the Suzuki Swift. At this point, the cam car driver started to get annoyed by the pair's inconsiderate and selfish act. After turning out to the main road of the carpark, the cam car driver meets the male passenger again - this time, on his way to return the trolley. Upon realising the cam car was trailing closely behind him, the male passenger turned around and started making hand gestures to the cam car. Moments later, he suddenly stopped walking, which caused the cam car to gently 'bump' into him (?). The male passenger immediately whips out his mobile phone to take pictures of the cam car and film him. And even as the male passenger was filming the cam car, the obviously infuriated cam car driver decided to intimidate him by inching forward, nearly hitting the youth once again. In retaliation to the cam car's intimidation, the youth gently slides the trolley towards the cam car, which knocks into the cam car's front bumper. It is uncertain how the incident ended. Regardless, both parties were definitely in the wrong. One party lacked the graciousness and upbringing, while the other decided to take matters into his own hands and attempted to intimidate the youth by inching his car towards him. What do you think? Netizens' Comments This would be a funny😂 But I think he might have really been knocked into tho. But his reaction still GTG lah🥴 Need to ownself check ownself first. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 18. TL;DR – A driver of a Rolls Royce Phantom holds up traffic in Tiong Bahru because he was unwilling to scratch his car on a BMW X5 parked ever so slightly out of its lot. Hi all! Just a quick one today before I leave the office. This one is too juicy not to share. This video has gained 41k views in just 1-hour after uploading it on Facebook. That’s insane. Let’s watch the 57-second video here. Are you an idiot, sir? The video begins with the person recording the video asking the Rolls Royce driver whether he’s an idiot. It really looks like there’s more than enough space tbh. The BMW is parked just ever so slightly off the line. If kena, you pay? To which the driver of the Rolls retorts: A Caucasian lady attempts to diffuse the situation by asking him calmly to move his car closer to see whether he can clear the ‘tight’ space. But he says that he wants the selfish ‘b**tard’ of the X5 to come and move the car instead of him moving. Isn’t he being selfish too? There’s clearly enough space! Online Chatter Lots of commenters think the car isn’t his. I’m leaning towards that too! ======== Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  19. Watching the way these two drivers fight, they probably have clocked in a ton of hours on the game. Although the two vans were blocking the cam car at the junction, the driver got a first-row ticket to a pretty intense fight. The video starts with the cam car driver showing the two stationary vans in the middle of the traffic junction. The driver of the white van marches over to the black van, aggressively pulling the other driver out of his vehicle. Slamming the first driver against his van, the second driver tries to subdue his opponent. Amidst their power struggle, the wife of the second van driver steps out to stop the brawl and save her husband. She falls to the ground, clinging onto both men as they continue their battle. The video ends with the first van driver on top of the second driver. Both men were attempting to strangle the other party. According to the cam car driver, the fight happened along Yio Chu Kang. Before the fight occurred, the drivers were arguing with each other. He also stated that the second driver apologised to him for blocking the traffic after the incident was over. Netizens’ reactions While I do understand why the cam car driver chose not to step in, I agree that we should always try and stop others from getting into a physical fight in public. 🙅‍♀️ Judging from the video, it does look like the two van drivers were intensely hugging instead of actually brawling. Hopefully, this is the last time we see a fight like this on our streets. Especially during such a festive season! 😰 ======== Receive a $10 PayNow for every submission we publish on Facebook! 20. I understand that not all drivers and cyclists get along, but isn't it better to give way than to endanger the lives of others when you're in the wrong? https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=271869238455173 On Saturday (March 12) night, two or three cyclists and the cam car driver were cruising down a road in Yishun when they encountered the reckless driver. As the group went by a petrol station, they spotted the Toyota Altis turning out. After failing to give way to the cyclists and the cam car, the Altis immediately brakes after it turns out. This scares the cyclists, who swerved to avoid a head-on collision with the thoughtless driver. They could also be heard yelling 'Oi' at the driver in the video, which provoked him even more. Continuing on their route, both cyclists and the cam car sped up and overtook the car. The cyclists then looked back to check on the location of the raging driver as they hurriedly peddled. This upsets the Altis driver, who immediately sped up and recklessly merged into their lane - just to step on his brakes. His pride must have been seriously hurt as the cyclists deftly avoided his attacks, resulting in a second attempt to block them (and almost running one of the cyclists over). The way the driver tries to get the cyclists reminds me of a classic Tom and Jerry scene. The video ends with the Toyota Altis turning left and exiting the road. Netizens' reactions Netizens were divided on placing blame after watching this video. Some condoned the driver's reckless actions while others condoned the way the cyclists were cycling on the road. While watching the video, it is possible that the cyclists provoked the driver by shouting at him for not giving way to them. Yep, I think the blame is 50/50. While the cyclists were quite rude (and took up the entire lane after overtaking), the driver endangered the lives of everybody when he played his petty games. At the end of the day, the moral of the story is that no matter whether we are drivers or cyclists, we all need to show some compassion and be gracious while on the road. ======== Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 21. If you are unaware, PAB stands for power-assisted bicycles, the 'legal version' of e-bikes that can be used on our roads. Unfortunately, this one reckless PAB rider simply could not stand getting honked while on the road and ended up road raging.\ Watch the video here: What Happened? A PAB biker was recklessly riding along Serangoon Ave 3 and was honked at by a car behind him. Upon getting honked at, the PAB biker instantaneously became noticeably upset and turned around to confront the driver. As he approached the driver, the PAB biker slapped the car's bonnet once and hit the driver's side window. He then aired his grievances before swinging open the car door forcefully. The forceful swing of the door caused it to close by itself after being fully extended. What Happened Off-Camera According to the user who submitted the video, the driver, an elderly uncle, was extremely shaken by the encounter and was 'teary-eyed'. Apparently, the PAB rider dropped his number plate at the incident site It was subsequently retrieved by the cam car driver and the uncle. And let's be real here: The uncle did not deserve that kind of treatment. His honk was a subtle honk to alert the PAB rider rather than a honk to provoke him. SMH, another unjustified case of bullying. Netizens' Comments Just like cyclists. The uncle was indeed trying to alert the PAB rider of his surroundings. What offences do y'all think the PAB rider committed? 22. Last week, the viral Bentley driver incident made us wonder about the association between rich people and their obnoxious behaviour. This week, we get a Mercedes driver who possesses similar obnoxious qualities. Watch the video here: What Happened? This road rage-induced incident occurred in the vicinity of private estates at Kovan Road. A Mercedes driver who wanted to turn right into an apartment estate took a grudge against an Audi driver who was going straight and had the right of way. As the Mercedes driver started filling with rage, he alighted from his car to confront the Audi driver while impeding its way. The Mercedes driver started shouting and gesturing wildly to the Audi driver while not wearing any face mask. It can be observed that the Audi driver had wound down the window, most likely to respond to the Mercedes driver's confrontation. Just then, the Mercedes driver took a few steps back as matters seemed to cool down. At the next moment, the Mercedes driver took a gradual leap forward and landed a 'flying punch' right in the Audi driver's face before walking away. NGL, the Audi driver deserves mad respect for doing the right thing by keeping his cool and not retaliating. Living Under A Rock Do you know what grinds my gears? Someone's audacity to think they can get away with it after committing a blatant, unlawful act. The Mercedes driver must be thinking that he still lives in the 1960s when he was 'young and dangerous', before the existence of technology. Well, jokes on him - With the existence of dashcams and social media, his unlawful act will not go unnoticed. Netizens' Comments Tell me about it. Do you know how many videos I have come across that had no head or tail??? Was this what people did back in the day when the yellow box was non-existent? LOL. 23. There is a saying that goes like this: "If you are not angry when you drive, you are the one making others angry." It is true to a certain extent, except that it is more towards being annoyed than being angry. However, for this particular taxi driver, he may have taken that quote a bit too far. Watch the video below to see how he expresses his anger towards a fellow motorist: Warning: The following video features plenty of Hokkien vulgarities, voice cracking and inaudible shouting. Watch it at your own risk! What Happened? The incident occurred along Jalan Sultan. Apparently, the Honda Odyssey driver cut from the extreme left to the extreme right lane (taxi driver's lane) without checking and almost caused an accident. The Honda driver's behaviour angered the taxi driver, which prompted the taxi driver to honk him. Unhappy at being honked at, the Honda driver stopped in the middle of the road, impeding the path of the taxi driver. Subsequently, both drivers alighted from their cars, and they began to exchange a series of glorious expletives. Below is a brief and translated version of their confrontation: A Mere Coincidence? IMO, the taxi driver ain't no angel either. It feels as if he was out to pick a fight with the Honda Odyssey driver for cutting into his lane. And somehow, there wasn't any footage of the Honda driver performing what the taxi driver claimed he did. That's a bit too coincidental, isn't it? Netizens' Comments Seems like the taxi driver was seizing the opportunity to vent his frustration on the Honda Odyssey driver. Sorry, I snickered at this comment. @Honda Odyssey driver Pls upload your dashcam footage. ======== Receive a $10 PayNow for every submission we publish on Facebook! 24. This Vin Diesel lookalike takes ‘no chill’ to the next level when he gets honked for driving recklessly. In this video, a driver was on his way to work when he meets a short-tempered and illogical Vin Diesel (SG version). The video starts with the cam car driver making a left turn on Circuit Road. He notices a white Honda CRV cutting across the double white lines as he does so. The white vehicle aims for the right lane (aka the one the cam car driver was already on) as it slides across the road like a seal into the ocean. Not wanting to be hit by the CRV, the cam car driver presses his horn to alert the other driver of his presence. This triggers the driver, who has not made it entirely into the lane yet but was ready to throw hands in the middle of the road. After adjusting his car’s position, the bald bold driver gets out of his car and starts one of the shortest confrontations I have ever seen. He glares threateningly at the cam car before waving his hands madly and scolding the driver for honking at him. After 5 seconds, he gets off his high horse and angrily returns to his vehicle. Honestly, I don’t know how some drivers can have such high egos when they are so blatantly in the wrong. Guessing game: How many demerit points does this driver deserve? Firstly, crossing double white lines is not allowed in Singapore. Drivers found guilty will receive a $150 fine and 4 demerit points. Secondly, drivers who fail to give way to oncoming traffic at a controlled or uncontrolled junction will receive a fine of up to $200 and 4 demerit points. Thirdly, drivers who fail to indicate or provide warning signals while driving will receive a fine of up to $150. Fourthly, while the confrontation only lasted about 5 seconds, it is still considered an act of road rage. According to the law, road rage happens when the driver, or passengers, alight from their vehicles to harm each other in a moment of anger. Offenders will receive a fine of up to $5,000 or an imprisonment term of up to 12 months. Lastly, drivers found guilty of careless driving will receive a fine of up to $250 and 6 demerit points. If we add all of these charges together, our burly Vin Diesel might be looking at a fine of up to $900 and 14 demerit points (not inclusive of road rage).
